My son pulled on it and the mumbling voice you normally hear yells out, "Hey!" and then says something else that I can't remember.

The queue at the IJ ride in DL is full of these kind of interactive elements.

Hhahaha! THat is one of the great Disney touches. When you pull on it the guy yells for help and then when you let go you hear a thud.
