Waiting for lady gaga to come on stage. Lots of girls here not wearing pants really. I'm also shocked by the amount of younger children here.

Phew! Finally a chance to sit down. I was just going, going, going all day today.

I LOVE IT!!!! :woohoo::rotfl::lmao:

What fun.

I am so showing up one day. So sighing. I love me a boat. Wow. You all must have been speechless. That's so lovely.

Seriously, ANY time. Open invitation. I know you are one to just hop in the car, so just do so! It's only what? 7 hours? Not sure.

And just so you all don't think I am totally off the wall--we sold the "big boat" this past spring. (The ocean boat that we could all sleep on, etc.). So I just used the money from the sale of that boat to buy this boat, so it isn't as extravagant as it seems. We are boat people--always have a boat. Most of our hobbies revolve around water.

Erika- that is totally the one I'm doing! I came home from my half and registered! Um you'll have to forgive me that I'm already super excited you'll be there! We'll definitely exchange numbers. What will you be doing there?

Oh and while I'm thinking about it, has anyone ever ordered photos from ASI? I never get any but the ones from my race are actually pretty good. I'm just tryig to justify the price to myself.

AWESOME! I am so psyched! I think I will just be handing out water bottles at the finish or something. So it should be easy for us to connect. Are you coming up alone? Other plans for the day? We could totally go to the pool club for lunch and cocktails or whatever. FUN!

And YES, I got a picture from ASI from my first Half and I am really glad I spent the money. I didn't get one from my second, but only because they didn't come out well. And I am still planning on getting one from the Princess, but haven't done so yet.

um. yeah. It does belong in that file  Sadly, I'm sure that by *kids* they are referring to offspring who are under 12 or some other lame constraint like that. Because if MY kids could sail for free, I'd be all over that like, well, you know ;)

Actually, Nancy, it is for kids 17 and under. So you could totally get Nate and Becca for free. OMG, we should do the cruise together! SO MUCH FUN. Because Jeff needs a heavy dose of Stephen! :rotfl2: Maybe some of that mellow will rub off on him!

I'm annoyed now too. I would have LOVED it if you had met us at the Princess :lovestruc <sigh>

WORD!

Seriously? They didn't come with it? :confused3 Because that would have been a deal breaker for me

:rotfl2:

I have pictures from all my *big* races. So worth it, IMO.

WORD.

Waiting for lady gaga to come on stage. Lots of girls here not wearing pants really. I'm also shocked by the amount of younger children here.

My kids are younger and definitely love Lady GaGa. But I would never let them go to her concert--way too young. I would let Riley go to some concerts--he is totally into music (Liz's kid, really) and is 11 so is getting close to that age. BUT it would not be one of her shows. We would choose carefully, kwim?

ok. Cruise info to be checked out pronto.

Lady Gaga- well, hope you have fun Meg. My daughter completely dispises her.

Calling all Goddess Vacation Planners!!

I was just given a gift of possible 4 free airline tickets to anywhere in the US.
(i will know for sure if they are mine at the end of the month)

So I was thinking to come to FL for 2 nights to Sea World in September
2nd weekend. I am on a MAJOR budget.

Any suggestions????

I'll take all the help I can get. again MAJOR BUDGET.

I think measurement/scale/measurement/scale will be fine. I pray. :goodvibes

Paula - I wanted to say this to you. I am not a bike fanatic or a competitive cyclist like you. However, one year I was biking on this trail from one town to another in the Eastern Townships and I will never forget a certain day. I guess they are about 20 minutes apart by car. So I don't know what that is? Maybe near 15/20 miles?????

Anyway time after time it was okay. Get on my bike and voila. And one day I just couldn't pedal. Literally in the middle of the way back everry single rotation was agony and so forced. I had nothing in me. Total brick wall. I'll never forget it. Same distance. Same trail. No problems before. And one day nada. So you know it is nothing, right? Oncoming sickness or lack of food fuel. I know you know. I just wanted to share that. I know you know it was something outside of your capabilities.

Lisa - thanks for sharing this. I am convinced I was over tired and under fueled. So going to work on that for this week's ride. I have 35 miles to do on Saturday. Oy!

Heading to bed, but have read it all from Lady Gaga, to boats, to cruises and even Kat's abduction and replacement. You all have been busy.

Ciao'

Nancy--go right through Dreams Unlimited. They are the best with this type of thing. www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com

I did take a look at it. The biggest problem we would have is the length of the trip. Our kids April vacation is the week of the cruise, but with a 10 night cruise that sails on a Sunday from the west coast, they would miss at least 3 days of school the next week, possibly 4. We have found it way too difficult for the kids to make up the school work when they miss that many days in high school. While it looks like an awesome deal, I just don't think it's right for us. boo. :sad2:

That's a lotta miles! Weather is supposed to be nice still though, yes? I don't think the icky heat and humidity are due to return until Sunday.

