Darn. Does this mean there won't be spectators for the Half, either?

Racing without people to cheer you on isn't fun.

To be honest I would rather have people cheering between the parks. The parks serve as a good distraction all by themselves and it is between the parks that I would need the adrenaline boost.

I went to Disney's site to see the park hours. The race starts at 10 and goes from WWoS to AK, then DHS, then Epcot. It looks like AK has EEMH until 8 so the park will be closed, DHS is opened until 7 so that park will be closed, but Epcot will have people at the World Showcase who are waiting for the post race party (the park will be closed to other guests). Also, if you aren't at the front of the pack the people who already finished will be there.

I did send a reply asking if there would be people allowed into any parks for the half to cheer but I suspect it will be only cast members.

I agree. I think if there was nothing but cheering people in the parks I would focus more on them then the fact that I'm running through a park or just trying to enjoy the moment.

For the cost of this race there should be someone following me with my own personal lantern

I was just curious i know in other races there are characters out in certain areas...people cheering usually guilts me into running and not stopping!!

Does anyone know how much the one-day discounted theme park tickets are? I'm waiting to register with a friend so I'm not able to access the web site information. I e-mailed Disney Endurance and they referred me to the site.

For some reason they're having technical difficulties with their website right now as I tried to check for you. I remember when I checked a couple of months ago that the lowest day ticket you could get was either 2 or 3 days (I can't remember which but I'm pretty sure it's 2). Maybe that's changed?

I do know that 4 days with Park Hopper option is $199...

Do you plan on going to Disney again in the future? If so I would think about getting a longer parkhopper with a no expiration option and save the remaining days for future trips. I am only doing one day for the W&D and am using a voucher but in January, for the full, I will be going to the parks 3 days but buying a 10 day park hopper with the option. It ends up being less per day, I know I'll use the other 7 days in the future, and the price of tickets only goes up, not down.

Just something to think about.
