Index cards? Spread Sheets? How to keep track of your plan?

How do you carry your "plan" into the parks with you? I'm looking for opinions on what works for different people when it comes to keeping track of your well thought out plan/schedule. I currently have everything written down in a spiral notebook, which I don't want to carry into the parks with me. Last year I wrote things down on index cards (each days plan on a different card). I have read about people having a spreadsheet (can't picture how this is laid out). Any tips?

Can you carry a pocket pda or palm pilot, or ipod touch kind of a portable device so you can read off of that?

I've created a spreadsheet on Excel. Below is a small screenshot. I have the different lands listed in the gray area on top. The titles "Rides & Attractions" and "Food" are written in the left column. This allows me to easily locate which rides I want to visit and what I like to eat in each area of the park. I created a similar spreadsheet for California Adventure and printed them back to back on a sheet of paper. Hope this helps! :)
