In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Lisa--YES, Kelly does love people. Not shy at all. In fact, we always laugh and say "That's Kelly...making friends wherever she goes..." because it is just SO true. Adults, kids, doesn't matter. All of the recreation CMs know her by name here. Earlier this evening, Kathryn (CM) actually called our room to see if Kelly would be coming to watch the dive-in movie at the pool tonight. It was HI LAR IOUS. You'llhear more about her in today;s TR if/when I get that done.

You asked if I was like this as a kid (see, I do pay attention!). Yes and no. I was definitely outgoing and social. But Kelly has a charm that is truly irresistable. I know that I am her mom and as such I am biased, but she really is a unique kid in that way. Seriously, if we lived in California, we would get an agent for her because she just has that *something*--we hear it all the time and we see it ourselves.

Did I miss any of your questions? Oh yes...do they ever fight. Yes, sure they do. But not too much and not too badly. And never on vacation. Vacations are just a huge love-fest for us all. The girls call each other BFF. And they have those little necklaces, each has half and they fit together like puzzle pieces and say "BFF" on them. They are each a year and a half apart. My mom calls them her stepping stones, which is so accurate.

Liz--I still don't see myself in Cammie. I just don't. And Jeff doesn't either, though we hear it from people all the time. Glad you are loving the TR!

Nancy--yes there ARE boy fairies! But the CMs who play Terrence are, well, boy fairies! :rotfl2::lmao:

E - your last line about boy Faries...:lmao:

GOOD MORNING!

Restless sleep last night but good. Ready for water aerobics this morning even though a part of me wants to say NO because I am tired.

I will check back in here later. I watched the women/one man in it yesterday from the treadmill (yes that for me is a huge question - WTH would you put a bank of treadmills looking over a glass wall so the people in the pool feel more concious - I know that many of my girl friends will not go simply for this reason) and most of the women were older and like Kelly said you have people of all ages. I am 100 pounds plus over my goal weight though so I know taking it easy on teh joints a bit is a good thing.

If I stick with it all next week - I plan on seeing if they have water weights for ankles/hand and if not buy some. Of course Target had them clearanced at the end of summer but I have been trying to avoid buying anything with intent to use. Intent means nothing - just like clothes I had boughten with intent to lose.

I also got rid of 2 yard bag of clothes rangingv from size 12- 18 that were too small a last month that were eating my closet space up. They made me feel bad and half were out of style so I donated it all.

That was a huge step in accepting the me I am today. You are talking clothes I have saved since before Baylor and right after and some I bought since saying - someday blah, blah, blah.

Well when I do need new clothes, I deserve something to pick out that is new or at least new to me. If I do it wisely at consignment/thrift stores than I can enjoy a whole new wardrobe every two months.

K - have a good day and I will check in later.

Paula - I hope your mtg goes well and you have a nice weekend leading up to it.

Kat - safe travels and enjoy a deserved break!

Hi everyone!

Its my day off today and I was so ready for it!
Ive cleaned the house and im just relaxing now before I go to donate blood this afternoon, then the gym tonight!

Dawn - I can't believe how much older Baylor looks! The photographs were great and it sounds like you had a wonderful time with Treyner!

Erika - Still loving the TR, I like to enjoy the excitement of other peoples trips!

Have a great day everyone :upsidedow

I saw this a few minutes ago and regardless of faith, this is a great story about the importance of human compassion and making an impact on the world.

Oh! and I saw this and thought of you all. It was on another Dissers siggie (Patsgirl)

Last night my sister and I were sitting in the den and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle to keep me alive. That would be no quality of life at all. If that ever happens, just pull the plug!" So she got up, unplugged the computer, and threw out my wine.

Good morning! Yesterday was an awesome day, and I realize I owe you a TR for it and Wednesday as well. I will likely type them both tonight...from home. SAD! Just finished my run and am now waiting for Jeff to come back from his. We'll hit the pool and DTD for a bit of last-minute shopping before heading to the airport. *sigh* It has be an AWESOME, awesome vacation. Just so you know it was "real" and I am not just blowing smoke--we did have a few ugly hours on Wednesday afternoon, but I will tell you about that in the TR.

Well I am so darn proud of myself I am just beaming!

I sped to water aerobics and knew I would be a few minutes late but did not stop the car and sucked it up - threw on the suit and just had a 60 minute workout like I have not had since Joanie Greggins and leg warmers! :lmao:

This was NOTHING like the farting around Jodi and I called water aerobics we did ourselves and I am hooked. Sweat, hard to breath and it kicked my tukkus.

I used the medium weights (2-5 pound range) in the water. Best guess was 30 minutes solid cardio with running, lunges and also using arms and legs for resistance, then 15 minutes of weights, 10 of core/balance (you put the weights in the water below you and float your body on top without going under plus situps on you back) and then stretching.

