Indian Creek / Formosa Gardens....Good area?

We're down to a choice of 3 villas ...all at extremely good prices...for our November/December holiday.

Anyone have experience of Indian Creek at Formosa Gardens ?

Is it as close to WDW as I'm led to believe ( 4 miles ).

I know the other two areas...........the deal-clincher could well be the PS2 and free internet access at Indian Creek !!

Any advice most gratefully received.

Hi Mike,

We've stayed in a few villas in that area - Windsor Palms x 2, Formosa Gardens x 1, Rolling Hills x 1 then we went on to buy our own home at Rolling Hills this year. It's a very safe bet to rent from this area as they are all in an excellent location with regard to Disney and also local amenities, restaurants such as The Outback, Giodannis, Carrabas, TGI's, Taco Bell, China Pearl, Subway, Goodings Supermarket, Eckerd Pharmacy which are all only 1mile away from your chosen villa @ Indian Creek.

I was under the impression that Disney was only 2.5 - 3miles from our home at Rolling Hills and we are opposite the Indian Creek development so you may find you're actually less than 4 miles away.

That's a reasonable estimate on the distance Mike. It's a very convenient area.

Hi Mike. We stayed at Indian Creek at Easter and found it very convenient... we've booked a neighbouring villa for Christmas. Having stayed further 'down' the 192 and in some outlying developments previously, I wouldn't bother to look for alternatives in future. All the best. Mike(!)

I just got back from a villa in Indian Creek last Friday.

It's ideally positioned for WDW, approx 10mins drive to AK, 15 mins MK, 25mins US/IOA.

There is some development going on but it was not intrusive.

All the villas are new & large.

I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else offsite!

Thanks to everyone for their help on this!

Decided to go with the villa..............I can always stay up late every night on holiday and post my reports ( !! ).

Just out of interest I reckon I got a good rate..?.....7 nights early December for £395? It's a 4-bedroom and includes pool heating.

We had a similar rate when we visited Windsor Palms a couple of years ago.

I would agree with you Mike, a very good rate as it includes the pool heating. In Dec you'll appreciate that and with energy costs running so high at the moment that's a good deal.
