or do you think I should stick with poly concierge?

we have been waffling back and forth....

Hey fellow jerseyan!

As far as the concierge and the ammenities I think they are both great, you cant go wrong with either in terms of offerings and service. I would just go with the resort you think you would enjoy more, if you already did the Poly try CR. We have done both and I prefer the CR, not for anything specific besides the location, we spend a lot of time in the MK and it is SOOOOOO nice being able to walk in or out of the park and be back in your room in minutes. I was able to run back from inside the park because I forgot something. I also enjoy the views more from the CR, concierge floor with a MK view is perfect for me.

I have to second Minky in very thing that was stated... there is no way you can go wrong with either and even though I am a major fan of the Polynesian Concierge I had no problem trying out the Contemporary and once we did... I have suggested the resort to others.. and Minky is right about the view if you get MK side.. WOW.. what a view!!!

We stayed Poly concierge last year. We absolutely loved it. Our family would never hesitate to stay there again. However, for our upcoming trip in October, we are staying CR concierge. I expect to love it just as much. We are going to CR just for a change and to try new things.

I just want to interject a thought. While I agree I love both resorts be careful when you book concierge at CR. The Tower Club or the 12th fl is concierge light and nothing like the Poly. Full concierge is the 14th floor. We love both resorts and plan on staying at the Poly in may and CR in Dec. I also wanted to point out there is a thread about this same subject but I don't know how to list it here. You can do a search at the top of this page and search this forum for some good insight.

Twinglemum was right on with her advice. I've stayed at the polynesian CL twice, and CR 14th floor. While I very much enjoyed the 14th floor, I have no desire tos tay on the 12th floor. In that case I'd much rather stay at the Polynesian.

With kids the PR is going to be the best resort for a pool as well IMHO.

We had a MK view at both resorts, and I will say that the Lagoon view from the Hawaii building is much better than the sideways MK view from the CR IMHO.

Hi, we spent a week at the CR 14th floor, full concierge, last Sept. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very large and bright. The decore is not the same as the rest of the resort. The rooms are done in light beigh-y colors. The bathroom, too, is very large. You have your toilet & sink/mirror/plugs in 1 room. The other has the tub/shower/sink mirror.

I can't tell you how incredible the VIEW is from up there. You see everywhere! We requested, and received, a lake view. Then we'd go to the concierge lounge to see the MK & watch the fireworks. I can't even tell you how *nice* it is to stroll down 5 minutes before the fireworks begins, grab some coffee, dessert, or maybe something "adult" ;) , sit on the balcony and watch the show. The soundtrack is piped right in. No fighting crowds.

The concierge workers are so nice too. They always greeted us by name. When I had a request, they couldn't be more helpful. The food was really good. There are lots of choices and we never saw anything run out.

I can't comment on the Poly, as I've never stayed there.

We did love the CR and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! :cloud9:

You have to ask. You can't book the 14th floor on the Disney site, only by calling. The 14th floor is more expensive than the 12th.

welll, after much thought,,, I did CR concierge for one nite and the other 2 nites CR tower room...thought we needed to try it once...concierge is very, very expensive but felt the need to try it once...and well at least we are in the tower for the remaining 2 days..

and then we transfer to BWV for 4 nites..

so I feel we have the best of both worlds

only 3 months away...and starting to get excitied......

You have to be very specific when making reservations.

I had a CM tell me that I couldn't request the 14th floor and be guaranteed to get it. He said, "what's on the 14th floor that's so special?" All of the CMs aren't familiar with all of the different levels of lodging. I had to educate him gently. :goodvibes
