"In the way guy" at Disney World

This started on Reddit so I just have to wonder if anyone else is a Redditor? :) stuff like this is why I am terribly addicted to that site!

When I saw this I wasn't thinking of the guy walking in front of the proposal. I was thinking of the better places to do the proposal.

So - I thought near Cinderella Wishing Well would be good. Or back near Cinderella Fountain.
I also like the booking CP early for breakfast and doing the proposal on the empty walkway.

And being someone who likes Haunted Mansion - how about in front of the Haunted Mansion with the Mansion and the Haunted Carriage in the back ground?

ME TOO! Here is where my brother proposed:

And here is right after:

Nice and private but still with the castle in the background!

I don't think he saw the photographer. Yes, he saw the proposal, but where he "crosses" only matters because of the photographer. I wonder if he got separated from his party (they went one way around the proposal, he went the other).

As far as "public proposals", I proposed to my now DW in front of the castle (really in front of the castle, not in the street). It's because she's a Disney nut and I wanted to make the proposal extra special to HER. We didn't have photographers or even any family members (we left them at DHS).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is a fan of the castle proposal! That's where my DH proposed (right past the first hub first thing in the AM). He didn't do it because he likes attention (he HATES it), he did it because he knows the castle is my very favorite thing about Disney World and not once have I ever gone to MK and not taken a picture in front of it...even if they are basically all the same picture. Calling someone an attention ***** for that is pretty harsh.

Also, if they had a photopass person taking pictures they are bound to have one without the guy. We have about 25 just from those few seconds of "will you marry me?" "OMG YES!" Because the photopass person was just clicking away.

That is funny - if that were me I would track down "in the way guy" and invite him to the wedding. Make sure we got him in some professional photos too, lol. Then when the baby is born, he could be there in front of the baby in a couple of shots. Could be a life-long bond.:rotfl2:

This is exactly what I was thinking too! One of my DS found a picture of the proposal without the man--probably on Reddit. When he wakes up, I'll ask him where he saw it and try to post it. I recall seeing lots of people in the background who had stopped to watch.

I'm sure I've been that guy once or twice. Pretty funny expression there.

I have a rule - not busy, I'll apologise for getting in the way and zip away from the camera to an empty spot. (I'm quite oblivious/clumsy sometimes.)

In this case though... the crowd is too thick for my taste. He's got a few seconds to get that photo and then I'm ploughing straight through, cute scene or not.

Still a funny meme though.

the girl in the orange is like "It figures...another Princess getting her Prince. Whatever:rolleyes2" :rotfl2:
