Thanks for the welcome. We didn't know about the "arrive early and stay overnight" until finding out about these boards so we won't be coming until that morning. I can't say enough good things about them -- really helpful! DD will be looking for all the boys on board, so watch your sons! She'll be just three, so am not sure that she'll be spending much time in the children's program, but DH and I are sure going to try!

Hi Folks

Does everyone know how to view the Private Messages function of the Board?

Go to the very bottom of the "The DIS Discussion Forums" page. You can click on the link at the top of this page. After the page opens, all the way at the bottom is a section with your name and it tells you how many private messages are in you folder. If you click on the words "Private Messages" it will take you to the messages in you folder. Pretty neat eh?

And I thought I would get to 400 first?

Good job on the excursions Jennifer. Looks good to me, if we had not been there (stingray) we would go.

Hi Folks

Welcome aboard!

We are all regular folks here, kind of laid back waiting to cruise....
I for one don't know anyone on this cruise, but I am looking forward to meeting all those who have posted here. We are not planning anything special except maybe a Palos brunch (DIScrusinmommie), sail away party deck ten opposite and overlooking the band on deck 9, and maybe a wine tasting party on our own somewhere on the ship at some time??? To be determined....

If you have time go back and read all the posts to this thread and you will find out something about us???? Never mind this may not be a good thing...oh well do it if ya want?

Up to 91 folks so far....includes adults and children. I have included our group in the kids column

If you have the room numbers that will help as well. This will only be sent to those folks posting here on this thread....more to come on this later. Do you know where you will be staying prior to the cruise? Some are at the Radison at the Port ($64.00 room rate).

Welcome new 5/11'ers!! And Katmom, I have a ds who turns 3 on the day we board, so we can set him up with your dd and then we're made in the shade! (At least we can hope they're going to stay in the club.) I also have a dd who is 5 1/2.

No cruise excursion brochure out here in so. CA. My TA told me yesterday that he had received the Eastern one just a week or so back.

Think we'll be doing alot of the excursions on our own (vs. through Disney)

Welcome Cotomom, Katmom and UMFanatic. DH and I have 2 DD ages 6 and 10 who will be with us.

Well I finally got my excursion pack today, here in NY. Now tonight I think I'll actually go over it for real. Hmmmm, co worker just got back from Mexico on honeymoon, loved Xcarret, any comments or suggestions? So much to do, so little time.

Do they have cabs in Grand Cayman by the ships, that you can take to 7 mile beach? If so, does anyone know how much? and are there cabs there to take you back when you are ready to leave?

Joe, How is the list coming? Is that 91 with our 3 new posters? WOW We have to add more, come on, anyone else out there? lets try for 1 percent of ships total passengers.

Hey UM...I live in Orlando too (Apopka actually...GO APOPKA LITTLE LEAGUE).

Where you located at. We should drive to port together.lol. My husband says we have to drive my brand new Honda Odyssey to the Port and leave it at the parking lot alone for 7 days. I am telling him no way Jose. I tell him we have to take his teeny Mitsubishi Eclipse. He says our luggage won't fit in it. This sux.

Still no cruise docs. I can't believe I could've walked to Disney by now and gotten them. I'm jealous.

Any insight in those docs about what theme night is which? This is stuff that is really important to know. When are we organizing the Palo brunch? Should probably getting the ball rolling on this stuff to set it in stone. Only 52 days left till we set sail...

I have not posted anything in months. I have been keeping an eye on the thread though, and glad to see that everyone is as excited as we are.

I have been very busy working my full time job and a part time job at the Disney Store for fun! I just love Disney and working on making my husband a devoted fan!

No, there is no mention of anything ship related. It is just purely shore excursions. Basically everything that was posted by Webmaster Michelle (Bless her for coming through and not keeping us in suspense) They have times of excursions and an order form for ordering the excursions before sailing date.

My brother and sister, MIL and good friend all live in Orlando.

Brother is by Universal, sister and MIL by Seaworld and good friend who is a CM off of Apopka Vineland. By Metro West somewhere

Wish I could talk DH into moving there since most of my family is there. But thats a no go. He'll never leave NY. Of course the above people I mentioned are all ex NYers.

CMatt - Last I heard, we were just looking into Palos brunch but nothing was definite yet.

Discruisnmommy if you want to forward me the info you have gathered so far, I would be happy to look into it for you if you are too busy, or bummed about not being able to go. Just let me know.

I have spoken with friends that have gone on cruises, and unless you are either a. a really confident traveler or b. really familiar with the islands...you are better off going with the professionally run excursions. We are going to be on the islands only a short time and I want to see everything. I am not one for really relaxing on a vacation. More like I want to see the sights.

although on are 2000 land and sea it went so fast i hope this 7 day slows down a little with the 2 days at sea,,
