E, nice boat!!

Okay, I am sure you all heard the crack. Although, it isn't really because of me, but because of a small calico alarm clock that meows, and an husband who a) doesn't follow instructions (see small calico alarm clock), and b) snores.

I tried to go back to sleep between 6 and 6:30, gave up, and am making coffee before heading out for my 3-4 miles. I am going to give my nhood a try again, now that I have GPS and can track the mileage, etc.

It's been so weird here. Near ninety and humid as hell and then TODAY like fall or something. So strange.

Kat, you must feel so different running with your weight way down, eh?

It has been unseasonably warm here... it's usually in the upper 80s/low 90s this time of year, but not hitting 99+ regularly like it has been the last few weeks.

Not really, not yet anyhow. Maybe I need to lose more? I am only down about 10-12 lbs from the Princess. The main difference I note is less pain, but that could be getting used to it and/or better, newer shoes?

Only 71, 84% humidity. Let's see how this goes...

Kat - 10/12 down from the Princess is awesome! I am still up from then. About a week after the Princess I hit my lowest weight to date. STILL pissed at myself for not keeping it!

Off for a run now (the kids have tennis, so I drop them at the courts and then go for a run from there). GORGEOUS here today. 70* with a light breeze. Perfect time to run!

Morning All.

Lisa/Kat Wow, that sucks with your heat.
We have been in the low 80's. But Sunday they said back to the 90's

E, thats a nice gift!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy, Meg, Paula, Kelly, Ronda, EE, Cathie
I hope you all have a great Thursday. Almost time for the 3 day weekend!!

I weighed in at 182 this AM. That's over 35 lbs lost on the year now, and probably 11 down from the beginning of the Princess weekend, 13 down from the end. :)

72 and humid here (90% humidity). I decided against my neighborhood and drove the 10 min to the American Tobacco Trail. I did pretty well I guess, but it felt hard.

Running geeking out follows, please skip if you want:

I just looked at my RunKeeper data (LOVE that app), and my first mile was an 11:17 mile! Elevation went from 336 to 371 and back down (it was an out and back) so maybe that's why it seemed so hard... total time was 35:46 for 3.03, not including warm-up/cool-down as I tracked them separately.

However, I was finishing up my cool down walk, and saw stairs. I channelled E and did 2 sets on them. :goodvibes

Jo - our heat and humidity went. It's been downright unseasonably mild. It's coming back tomorrow or Saturday though.

Kelly! The lovely queen brought such cool temperatures. She looks the same to me year after year.

Kat! Fantastic.

Thursday. Waist. The same. Happy.

I think measurement/scale/measurement/scale will be fine. I pray. :goodvibes

Paula - I wanted to say this to you. I am not a bike fanatic or a competitive cyclist like you. However, one year I was biking on this trail from one town to another in the Eastern Townships and I will never forget a certain day. I guess they are about 20 minutes apart by car. So I don't know what that is? Maybe near 15/20 miles?????

Anyway time after time it was okay. Get on my bike and voila. And one day I just couldn't pedal. Literally in the middle of the way back everry single rotation was agony and so forced. I had nothing in me. Total brick wall. I'll never forget it. Same distance. Same trail. No problems before. And one day nada. So you know it is nothing, right? Oncoming sickness or lack of food fuel. I know you know. I just wanted to share that. I know you know it was something outside of your capabilities.

I'm here. Haven't caught up but just wanted to pop in. Just booked HDDR with my wonderful TA.

Been a busy week and it's been a horrible week at work. Monday I ahd a date, Tuesday I saw the midnight showing of Eclipse, Wednesday I lifted and did Zumba(first exercise night since my half) and tonight I'm seeing Lady Gaga. (so not my usual concert scene)

When I get more then a moment to post I have lots to respond to but for now...

Erika- that is totally the one I'm doing! I came home from my half and registered! Um you'll have to forgive me that I'm already super excited you'll be there! We'll definitely exchange numbers. What will you be doing there?

Oh and while I'm thinking about it, has anyone ever ordered photos from ASI? I never get any but the ones from my race are actually pretty good. I'm just tryig to justify the price to myself.

so. I started this post at 7:30 this morning. It is now 2:45 in the afternoon. <sigh> Busy much? :confused3

OMG. Did I not TELL you about the file I started headed, "THE THINGS ERIKA NEED NOT SHARE". :lmao::rotfl::lmao:;)

Since we already have a 4-night cruise booked in FL for December, I am currently pricing out the 7-night with the kids going free. I am willing to be that with that deal, we can do a 7-night Mexican cruise for the same price as the 4-night Bahamian one. So that would put us back in Cali soon! :goodvibes This should probably go on that file you mentioned, eh? :rotfl2:

um. yeah. It does belong in that file  Sadly, I'm sure that by *kids* they are referring to offspring who are under 12 or some other lame constraint like that. Because if MY kids could sail for free, I'd be all over that like, well, you know ;)

I don't like showing the bat wings but I don't care when it's already 80 at 6:30AM.

My kids call 'em BINGO wings. You know, like when the old lady yells "BINGO" and flaps her arms in the air? I got me some nice kids.

Okay, finished another phase of testing. Yes, I think we can come to the conclusion that I was VERY stupid to put off life (as in coming early to see you all run in Florida) thinking they were going to go faster than they have.

