Because he got scared? He was inebriated and not thinking straight? I'm not saying what he did was right, but I'm reserving judgement until more facts come out.If it was consensual then why would he get spooked? Sorry, not buying that but you can of course. Everyone has a opinion.. If you have done nothing wrong there is no reason to run.
I'm pretty sure the girl knows if she had sex not. Consenual or not.We don't even know that there's been a crime or that there is even any "he" involved. It could be this woman just got stupid drunk, got naked and passed out. It's entirely in the realm of possibility that is all that happened. People do dumb things under the influence of alcohol pretty regularly. A condem nearby could simply mean someone else did something stupid. If a man was found stupid drunk and naked in the bushes people would assume he was just well, stupid drunk.
I thought the article said she didn't remember what happened?I'm pretty sure the girl knows if she had sex not. Consenual or not.
So you're saying that she either has to be physically fighting or unconscious for it to be rape? The two can not be compared. First, we don't know if this is rape because we don't know the entire situation. If this lady was forced and she was fighting him off or passed out I would say it is rape.
I think NHdisneylover explains it the best!

I wonder why a person who just committed rape would leave a used condom behind, which would contain the DNA evidence needed to show his guilt. It just doesn't make sense to me but I suppose there is a lot about all of this none of us will know or understand.
She said she didn't remember what happened, but I didn't read that she denied having sex. She may just not remember the encounter. I'd think she would know if she had sex the next morning even if she doesn't remember doing it.I thought the article said she didn't remember what happened?
The article I read said she wasn't aware if there had been a sexual encounter or not but if there had been it wasn't consensual.I'm pretty sure the girl knows if she had sex not. Consenual or not.
Thanks. I must have missed that. The article I read said she wasn't aware if there had been a sexual encounter or not but if there had been it wasn't consensual.
That is so sad that the woman got so trashed she can't remember anything. How does she know that it wasn't consensual?
The part of this story you find sad is that she had been drinking? THAT'S the sad part??
So you're saying that she either has to be physically fighting or unconscious for it to be rape?
Coercion doesn't count? That could very well be a possibility.
I tell you what I don't think is rape. I don't think a lady and a guy getting wicked wasted and they both have a feel good moment and the guy is under the impression she wants it. She isn't resisting at all and is even participating. Then the next morning she doesn't really remember anything, but cries rape. This is what I don't considered rape.