On the 2nd they start new programs that will give me more hours in the water.
M 8-9 water aerobics + 9:15-9:45 Salsa Splash (learning salsa dancing in the water)
T - 7:15 - 7:45 Water Boot Camp +8-9 water aerobics then 9:15-9:45 Water X (harder like boot camp but using different tools)

W - 8-9 water aerobics

Th - 7:15 - 7:45 Water Boot Camp +8-9 water aerobics 10 - ? Silver splash that foucuses on balance and core training

Fr -8-9 water aerobics

I also....sit down before you all have a stroke....

Talked to the indtructer and am going to sign up for a 3 session hour long personal training class. :scared1:

The cost the first time is $70 for the three sessions and then if I keep it up - would be $120 for 3 after.

For those with trainers -is that out of line or on target? I am going to do the first three for sure. We spoke and she thought I should try it in Nov. so that I give my body a little time to get used to working out 5 times a week for at least an hour.

She really talked to me about weight and why the water helps push yourself and was honest. She also is a hard @ss and I like that too. Told her about the wedding and she said I can do 100 pounds easy if I take it seriously.

I know that staying for all those classes will not be likely all the time and I know I physically can't work out as hard as I can for 2-3 hours but I am just sitting at home and doing nothing at times and some movement is better than no movement. So I am going to play around and see what I like/can do and work my way up to more.

I also have a polar monitor on my Christmas list now. You can wear it under your suit and it keeps track of your calories burned / heart rate etc.

Okay - blabbering to you guys who probably know most of this but truly one of th best days of my life.

SO out of my comfort zone to be in a suit and infront of people and I just did not care. After 2 minutes I was working so hard on breathing and not drowning that I knew my focus was where it needed to be. :lmao:

Oh - met a woman who was doing this 5 times a week since Feb and she has lost 57 pounds. She said she watches her food pretty closely m-F and does the waterX 5 times a week and has just loved it.

Nancy LMAO!

I just pulled out a mix veggie frozen bag from Trader Joes to have for lunch with my Boca Chx pattie...and guess what it is called?

Organic Foursome

I am not sure if that is legal in 47 states.:lmao::rotfl2:

Dawn that is awesome! :cheer2: almost warrants a banana!

So happy for you. The suit thing is a great milestone. I, too, wonder about the pricing... let's hear it ladies!

DGF and I tried the water classes at our Y last winter. We need to go back. It was a great workout. Great exercise and safe.

Ronda

Dawn - I think the prices sound very reasonable for the trainer. VERY.
The classes sound great - to be honest, that's how I got into exercise. Just booked myself up with as much as I could do. Highlighted lots of things and tried to go to as many classes, until I got a schedule. There was an Excel sheet involved!

Have fun!!!!

Dawn - $40/hour for training is a good deal. Congrats on finding a class and an instructor that you like. It is sooooo important that you have that kind of support and accountability (I think anyways).

Still in work and emotional hell right now. Have to go in tomorrow to catch up on work and then do presentation prep on Sunday. Nice weekend huh... I am reading and promise to catch up in a few days when things calm down... In the meantime, this will be me - :surfweb: followed by :scared1:

OMG. Effed up your quote again Liz!!!!

Amiee - still with us, babe? Swamped?
![/QUOTE]

Been thinking about you Amiee.

Had a great conversation with my buddy from college last night and things are starting to regain their perspective.

:thumbsup2

On the bolded - OMG :rotfl::lmao::rotfl:

And Riley is nine? Totally guessing. :surfweb:

That's so great Dawn. :thumbsup2

Dawn - I think the prices sound very reasonable for the trainer. VERY.
!

Me too.

Me - I'm down .8 for the BL. So that's 70.8. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: Don't mind me - just making ME crack up.

You know I'm starting into mental nonsense again!!!! These pictures are 213-215 I'm ten pounds up from there right now. This is an aside but I can't believe what a difference twenty pounds made. 20 pounds up from this picture when I saw Liz. Huge difference. Anyway, off topic.

Here's the scoop that I never seem to be able to live with. This is 215. So honestly I know - KNOW 100% - that I can never see/don't want to go below 180. I can't see losing any more than 35 pounds from this picture. Not even sure I want that much. And that just makes me sad. Cause 180 isn't on my height chart - 180 doesn't sound like a goal - I don't know.

101_0661.jpg

101_0992.jpg

I guess I'm just once again sad how big boned I am. I know a lot of overweight woman say this. But I am. Narrow but huge bones. I was almost 10 pounds at birth and my mother says the thickness of my shoulders was an issue with the delivery. :lmao::rotfl: I'm laughing. My poor poor tiny mother. I'm her last child - even if she wanted more - I'm sure THAT cured her.

Also, I'm starting - once again - to get jealous of people whose goals are 130 and size four type goals. I know - I know - this is all ridiculous and everyone is different. But regardless it's coming up for me again! And that's frustrating because I thought it was gone.

Okay, I need to get over this. I think that's why I finally claimed my total. I had to have something that I am excited about. Cause I'm not about the goal weight number crap.

Okay done. Thanks for listening.

