Just curious - I was watching one of the shows from the Travel Channel I had taped, and it showed Indiana Jones as a ride. Is it a ride at another park, like DL, and a show at WDW?

It is a ride at DL and it is an amazing great wonderful fabulous terrific awsome best ever ride (I may be a bit biased towards it). It is a really well done ride though. At MGM in DW there is the stunt show which is fun, but definately is no where equal to the ride at DL, there have been rumors that they may be removing the stunt show and putting in the ride at MGM which would be great.

Thanks! The ride looked awesome...maybe I should plan a trip to California :cool1: !

I second this.

Indiana Jones Ride is AWESOME at DL - for those of you who have been on Dinosaur at AK in WDW it is the same ride platform and vehicle as the Indiana Jones ride at DL.

^ I totaly disagree with you.

The queue is worth the trip to California.

A bit of trivia....the Indy ride from DL is at WDW. Dinosaur is the same exact ride as Indy from DL, just a different story. It's one reason why I don't think we'll see that version of Indy at WDW.

True... but wasn't Body Wars basically the same ride as Star Tours?

And Dumbo, Astro Orbitor and Magic Carpets all the same ride as each other in the MK alone? :rotfl: I hope they bring Indiana Jones to WDW. :hyper:

Ok, but isn't the Indiana Jones ride at DL have multiple endings so you never have the same ride twice (or so they say)? I don't remember Dinosaur being that way (although I haven't ridden it since it was Countdown to Extinction because I'm a chicken!). If so, then they aren't exactly the same ride, just rethemed, at all. Same technology and ride platform, sure, but not the same ride.

It doesn't have different endings, but it is a bit different each time. Sometimes you vehicle will stall on the bridge, another time it will stall just before you enter the bug room. And at the end of the ride, Indy will say different things to the guests. Little things like that make it different, but there's only one track and one storyline.

It is definitely worth the trip to Disneyland. And it's a much better attraction than Dinosaur. And Indy was first.

That queue is hilarious - you enter this temple-like structure in Adventureland, and you go underground forever until you finally reach the boarding area. I read somewhere that it was done this way because there was no room for the ride in Adventureland, so the ride itself is actually in another land (Nevada, I think)! :smooth:

The ride itself is actually outside the park. It's the camouflaged building you see (and hear) from Downtown Disney. The queue was built on the old Eeyore parking area. If you find a CM with a good flashlight, ask them to point out Eeyore for you (when you're in the movie room).

Yes, that's true but I only mentioned because unlike the other attractions you all mentioned, it isn't obvious that Dinosaur and Indy are the same ride.
