In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Good Morning People!!!

This morning has been a busy one so far. Had to get the gray hairs covered up so I can maintain the illusion that I am not really 38. :rotfl2: Next I am off to a workout which I am scarily looking forward to. I need to move. This taking time off to rest thing is killing me. I miss my workouts. I haven't walked on the treadmill since Monday. Will do a small walking workout tomorrow in hopes of keeping the hamstring pain at bay. My MfM training starts on Monday so it is now officially "Game ON!" time.

Nancy - strange how Seth's mountain of laundry is a good thing isn't it? Have a great weekend.

Ronda - enjoy the run and your weeend plans. Sounds like a lot of fun! And you are right, crowns are way better than a life.

Erika - love it that you are on! No better inspiration - WORD!

Speaking of crowns, my sister recently gave me a notepad that reads "I'm fairly certain that with a cape and a nice tiara I could save the world." Love that!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Woohoo! Seven miles done! It was great. Foggy and 44 at the beginning. DGF did the first three miles with me. We were on the Katy Trail. Awesome surface - crushed rock, maybe a little crowned, but soft and cushy. Nothing hurts. After the up and down six last week these seven seemed easy. Can't believe that came from me! We even made it back in time for the hotel breakfast.

Sue's brother got in late last night. We'll start meeting up with everyone this afternoon. I hope to see my niece and nephew this afternoon, too.

Ronda

RONDA! Goddess crown for you, totally! Seven miles is AWESOME! Did you do the 10/3?

HEY! I just realized that my entire post from this morning is MIA. W.The H.??? Well, too bad for all of you. I had some great stuff to say, but I don't remember it all now. Son if a (bleep)

Way to rock the run Ronda! :woohoo: Have fun this afternoon!

Whew! Busy weekend for everyone.

Nancy! What, is Seth more of a priority than us? pirate:

My girls have been gone for BOTH weekend nights. I know!!!!

Ok, off to look thru my recipes for this week.

Just a super quick pop in to wish AMY good race vibes! Rock the Half, Baby!

Like Lyz, I am going through recipes today, making my shopping list, etc. Already this morning, I pulled all of the Christmas decorations out of the eaves, ready to go for Friday!

RED ALERT!

Kelly now wants a Zhu Zhu for Christmas. Crap! If you find one for Lyz, I need one, too!

Go Amy!!

Nancy, hope you had a great time! :goodvibes

This appears to be not my week... hot tub just blew a seal and emptied itself, and in the process likely fried a bunch of the electronics. Sigh.

And the worst of it is, bad things come in threes. Hard drive dies, hot tub fries, and what is the third going to be?

Happy Monday everyone!

Yes - we had a great weekend. It's been so nice having Seth home. He's headed to visit his gf's family in Pa, so we won't see him now until Thanksgiving - which is just as well, since today is the beginning of.....

HELL WEEK!

Up today: 100 pies. We have a couple of realators who do Thanksgiving pies for all their clients during the year - so these 100 are just for tomorrow....then the *real* fun begins.

I'll be back tonight - exhausted and whiney I'm sure....hope you all have a great day!

Morning all. Excited to be back on this week myself. Headed to the gym today and water aerobics - not sure if I will do 2 or one since I have been MIA for 7 days now...ugh. The doc I met with thinks I need to have some fibroid removed...lucky me but hopefully it well deal with the crud it causes.

Carsyn got her liscense on Friday! :cool1: One more to go in that department!

Treyner's car got fixed for right at $300 - then yesterday - the fixed issue fell apart and his car is sitting in Durango at the shop. I will be dealing via phone with the mechanic today. Hate not being there for this kind of stuff or having someone you trust or have worked with before.

So he is in Albuquerque with his good friend Troy for the whole week now with one other guy from the team. He choose to spend the week with him versus being stuck in Durango with his girlfriend and I think it was a wise choice. Originally he was splitting the time in half when he had a car. He said - "I like Sam(antha) a lot but putting us together for a week staright, knowing I am eaving in 3 weeks and she is not sure if she wants a long distance relationship, is just asking for trouble."

He is growing up! :worship:

Sending down a gift basket of flowers and fruit to Troy's folks since they are housing Treyner.

Baylor sees the burn docs today for a follow up. Hopefully will be good news there and then a party tonight!

Busy day!

Hope you all have a great day and great stress free week. I am learning to dump the things I cannot control and that is what I am Thankful for on a personal level this year!

Love hearing all the positive things this weekend in so many of your lives. :woohoo:

Kat--sorry for the suckfest!

Nancy--OMG, this week! I was thinking of you yesterday as I was doing my menu planning. Hang in there! I can't even imagine how you begin to make 100 pies in a day.

I had a great week-end. Lots of fun and family time. And--this is huge for me especially over a week-end-- I tracked every. single. thing. I stayed well within my ranges and ran each day as well. Today is a rest day, which is good since my shin (the one that had the stress fracture that sidelined me for 2 months) is twinging again.