I'm annoyed now too. I would have LOVED it if you had met us at the Princess :lovestruc <sigh>

Glad to hear that they found you to be of sound mind! I can't help but wonder though, with all this time it's taking for testing what does it mean for the health of the potential recipient?

Bikini-clad b*tches not included.

Seriously? They didn't come with it? :confused3 Because that would have been a deal breaker for me

However, I was finishing up my cool down walk, and saw stairs. I channelled E and did 2 sets on them. :goodvibes

ok. It's official. You are NOT Kat. Who are you and what have you done with our friend? I'll offer up E's boat as a reward for information leading to her safe return. :rotfl2:

Awesome job on the weight loss whoever you are ;)

Thursday. Waist. The same. Happy.

:goodvibes I'm happy 'cause you're happy. And you checked in. I was thinking I might need to ask. I shoulda known better!

I'm here. Haven't caught up but just wanted to pop in. Just booked HDDR with my wonderful TA.

whoo hoo for hoop de doo! :woohoo:

Oh and while I'm thinking about it, has anyone ever ordered photos from ASI? I never get any but the ones from my race are actually pretty good. I'm just tryig to justify the price to myself.

I have pictures from all my *big* races. So worth it, IMO.

Kelly! The lovely queen brought such cool temperatures. She looks the same to me year after year.

She never seems to age does she!
Ok Lisa, its Thursday. Part one of Grey's finale. 44 minutes and counting till it starts!

Heres where you all get to laugh at clumsy me! The side stepper. With bungee cords. Yes. I fell off it.
Ive taken it back to the shop (I was angry with it) and exchanged it for a lateral thigh trainer. Same sort of thing but the foot pedals are much wider and sturdier :rotfl2:

Kelly, I had a lateral thigh trainer. It's pretty good, but I actually sold it recently as it was just gathering dust in the garage.

I have found that home-based exercise for me = fail... I just sit down and look at it or watch the DVD. :)

Haha!! Thanks.

Oh, and I just caught the boat reference. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Actually, I think part of it is just being totally on and being characteristically Type A about it. I was correct in that I need an actual physical goal like the Aug RnR to keep me honest.

I am also starting to like the changes I see in my body. Maybe because it's the 2nd time, or maybe because this time has been coupled with intense new-to-me exercise?

'scuse me whilst I wipe the cottage cheese and pita chips off my chubby fingers. Yes. Eating again. Eating by the clock today, so although I didn't quite feel *ready* for my snack, it was time. Hopefully this will help stave off the munchies when I'm making dinner a little later.

Ive taken it back to the shop (I was angry with it) and exchanged it for a lateral thigh trainer

Well. THAT should teach it a lesson :lmao: Relieved that you weren't injured in the process!

I have found that home-based exercise for me = fail... I just sit down and look at it or watch the DVD. :)

me too. Remember my hip-hop dvd? It's collecting dust somewhere right about now.

I was correct in that I need an actual physical goal like the Aug RnR to keep me honest.

Me TOO! Well, the whole "goal" part, not the Aug RnR ;) I'm currently floundering here. No goal. No objective. Just drifting thru life <sigh>

And getting sidetracked. I can't tell you how many times today I've sat down to do the tiniest amount of paperwork and gotten myself lost in a world of something other than my to-do list :headache: I think because what I have to do is so easy peasy and will only take a whole 5 minutes that I keep delaying it for something else more exciting. Time to git 'er done.

Sorry Kelly, but I did laugh with you a little. Glad the store took it back!
And I was the one who said is sounded cool.

Nancy, Well did you do it yet. Come On, get that paperwork done.:lmao:

And for being "lost" with eating, you are not alone.
I am not eating alot, but I am not eating what I should. I read what Kat eats, and I wish I could do that.

Summer is going by so quick, I need to get it in gear and find a race before summer is over and there is nothing.

EE, yay for HDDR. I have never been but I have heard good things. I guess I will have to wait for your TR and pics.

LISA :sad1: Oh my days. I don't know if I can handle next weeks episode of Grey's. I did NOT see any of that coming.

Kelly, I had a lateral thigh trainer. It's pretty good, but I actually sold it recently as it was just gathering dust in the garage.

I have found that home-based exercise for me = fail... I just sit down and look at it or watch the DVD. :)

Home based exercise works for me as long as its something I can do whilst watching TV! I would prefer to go to they gym, but the one I used to go to got taken over by new management and now no-one can get on the machines unless they look like they are in training for Mr Bodybuilding UK! :rotfl2:

Well. THAT should teach it a lesson :lmao: Relieved that you weren't injured in the process!

Oh yeah, I really showed it who was boss! :lmao:
Not injured just injured pride - DH predicted this and I insisted that I would be fine but I got distracted...!

Sorry Kelly, but I did laugh with you a little. Glad the store took it back!
And I was the one who said is sounded cool.

:rotfl2: It was good while it lasted! They were pretty good in the shop, they have a 60-day exchange if you aren't happy with the machine! I was not happy. :lmao:

I think Im going to like the lateral thigh trainer (I know, I know, you've heard it before!) but it feels much safer and when Im on it I can really feel it working my thighs, bummocks and waist :thumbsup2
