CRUISE DOCS ARRIVED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay everybody, we're officially going with you all!!!!!! I'm about ready to bust!!! Went to Walmart today. Got more shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, a beach bag, and some seasick stuff.

What jobs are we abandoning for this adventure? I'm an A/P Supervisor for a commercial floor-covering contractor/stone fabricator. The DH is a SMSGT in the NJ Air National Guard. His jets have been flying over DC and NYC since 9/11. We REALLY need a vacation. The DS is leaving behind the 3rd grade for a week of fun in the sun.

I'll be looking for wild people in lime green T-shirts when I get on the BIG BOAT!!!! Can't wait to meet you all!!!!!

We got some photographers, day trippers, kiddos under 21, kiddos over 21 and lots of world experience. We could have our own company or something

Got to have humor on it though....now I am a serious kind of guy so just a little would be ok, but just enough to let other folks out there know we know how to have a good time

Gosh...I must've missed the post about of whomever asked what we do....but. Wow I luv Disney...what a coincidence... I am a programmer (SQL mostly) and DH is a Network Administrator. lol...

Any DBA's out there and we can start up our own .com...Won't need to worry about powerball then.

I am soooo excited. It is getting close to crunch time and I can't contain myself...lol.

Are we going to be on the computer geek cruise or what?? DH is also a systems analyst. We literally have to get out of the USA in order for him not to get paged/e-mailed/cell phoned while on vacation. I'm a respiratory therapist, but I've been a stay at home mom since we had our twins.

Started to weed out last years summer clothes for the kids. Our friend is going to have a garage sale in 2 weeks and I always have 3-4 bags of kids clothes to sell. Gotta make some extra spending $$ for vacation. Usually by now I'd have our bags packed and by the door, but this year I'm just not organized. Seems like there's too many distractions (like this board-LOL)!

We can take a stab at a cruise video. We got a digital/super 8 video/still camera before going to the Tae Kwon Do nationa championships last year. I think it does a pretty good job. Now I'm trying to figure out how to burn CDs instead of video tapes, but we'll get there!

Whoever said they can't concentrate on work, I SECOND THAT!! When I'm not at work, I'm so busy that I don't think about it, but at work, it seems like I just get pulled like a magnet to these boards!!!

Actually I was a SQL DBA 3 years ago, but got sick of the job and being on call 24/7 (being that I was the only DBA, the other guy had quit). 3 years ago I decided this was not what I wanted, after all my degree was in programming so then I quit and finally got my programming job (with the same company!).

DH is leaving his pager and on-call phone at home! Yeaaaaa!

I know how to get video to CD, we have purchased (some time back) some hardware/software package called Dazzle. What you do is plug your video camera into the dazzle hardware, then the Dazzle connects to the computer through a USB (or serial) cable. It comes with software to do pretty much what ever you want. It is pretty neat.

We are bringing along our camcorder as well as our digital still camera, so I will get some footage. We'll sell it on ebay...Inaugural cruise video...starting bid 20.00...haha

Just a dreary morning here in San Diego. Not learning much Spanish but much about Sushi/Nigiri tommorrow is a trip to the Desert so that may be interesting.

$20.00 on EBAY? Think we could sell it through DCL? With all the Disney Fans out there.....20 times X = hmmm...My vote for the profits would be another ship. We all have top deck rooms with big verandah's, butler service and anything else we need. The programmers can make the ship go wherever we wanted to go. Sounds like a plan...I have a box of starter CDs.

Ok so its a dream, is this wht Disney is about?

that's not a programmer. My parents are going with DH and me. My mother works in Accounts Receivable for a Television station and my step-father is a Facilities Engineer for Aviation Authority.
