Goofy, as far as the trip goes... As I am sure you know, DVC points are cheaper Sun-Thurs. Not sure what your trip dates are or whether you have a weekend stay.
I would say either 2 studios or the dedicated 2 bed are the way to go. The nice thing about the 2 bed is the full kitchen and the living room area which can give you a nice place to unwind when needed, plus everyone would have a bed.
If I had a choice between 2 studios at SSR or OKW, or 2 mod rooms at roughly the same price, I would probably take the 2 studios. The rooms are bigger and you have a balcony which adds even more living space.
SSR is a very nice resort, nicer than OKW in my opinion, and feels way more "deluxe" than any of the moderates w/ respect to the landscaping, amenities, walkway to DTD, etc. However, a studio at SSR is a bed and a pullout couch. OKW has the 2 queens in the studio. Couch has pros and cons... nice to have a sitting area, but either you or sis gets the pullout.
Of the DVCs, though, I would hands down pick BWV, BCV, or VWL if you can get them. BWV and BCV have the walkway to Epcot, and VWL has the boat to MK, and I think all three have a better ambience than SSR or OKW. I wouldn't think WL is worth the cash upgrade but it might be worth the point upgrade.
Mods are also nice but the two doubles are a minus for us (being rather pooh-sized). If I had to choose between POR and POFQ I would definitely take POFQ. I have stayed in both and I really like the small size of POFQ.
However, if I had to choose my fav mod it would definitely be Coronado Springs. It has a very adult feel and a great food court if you are on the
DDP (not good if it is out of pocket though, a bit pricey). It can be a big spread out resort, but if you request buildings 1-3 or 8-9, you are close to the main building. 8-9 are between main building and pool.
Not sure if any of that helped... fwiw I am DVC and stay in moderates on weekends to save points.