I was thinking about you and your bike shorts yesterday when we were out - which in turn made me think about Erika and her saddle soreness issues. Erika - have you checked your seat adjustment? If it's not pitched properly for you it could be super uncomfortable. My other question is, do you have a gender specific seat? One of my friends was having a lot of discomfort, so she ended up getting a new seat. Things are much better now.

Having a bit of a "mental moment" this morning. I'm just feeling a tad overwhelmed with my to-do list, so I'm skipping the gym this morning in favor of a gardening and mulch moving session instead.

Sneaking in before I get in trouble, lol. Add me as a Dreams fan. Love their customer service! I hope everybody is having a great Friday!

Nancy, hey gardening can be a work out to!

I did my Jillian DVD this morning.!! Wow that DVD kicks my butt every time

The ladies here at work say that I should use the tickets to go to Vegas just me and DH. We have never been. But I just don't know.

free air for my kids to go on a plane?? I just dont know.

Paula, I have 10 miles starting at 6:30AM. We can think of the other and that we have legs (Hi Lisa!), and we will get through it. :goodvibes

I was so tired last night I went to bed at 10:30AM and slept through until 9 this morning. Ahh.

Nancy, sorry the cruise didn't work out.

Jo, I have no advice, really. Do all 4 tix have to be used at once?

I am hoping for early dismissal today....

yes 4 tickets to use at the same time

I found a double tree by sea world that give police discount $149 for two night.

I just dont know about the sea world/waterpark tickets.

E, EE, I know one of you can help me.
I am lost. What is the best and cheapest way to get from the airport to Sea World??

Or should I just forget it?? STRESSED!!!!!!!:scared1:

Jo--does it have to be for only 2 days? I mean, are you stuck with not having enough vacations days or something?

If it was me, I would take the family down to FL and do a RELAXED trip. Do one or two days at most in parks (Sea World or Disney parks) and one or two down days just hanging at the resort and walking around DTD and all of that. We LOVE just "being" there. Sure, we love the parks, but we also really love resort days. And you still KNOW that you are at Disney, kwim?

OMG, Jo! The Sheraton Vistana Villages (which are GORGEOUS) have 2-br condos (HUGE!!!) for get this $199 for THREE nights! OMG, seriously this place is the nicest off-site property in the entire area. Go through Theresa at Dreams and/or listen to the June 23 podcast. And one or two park days and do the other 2 days at the resort. Perfect get-away. And you'll have a full kitchen, which can save you tons on food.

um, yeah they're awesome. We own there!

Honestly, for a family of 4 the best way to get to SW is to rent a car. All of the town car services are going to be at least $60 (one way, so double that for RT). And for $120 you can easily rent a car for the week-end. Likely for something like $80 if you use the codes from Mary's site.

AirFare = Free
Sheraton Vistana = $199
Rental Car = $80
Food = this can be LOW since you'll have a car and a kitchen--just spend what you spend on groceries at home

So you are at about $300 right now without any tickets. When you say a strict budget, I'm not sure how tight you are talking, but I think you can do a really nice 4-day get-away for $500-$600 depending on how much you want to eat out and how many days you want to be in a park.

FYI--Sea World always has major discounts, so never pay full price there. Again, if you contact Theresa at DUL, tell her you want to stay at the Vistana Villages and that you want to do SW and she will get you the absolute best prices. Then at least you'll have a ball park.

If the numbers you get from Theresa work, then go to Mary's site and start working on the car situation.

WOW E, thanks for all the info.

I have 2 Vacation day's left.
I can strech this out to 3 night 4 days if we go over Alexa's bday, because I was taking that day off anyway so that would give me Wed-Saturday
I would love to do hotel, tickets and car for under $500.00 we did not plan to have a vacation like this.

I don't want to do disney, because we will got back to do the full disney in fall 2012 when Alaina is 5.

OK, just to recap. I can not find a website for Theresa at Dreams
how do I book it with them? and you said to book tickets with them also?
Rental car I am seeing quote of about 150ish. I love the idea of a kitchen so we just eat out once a day.

Thank you for all your help... THANK YOU SO SO VERY MUCH

I found the ad for the hotel on dream
but what is Mary's website?
I don't know what this is.

I know you are about ready to laugh at me, I'm clueless
go ahead and laugh!
