In search of my body...not the one I ate!

Munky - I know about the fast food. I stepped on the scales for "ships and giggles" and it aint good. (3DK - I know your gasping in horror) I've got to get to running. 3DK is my hero with all that *gagging* running.

HKat - yea for posting your calorie count. I missed that.

I dunno what it is... maybe staying home today but usually I'm not one to jump off the wagon... I won't say fell because I knew what I was doing... I jumped head first into it... Oh well... As Scarlett O'Hara says, "Tomorrow is another day":goodvibes

You stepped on the scale for NO REASON?!?! :scared1:
As in...for FUN???

Are you insane, woman?! :rotfl2:

HK--sounds like you had a great food day! A few more like that and you'll be back to where you were pre-trip!:goodvibes

Now I have to get ready to run...getting there is the battle. Once at the gym, I am fine...but all the thinking about going....ugh!

Hello, my friends!

Thank you all for the well-wishes - I am finally starting to feel human again. Not completely well, but human. :cool1:

Yesterday I had to skip my WW meeting (daughter's preschool class trip) but I did weigh in! Ready for it? 4.2 down! Which means that I am...under 200! 199.6!

I went to see Wicked last night with my best friend (she of the January Disney trip). We have waited for months to get tickets - literally like 9 months and we finally went! It was awesome. We ate at an old favorite, a BBQ place called Virgil's (on 44th in Times Square). I did eat some hushpuppies, but not the whole plate - and only half a catfish sandwich! Granted, they were huge sandwiches, but I did stop myself!

SeptGirl - when do you leave on the girls valentine trip to Vegas?

Aren't you sweet to remember that? We leave next Thursday. Valentine's Day. Isn't that romantic?;) Hey, my husband is totally off the hook now!

I weigh in the day before and ladies and Dan, let me tell you - I am only 2.6 lbs away from my pre-daughter weight! Yes, 3.5 years later I will have lost all the baby weight!

Have a good day, everyone!

Goofy, as far as the trip goes... As I am sure you know, DVC points are cheaper Sun-Thurs. Not sure what your trip dates are or whether you have a weekend stay.

I would say either 2 studios or the dedicated 2 bed are the way to go. The nice thing about the 2 bed is the full kitchen and the living room area which can give you a nice place to unwind when needed, plus everyone would have a bed.

If I had a choice between 2 studios at SSR or OKW, or 2 mod rooms at roughly the same price, I would probably take the 2 studios. The rooms are bigger and you have a balcony which adds even more living space.

SSR is a very nice resort, nicer than OKW in my opinion, and feels way more "deluxe" than any of the moderates w/ respect to the landscaping, amenities, walkway to DTD, etc. However, a studio at SSR is a bed and a pullout couch. OKW has the 2 queens in the studio. Couch has pros and cons... nice to have a sitting area, but either you or sis gets the pullout.

Of the DVCs, though, I would hands down pick BWV, BCV, or VWL if you can get them. BWV and BCV have the walkway to Epcot, and VWL has the boat to MK, and I think all three have a better ambience than SSR or OKW. I wouldn't think WL is worth the cash upgrade but it might be worth the point upgrade.

Mods are also nice but the two doubles are a minus for us (being rather pooh-sized). If I had to choose between POR and POFQ I would definitely take POFQ. I have stayed in both and I really like the small size of POFQ.

However, if I had to choose my fav mod it would definitely be Coronado Springs. It has a very adult feel and a great food court if you are on the DDP (not good if it is out of pocket though, a bit pricey). It can be a big spread out resort, but if you request buildings 1-3 or 8-9, you are close to the main building. 8-9 are between main building and pool.

Not sure if any of that helped... fwiw I am DVC and stay in moderates on weekends to save points.

Thanks for the info...

Our trip does include a weekend stay, but I talked to the family and none of them are interested in resort hopping, so we will be at the villas for the entire week. I am trying not to be too difficult with special requests, changes, etc. with my friend as I don't want to ruin the friendship. She is looking into a 2 bedroom, but I haven't heard yet if one was available. Besides, it would have to be a dedicated two bedroom to solve the bed issue. I keep reading that most of SSR's 2 bedrooms are the lockoff type.

I am trying not to stress about this since we are staying at a deluxe type villa for what it would have cost us to go to the moderates so that is a savings right there. Plus, the pool areas at SSR look pretty cool so hopefully, it will be warm enough while we are there for us to use them...

Thanks again for the info... I'll keep everyone posted on the plans as they develop... I am also planning on taking another photo of me on the bench with my buddy Goofy to see the changes in my body between now and then...

Welcome to ONEderland! What a wonderful accomplishment! Way to go!

It is crazy here at work today. Missing laptops and ipods....it is ugly around here. I will check in later when my phone stops ringing...:scared:

Good Morning/Afternoon Ladies!

Well I stayed home again... Up wayyyyy too late doing laundry. I weighed myself today (because I truly am a masochist) and I didn't gain or loose weight. Hey after what I ate yesterday thats good enough for me... I gotta kick it up tho. My goal for this month was 10 lbs and I haven't lost 1... LOL!!! Oh well... Anywho... I hope everyone is having a magical and great day!

Funny, I actually booked a studio for one night, last Sept, on cash at SSR (AP rate of $149!) and wound up upgraded to a dedicated 2-bed. If you are interested, you can see pics here:

I would definitely stick with SSR studios if it is the same price as the mods. The main pool is nice, and, every "quiet" pool has a hot tub! We are picky types and were prepared to hate SSR but were very impressed with how well-kept it is.

OKay work is kicking my BUTT again today. Nothing like getting a problem call before you can even leave the house in the morning.

Hello to all :goodvibes I need some help, can anyone explain how to mult quote, put pictures up and change my information. I would like to start chatting with you all, but I am pulling my hair out :scared1: trying to remember what everyone says and who is who... Thanks to whoever comes to my rescue .

This week has been going well so far :cheer2: I have been doing water arobics, went 3 times last week and 4x's this week. I even lost 3 more pounds. :yay: Hopefully, I can keep it up. I was told to not look at my weight loss as 120 more to go, which really gets me down :sad1: but as 12 wonderful pounds off, and only make small goals, like 10 pounds each month. I have always been the type of person who wants my weight to be all off in a few months and when I am down 20 or 30 pounds I get discouraged because of the amount left to lose. I need to be positive and pat myself of the back for the work I have done.

Noboby can say losing weight is easy :scared: Both your body and mind get a workout and it's rough..

I have looked into the running program eveyone seems to be talking about and I am trying a new twist with it in the water. I told Dawn this afternoon, I even broke out into a sweat. NOW that's pretty good for being in the water :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful rest of the day. Jodi

Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

From one friend to another.....:grouphug:
Let's all get healthy together! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Jodi, 12 lbs is great!! Think of it this way... if you lose 10 lbs a month, in 10 months you will be down 100 lbs!

Multi quote is the middle button on the bottom right of each post., just to the right of the "Quote" button. If you click it, it will turn red and you will see a "-" appear. Just do that to each post that you want to quote, and when you are done, hit the "Post Reply" button as always. All of your quotes will show up in your edit box.

You can change your signature and profile by clicking on the "Quick Links" in the menu bar, and when the drop down appears, clicking on edit signature or edit profile.

For pictures:
1) You need to find a hosting site like photobucket.comand create an account. They will tell you how to put pictures up.
2) Once you have done that, copy the link to the picture that you want to post from the Address Bar in your Internet Explorer.
3) Then go to the page that you are using to add a new post. You will see a little button, the 2nd from the right, that looks like it has a little mountain on it. If you hover the mouse over it, it should read "Insert Image". Click on that, paste the link that you copied above, and click okay. It should then be in your post.

Hope that helps! (... can you tell I am a geek?? )

Sure is!! I love that picture.

Someday I will hunt up a few more so you can actually see my face...

JODI--TWELVE pounds is PHENOMENAL! You go, girl! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Definitely...think about this in 10-pounds chunks and it will be much easier. And make a list of rewards you will give yourself for each 10-pound loss. A manicure or pedicure, a facial, a new bathing suit for all of those water aerobics classes you are taking...just make sure it is something for YOU (not something for the house and not something you need)...something that will make you feel better about yourself!

I certainly wouldn't turn down a free upgrade.... My parents' anniversary is listed on the reservation so keep your fingers crossed... Thanks for the pics... It does look awesome... Now I can't wait to go... too bad it is so far away...

Hope work gets a little easier for you...

I could use a tutorial on this myself... I am somewhat of a message board tools newbie....

YOU GO GIRL!!!!! You are doing awesome.... Focus on ten pounds at a time... That is the size of a small turkey... - Funny story, around Thanksgiving, I had lost about twenty pounds, but it didn't hit me how much that was until I was lifting the 22 pound Thanksgiving turkey out of the oven and my sister asked me if I realized that I lost the equivalient of the turkey from my body... so know I sometimes refer to my lost weight as the turkey or the goose, but I am waiting until I hit my goal before I can saw I lost the cow....

Keep on doing what you are doing... you are changing your lifestyle and that is what is going to keep the weight off after you lost it...

We are all proud of you...