Since I know most of you hate Mondays, I will provide you with the horror that is my life so you can have some comic relief. Jeff and I were totally, um, busted having an "adult moment" last night by Kelly. Jeff locked the door, but the lock sometimes sticks and thus doesn't work. So she barged right in demanding to know "What is that noise?!?!" After moving faster than the speed of light, I asked what noise. And then she completely and exactly duplicated what she heard and then added "And I also heard the bed moving." So again I asked, well "what does the bed moving sound like?" She mimicked it perfectly again. CRAP.

Quick-thinking mom that I am came up with "Daddy and I were watching a movie." (Mind you, Daddy is cowering under the covers at the moment pretending to be dead.) My very bright child then states, "But the TV isn't on." To which I respond, "That's because it was a really scary movie and I had to turn it off." For whatever reason, this seemed to satisfy her and she left.

Jeff and I look at each other in utter horror, both instinctively knowing that our moment is LONG over and there is no way in hell either of us is getting it back. He tells me, "get out there and FIX THIS." OMG, HOW? I have *no idea* what to do. So I throw some clothes on and go have a chat with Kelly. I reinforce the movie story. Thankfully, we had actually watched a horror movie the night before that had this squeaking noise in it, so I was able to tell her about that and I even told her that I would show her that part of the movie (this particular part isn't scary, so I am thinking if I can "prove" it to her, we'll be in the clear.) I then change the topic and talk to her for a while just to get it all out of her head.

This morning, I didn't mention it. I wanted to say something like, "You know Kel, you shouldn't tell anyone at school that Mom and Dad were watching a scary movie..." but I couldn't think of any reason as to WHY. And I didn't want to remind her of the entire incident again. Cause you know how kids are, once it is out of their minds, it is usually gone. So I don't want have the entire nightmare resurface. So I didn't say anything. But of course I am freaking out about what she is saying today.

See?? Don't you feel better about your Monday now?

OMG Erika! How horrifying... Hopefully, she sluffs it off as nothing.

Nancy - good luck with the pie baking. I love to bake, but there is no way I could do what you do without hating it.

Dawn - good luck at the gym. Take it easy on yourself and don't rush things.

I enjoyed a quiet day yesterday. Didn't even go to the gym. Jesse worked my legs hard on Saturday and I was in pain so I stretched and rested like a good girl. Heading out for a walk after dinner tonight to get moving again. I don't want to fall too far off the wagon. Nothing much going on here. Just a crapload of work followed by Thanksgiving preparations. Looks like I won't get my day off on Friday after all. Contractors decided to work on Friday and since the other members of my team are travelling, I get the fun job of being here for the day. Good times...

Have a great day everyone. Drink an extra glass of water if you can.

Freaking Hi Lar Ious!!!!! "go fix this" - bwahahaha. I think a new door knob is in order!

Nancy - glad you are having a nice visit. 100 pies, kill me now!

ERIKA!!! OMG!! I would have been FREAKING.

I know it's mean to laugh, but thanks for the Monday morning laugh anyway. :goodvibes

Nancy, good luck with all the pies! I can't imagine.

I think I might go join a different gym at lunch. It's been too difficult for me to make my kickboxing class, as I have a 1PM "management" meeting on Tuesdays and class is from 12-12:45. Apart from the class, I really don't like that gym much... no tvs.

Anytime Fitness is open 24/7, there are two branches close to work and home, and they have tvs on every piece of equipment. I think that might really help for this half training.... something to at least make me forget for a few minutes how much I hate walking/running.

Paula - I only did the regular class. Working my way back for sure slowly and I was exhausted. Thanks for looking out for me and I am glad you are looking out for yourself!

E - that is freakin hilarious! Good luck with that and do you think she will not say anything to the older 2? Mine compare notes on everything!

As Nancy can attest to I am sure - the difficult part is not trying to bamboozle them as kids as much as when they are teens and up and they know. Carsyn is not falling for the movie story no matter what I pull out of my hind end. I cannot get into a romantic stress free mode when I know they are all awake. It's not like at 16 and 13 I can ban them to their rooms at 8:30! Maybe I could try though!:rolleyes1

Last week Baylor had a few friends go to the mall with him when Dan and I went. Dropping off his friend Yardley (her dad is English - thus the name) the house was dark but cars were in the driveway. Yardley's Dad has a new hot girlfriend and Maddie (other friend who was going to spend the night at Yardley's house) says:

"Yardley, call your Dad or Dan can you honk to make sure they know we are here because I really don't want to walk into the sounds of a sexcapade."

I wanted to die!

And Dan honked the rythem of Twinkle Twinkle to make sure they knew we were here. No misstaking a drive by random honk! ;)

All of a sudden the lights flew on and you see shadows running around the upstairs bedroom. :teacher:

All the kids in unison went....

"Ughhh... Grossss..." :lmao:
