Goose, I'm near Raleigh (center of the state), but have been down to Jacksonville (NC and FL for that matter) a few times.

Well, I'm going to try something here (that test earlier was successfull). I hope I didn't screw the code up too bad - if so, I'll just try again. If you don't see anything in the box, check to make sure JavaScript (Active Scripting for you Internet Explorer folks) is turned on.

The hardest part about developing the following was accounting for the time-zone changes since it is keyed to whoever's clock is viewing it. That way everyone's time remaining should be the same (no matter your time zone).

Also, if you actually calculate it out, you may see (depending on where you live) that it is coming up an hour short - that's because it should account for daylight savings time and in the spring we move forward, so we lose an hour (ah, that's where it went! )

Another extremely aggravating problem to overcome was the way this board formats the code. I had a problem with it replacing one of the characters in my code, so if you look at the source it seems redundent, but it's just to get around the problem of the board substituting the '{' character with '&#123'.

Anyway, if it works, enjoy - if not, I'll get it working. Ok, enough rambling, here it is...

I think I was too excited in getting the Counter to work that I forgot to proof the rest of the text when I previewed it.

I guess I'll just have to post it every now and then.

I updated the code a bit so that it's more portable and fixed a problem with more than one counter being on a page at the same time. You just have to edit the cruiseDate variable at the top to change it for another cruise.

**Note that you have to make sure to enclose the script in the

...

blocks.

The only problem that may still exist with the code is that if you have more than one of these on a page, only the last one will update - my preview one worked on the same page as the last post, so maybe this won't occur. Not sure if this can be fixed (if it needs to be), but I'll work on it.

Ok, ok, enough with the tech stuff already! It's 2:30AM and time for bed!

That is so cool and much better than the old ones. And the counter works while you look at it, man that is great......It sure beats counting the Green bouncy guy...the pink (purple) one is not working? At least I can't see it....

We are going to do KW and GC on our own, unless we can find a Buffet Bus for the Parrot heads? Will do some more research on this so I wont be wasting away.... Still can't wait to get home for the Playa threads and questions from the other place.

Ok, does anyone have an "in" at DCL? I am going to try to do the Palos ressies myself. I will try special services again to find out Theme and Formal/Semi nights. Reconfirm you schedules. I think we will try for either sea day at 12:30 which would be Monday or Thursday? I will post the names and numbers I have when I get back to my worksheet. Hi guys! I just got back from a trip to St. Augustine FL. Man, I could live there!! It was gorgeous!

Whoever asked about the Rookie, they had a sneak preview at our base last Sunday. It was really good! The kind of family movie that you can take everyone too. It was about 2 hours, which was a little long for our DD (10), but the whole family loved it. Enjoy!

OBTW, we just got our official excursion package yesterday here in Maryland, so it's definitely not geographic!

My task for next week is to finalize the excursions. We've been talking, but haven't written anything in concrete!

Ok, let's see if I got this working. I added it to my signature at the bottom of my posts.

I think I've solved the problem with only one being updated and I also fixed a bug Netscape was having parsing the date. And a message is displayed when the counter reaches 0!

Also, I fixed another bug so that there can be more than multiple versions of the counter on the same page, but with different dates.

Anyway, happy counting!!!
