Cmatt, there is a man made beach within walking distance to pier that belongs to Hotel LaCeiba. You can use their pool and beach for $6 and they give you a $6 credit for their restaurant, so really its FREE. There is supposedly an airplane in the water you can actually swim out to and check out, but they do say it is a swim out, but people do it. Anyway if you send me your e mail address I'll send you the post.

Joe, what do you mean you're going to bed, It's an hour earlier in Texas. UH OH Is it the age thing. I don't want to go there as I think we are about the same ages, But I just had to. Sorry.

i think i going to charter new territory, yes sir i'am going on the east side of coz. all the beach i want all to myself, because no one wants it, they cant even keep a struture up on it!!

But do you want to know whats so great about it,, no hidden charges- yalp thats right we dont have this plan and that plan the basic plan and the feista plan and the super xtra ordinary get your mullet plan,, guess i have lived new near Branson to long to see do we cheatem and how,, i just want to go to the beach not become a charter club member for less than 24 hours
thinking about staying on the boat the whole cruise???

Still here, but just to check posts and mail, no surfing time. One hour difference but getting up at 230AM to get on first plane out of Philly to SA makes for a long day. Also the Margaritas help .

Here is the latest from the bone shuttle folks should you want to go to the beach.

Yes, we do stop at two beaches. Higgs Beach is next to the Casa Marina. It is a nice family beach, with playground across the street. We also stop at Smather's beach, the largest and most popular beach on the island. It is across the street from the Sheraton Suites hotel.

On the pesos, a credit card would be best, let your bank get you the best conversion rate. Save some moola for the beach bus!

Well let me tell you i took everyone advice, esp. the info Mjasp ,, I have been doing R&D all nite,,

let me start with the best first
Coz Chhankanaab Nat PARK,, GOOD DEAL 10.00 PP LOTS TO DO AND A bEACH cab from 8.00 to 12.00
snorkel rental 5.00 umbrellas furnished $ 60.00 for a family of 4 not 200.00 just to go to the beach,, ok then shopping.

GC capt. marv. snorkel boat tour ,, stingray island, coral reef, and some other stop 2 hr. 39.00 pp turtle farm 6.00 pp
beach take mini bus 2.50 pp to holiday inn free adm. use there facilites,, forget the umbrella lots of big shde trees, shopping.

KW get off the boat walk 3 blocks in every direction, get back on the boat, the beaches are awful, drunks and homeless people all over the beaches,, the only thing there must be the sunset, maybe the glass bottom boat, thanks cmatt

Up early here, glad to see that cmatt is is holding up the boards. He must be the one with the new computer? I think the idea of walking 3 blocks is way too much and a moped may be in order? if not then other possibilities take shape.

GC: Ok the closest I find a rental car with late hours is Avis in Playacar? Does anyone have any idea of the distance from ferry on this? Looks pretty close on the map I have, but of course it is not to scale so I have no idea? Still want to doTulum and Xel-Ha without the crowd or expense.

OK So I called DCL today to see which of the 3 piers in COZ we will be docking at. And the answer was... Punta Langosta which she said was North of the Naval Base. She said you can walk to bars, restaurants and duty free. Now we can see what is near that pier. I also asked when formal nights will be and she said "I don't know" I guess it will be the same as the Eastern.

OK guys if this info is wrong REMEMBER Don't shoot the messenger.

I can't wait to retire, change my name and work for Disney part time , while I live in Celebration Florida. It will be a wonderful life.
