"In the way guy" at Disney World

I don't think he saw the photographer. Yes, he saw the proposal, but where he "crosses" only matters because of the photographer. I wonder if he got separated from his party (they went one way around the proposal, he went the other).

As far as "public proposals", I proposed to my now DW in front of the castle (really in front of the castle, not in the street). It's because she's a Disney nut and I wanted to make the proposal extra special to HER. We didn't have photographers or even any family members (we left them at DHS).

Have you guys seen this?

A wedding proposal at the castle in Disney World gets ruined by "in the way guy".

Then, through various memes, he shows up EVERYWHERE!! :rotfl2:

Actually, I like the girl in the orange. Looks a lot like a McKayla meme in the picture! :lmao:

That groom should have come to the DIS for proposal recommendations! That is a terrible spot/time to do it, lol.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was funny in a light hearted way. I used to love the ones with the gymnast after the olympics as well. I'm sure within the next day or 2 they will show up on the today show and laugh about it, and then their 15 minutes of fame will be over. No biggie.

Omg. The unamused gymnast ones were hilarious.

I'm a fan of overly attached girlfriend.

All I'm saying is I would be mortified if I was 'that guy' and I had to go on the Today show and say sorry to these people for 'ruining' the picture/proposal.

The reality is they were more in the way than he was. They stopped and decided to have their own little public display right in the middle of a crowded Main St. What did they think was going to happen?

I'm guessing you don't HAVE to go on the Today show. :rotfl2: But for a free trip to NY? I might be able to suffer. "I saw the proposal, didn't see the photographer, I was trying to get back to my family, sorry."

Seriously? It's not like the entire country is hating on you because you cut in front of a photo. It's funny, because it happens to everyone. The couple isn't upset - they didn't even notice until they got home.

Saw this on the Today Show and KNEW it'd be on the DIS. Laughed my A off!! :rotfl2:

Love the original photo and the photoshopped ones. If I were that bride (which I wouldn't be, because I 1) hate public proposals, and 2) hate when people clog up a busy walkway taking pictures), I'd be having a good laugh, putting that picture in my photo album and showing everyone the funny thing that happened during our proposal.

Unless that groom dropped to his knee and jumped back up immediately, there were other photo ops in the seconds before and after this one.

I don't think that guy knew he was walking between photographer and couple. It looks to me like he realized it when he was already partially across.

Too funny. He deserved it. Rarely do you get revenge on a photo bomber.

The guy looks like Eugene Levy...just a bit.

This is one of those moments where you (as the couple) figure it'll make for great stories to tell your kids and grandkids. I hope they weren't mad about it. I also imagine the PP guy got a bunch of rapid fire pics so there is probably a good one in there somewhere.

Honestly, I HATE walking the mine-field of Main Street, trying desperately not to wander into a PP or anyone else's photo. We try to stick to the sidewalk, cause the street is hogged up by picture takers.

I'm sure ALL of us who have ever been to Disney are prominently featured, quite oblivious, in some strangers photo.

That is funny - if that were me I would track down "in the way guy" and invite him to the wedding. Make sure we got him in some professional photos too, lol. Then when the baby is born, he could be there in front of the baby in a couple of shots. Could be a life-long bond.:rotfl2:

I think that would be awesome! :rotfl:

Oh that's funny. :rotfl2: That photo bomber as been immortalized via meme, his legacy will live on!

Honestly, if the groom knew ANYTHING he'd have gotten up bright and early his 180th day, gotten the very first available reservations at CP, then he could have had a picture with virtually no one else around. See what happens with you do Disney without the Dis!

That is what I was thinking as well.

When I saw this I wasn't thinking of the guy walking in front of the proposal. I was thinking of the better places to do the proposal.

So - I thought near Cinderella Wishing Well would be good. Or back near Cinderella Fountain.
I also like the booking CP early for breakfast and doing the proposal on the empty walkway.

And being someone who likes Haunted Mansion - how about in front of the Haunted Mansion with the Mansion and the Haunted Carriage in the back ground?

I love the photo shopped pictures, too funny. I just don't get the need for a public proposal or the need to turn every life event into a photo-op.
