In your experience...time from airport to park

My schedule/plan:

Flight is scheduled to land at 10:51am.

We plan to take ME to POR, where we plan to check in and grab a quick lunch at the food court.

At what time do you think we would make it to MK by? I am trying to figure out the likelihood of making our first FP window...

I would assume around 2:00p, plus whatever time it takes you to eat.

I would say an hour and a half. Two hours if you are stopping to eat.

We landed at 9:30am. Took ME to Yacht Club, checked in and left our carryons with Bell services, and hopped a bus to MK. We were at MK guest relations (outside the turnstiles) at 12:10ish. No stops other than checkin at YC. We were at BOG for a lunch fp+ by 12:30. This was Nov. 2014.

I would say an hour and a half. Two hours if you are stopping to eat.

While possible, I think everything has to be running very smoothly to achieve these times. To be safe and not sweat FPs, I would budget another hour.

We originally didn't plan to go to a park on arrival day, but we wound up getting another day added to our hoppers, so figured might as well! Because of our original plans, we have dinner planned at CM at 5:10, and my girls will be exhausted after that. So if we miss that first FP time, we might have to just wait in line. It's just a Tinkerbell M&G, so I don't think the wait is usually more than 30 or so mins? Guess I will just have to see what happens, since I don't have enough time to switch around my FP.

ME may have to stop at OKW, SSR, and POFQ before it gets to POR.

You can now bypass the Front Desk if you complete your online check-in. POR will text your room number to you so state that you'll be arriving at 11:00am and you'll have your check-in completed and your tickets activated well before you arrive.

If you haven't received a text with your room number, stash your carry-ons at the Bell Desk and you can go to lunch. FPs with a window of 2:00-3:00 should work.***ETA: your FP time should be fine.

Side question... If I have a fast pass for BTMRR from 6:25-7:25 we want to ride closer to the end time frame so 7:15ish. What time should we plan to leave AKL to get there in time?

Assuming using a Disney bus, I would arrive at the AKL bus stop around 6:00p to allow a little slack.

Thanks. Yes taking Disney transport. I was thinking 6:15 so I'm glad I was sort of close. Will plan to add that extra 15 in.

An hour is a pretty standard recommendation around here for taking a bus from resort to park. That'd probably work too, but since you're aiming for the end of your window I wanted to be on the safe side.

I find it take approx 1.5 hrs from landing to check in
Then you have prob 45 mins to hit the room and catch bus to park.

We land around 10 this next trip
Our plan is to eat at resort around noon and hit the park after that. I'll be trying for fp+ around 1:30 or later

What is really throwing me off is grabbing lunch first. We are traveling with my parents so we absolutely have to stop for lunch, and I feel like I have no idea how long that will take at the resort! I want to just grab anything and eat quickly

In our experiences... Our flight has landed at 9:30am and we were checking in at 11-11:30am. These were all staying at Riverside or French Quarter and all of these times our DME bus dropped off at Old Key West first, then Saratoga Springs, POFQ and Riverside was last. I know things change but all 6 times I have stayed at Port Orleans, the DME bus situation/dropoff was the same. So landing at 10:50, depending on how busy you could get to the resort by 12:30 maybe 1pm the latest. Will you be retrieving your luggage at baggage claim? We always bypass that so that also saves us time. With a quick lunch you could make it to MK before 2. Last year we stayed at FQ and checked in by 11:15am, had a quick lunch at the foodcourt and we were at Epcot by 12:30. You may be pushing 2pm like someone else mentioned.

We are also bypassing the luggage. So it will just be a rush to ME so we can hopefully be on our way! I just hope there isn't a huge wait for ME to leave the airport.

That's actually a good idea, kinda early for my trip this time around though.
It did get me thinking more though on my plan and I think well I check in ill send everyone to peppers to save so e time