I have an idea. I know it's absolutely something I have to figure out for myself. And of course I'm overly sensitive.

But I think I'm mentally capable of this. If some or all of you can tell me - truthfully - if you didn't know this was me or know my weight - how much do you think I would have to lose from this picture. Truthfully.

I know - I know. So subjective. But I think I'm strong enough to take the answers. I think. :scared1::rotfl:

I should do this on my BL thread where they have no idea this is 215.

I've got to run.

But one more thing - if you want to give your opinion for me - first thank you but most importantly please for the love of God don't ***** foot around because I'm sensitive.

Ignore that and complete honesty. Thank you.

Yes I realize I'm being slightly patronizing.

That pic, with the skinny jeans and the flowy top? Um, nothing. Ten lbs tops. TOPS. You are so freaking skinny legged in that pic!!!

BTW. Online tonight, if anyone wants to chat.

If I stick with it all next week - I plan on seeing if they have water weights for ankles/hand and if not buy some.

Ummm.....I'm thinking you meant to say "WHEN I stick with it all next week", right? 'Cause I know that's what intended....

Well I am so darn proud of myself I am just beaming!

I am beaming for you as well, Dawn. IMO, the hardest part about exercise is finding something that you like and can stick with. So happy that you found something you like! As for the trainer - that price sounds about right to me. Some will offer package deals, the more sessions you sign up for, the less the "per session" cost can be. But before you do that, I'd try the intro-package and make sure it's what you are looking for.

There was an Excel sheet involved!

:lmao: Why does that not come as a shock! :lmao:

Still in work and emotional hell right now. Have to go in tomorrow to catch up on work and then do presentation prep on Sunday. Nice weekend huh...

Sorry for the sucky weekend outlook, Paula. :grouphug:

OMG. Effed up your quote again Liz!!!!

 That's becoming a habit, my friend!

Love, love, love the red jacket picture. That is one of my all time fav's of you. And honestly? You really want me to tell me how much weight you need to lose? (God, I hate this game!) I'd say you've got a little extra, but not alot. maybe 15 - 20 lbs tops? So hard to tell from a picture. I think you look fab as is! Not fat, not crazy skinny - just healthy.

You know, I hate that I answered that question! I may not like this choice tomorrow, but I'm not going to edit it out.

You.look.fabulous. Period, end of discussion. Look at your face. You look HAPPY. That's what it's all about. Happy with who you are, where you're at. It's so not about the number (I know. Preaching to the choir :rolleyes1). It's not. It's the "how do I feel". Well, Lisa, your expression tells me that you feel awesome right there. THAT'S where you should be.

Hey all. Spent the last two days cleaning a jobsite with my blessed sister who said "sure" when I asked for help!!!!! Exhaused. It's hard to work all day when your only used to "pretend work"! For reals.

I've read thru.

Dawn - awesomeness on the swim class. Who knew it'd be so much of a workout?!?!?! Oh, and I TOTALLY get wanting to be a certain size before your wedding. It's like the biggest thing going and if you can't get it under control for that, then what will you for? I TOTALLY get it.

EriKa - thoroughly enjoying your tr. Hope you made it home safely.

Much love and good thoughts to all of you!

Paula - shoot me an email if you need to unload some emotions. K!!!

Lisa. My lovely lovely Lisa. Lisa with the awesome red coat and spends 23 hours a day inside her head. I will tell you what I think. You look great at 215. Gosh that sounds like such a high number. How tall are you again? I agree, no need to lose more than 15 lbs, and going under 180 would be sickly. I don't like the sickly skinny look. Even if I could figure out how to lose weight again, I'd keep my curves. But, if you get to 180 and think you need to lose more, I reserve the right to reconsider. xxoo.

Hi...home in Maine. UGH! Going up to the lake house tomorrow, so have to unpack and repack and get some work done. Plus the last 2 days of my TR. Lots, lots, lots to say.

LISA--I love both of those pics of you. FAB. And like Nancy said, I love the red coat pic not just because you look SO good in it, but because the red coat is so YOU. And you were so excited to buy it! It just makes me think of Happy Lisa.

On the total loss needed based on that picture, but you asked for honesty and I will honor your question, though I hate this question, too (because it IS so subjective), and the reality is that you don't NEED to lose any weight based on this pic. Holy great legs! You are doing your dad proud in that pictures! :rotfl2: But you asked for honesty, so I will answer. I would say maybe 15-ish pounds. Realize, though, that it is hard for me to estimate since I am the opposite of you and naturally short and small (other than my shoulders, but we all know that is a topic for another day ;), so on me 15 pounds is a HUGE difference. I don't think you need a huge difference. Also, I would never in a million years guess that you are 215 in that pic. I would guess something like 170. So there you go.

Ok, back to work for me. SO much to get caught up on. We have to winterize the lake house this week-end, have my FILs 80th birthday, a soccer tournament, and then get Jeff ready to head back to Asia. He leaves on Weds.
