In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Sam then proceeds to punch Baylor in the side of his head/ear area 3-4 times.

Baylor sitting in his desk did not get a chance to defend himself or swing back. Teacher in the room jumps up and has to pull Sam off Baylor.

Oh Dawn  Thats terrible!

Let's see if I've got it right:

Lisa V and I are emotional - yes, Lisa, I'm with you on this! Emotions, emotions!

Kat and Cathie are on vacay. Ronda is back to work, Erika is running around as per usual :goodvibes. Steph is MIA. STEPH! Amiee is getting ready to tell us about the nuns, Amy is working 3rd shift. Paula is kicking a$$. Nancy is getting slammed during busy season. Kelly is trying not to get injured. Oh, and Kelly - you DO look thin!
There's some newbies I liked but whose names I can't remember - sorry, I suck.

Lyz, you're good, right? :rotfl: You have good things going on - tell us.

I love your recap Liz! And, I love you!

OMG, sitting here with ice packs on BOTH shins. The pain!!! Seriously, worst shin splints I have ever had. And I thought I was done! A week and a half and they are back. WTH?!?!

HELP!

 That sounds painful, although call me stupid but im not really sure what shin splints are?

Im not feeling any better today, I actually came home from work which I NEVER do - I think the last time I was off sick was when I was in the hospital 5 years ago! Im just trying to drink plenty of water and hope it passes.

Hope everyone is having a great day :upsidedow

Glad Baylor only has bumps and bruises.
Me too.
So let me get this straight...you now have two separate legal issues with two different boys (or parents) in Baylor's class??? I think I would get my number changed if I were you. Or maybe just relocate. :scared1:

Technically you are dead on. From what I understand - school is the one charging Sam - I have not talked to anyone at all and charges have been filed.

The ironic part is that this class Baylor was in - had 6 kids total in it. Baylor was the only one in it this year not for behavioral issues.

I told the counselor that protecting Baylor's leg also meant protecting his face.

I mean there are probably fights in schools everyday around this country. I just am not happy that my son got socked by a kid they knew was trouble when he is just in this "Gateway" program for a medical issue.

If I could move I would. Issues like the accident that burned him is a fluke and fights are going to happen in any school. I just hate living in MN. Too cold and no ocean!

Sorry E. When I "happen" to get on the treadmill, I do the walk around before and after on my heels like you told me. Preventative, I hope!

Kelly - shin splints hurt like a mother. It's a pain right in the front of your calf. (Your lower leg.) Like running up and down right behind the bone and you can't get away from the pain. No turning your foot this way or that for relief, it's just a ache. I've been told it's where the muscle is tearing away from the bone. Not sure if that's true, but makes sense.

Molli has a sinus infection. Z-pac. Good. No swine flu, lol. School is over the top worried about this thing. Like, if you have a sick kid, they DON'T want you to send said kid, period. Fine by me.

Hey everybody! I edited my piece about the nuns. After I grab a bite to eat and some pain reliever, I will talk about the architecture.

I ran my slow three miles this morning. The days are getting shorter. I'm running in the dark now. I run along an old trolley trail converted to recreational use. It's gravel and a great running surface. I catch an occasional pebble in my shoe, but I really like it. There's a good amount of traffic when I'm out there. This is the same trail I bike to work.

Tonight I'm making a reservation at Pop Century for marathon weekend (and some of the following week). DGF went to WDW once with her HS orchestra. I tell her this will be different. The ex and I went two or three times a year. I haven't been in four years. I miss it. DGF doesn't really like theme parks and doesn't ride roller coasters. I've tried to explain that she should at least go through the queues. Wish me luck.

Erika - sorry about the shins. That pain just doesn't quit. Does the all on-line teaching mean spending extended time in the Far East with Jeff?

Aimee - a cliffhanger with nuns! Who saw that coming?

Kelly - get well soon! :flower3:

Dawn - Tell Baylor he's great!

Architecture anyone?

St. Vincent's was created in the French Gothic style - my all time favorite. The stained glass windows were amazing too. The walls were a off white and a beige. When the sun hit the main window, the cathedral was vibrant. Lots of woodwork and clean lines. Some of the pictures are blury, but it was from my phone.

Paula, I thought of you the moment we started walking up to the chapel. I knew it was going to be amazing and completely different from the plain elements that the monks use.

Amiee - it seems odd to me that you are going to Kentucky for all this. When I think Kentucky, I think horses, not nuns and monks and shakers. Weird. Oh, I also think of a lot of derogatory things, but that's how it is between Ohio and Kentucky, lol.

Is it safe to run in the dark? Like are you in a crime area or relatively safe?

Makes it hard when you're not both on the Disney Express.

Half watching BL. Throat is getting scratchy.

Same way with Indiana too. I never knew they were there. I have to admit, I was very giddy when we were driving past some of the farms. I recognized a few from my racing past.

You know me, I love me some architecture!!!! :goodvibes

Amiee - thanks for putting a smile on my face tonight. The church is beautiful! I am always amazed at gothic cathedrals. So much detail, so much work. It is all very inspiring I think.

OMG is there a new BL starting tonight????

Yes. And I just LOVE Abbey. Her story is so.sad. OMG tragic. But her outlook and attitude is amazing.

K - I have got to get me some sleep. I'm a train wreck waiting to happen....

Hey gang -

Didn't want to spoil Amiee's pictures with tales of my foul mood, so I am doing this on a separate post. Had a horrible day at work today. Spent most of it fighting with one of my coworkers over something really stupid. This is the guy that they brought in to help train me for my new role. He is temporary and won't be here for the duration of the project. Basically, it comes down we have different styles of managing a job and we are clashing. We have been pretty successful in keeping this from our client and the contractors, but that is starting to change. I so need to stop that as I don't want to lose any credibility with the contractors and especially the client. Tomorrow, I will talk to him about it and find a resolution that we can both live with. The whole thing makes me upset and to top things off, it somewhat wrecked my workout w/ Jesse tonight. I wasn't on my game and it showed. The workout kind of sucked and I just accepted it. That just irked me more. Ugh...

OK - venting over.

Ronda - the trail sounds fabulous. Please be careful out there.

Dawn - sending hugs to Baylor. That poor kid has been through a lot this year.

Amiee - keep the stories coming and don't be afraid to post pictures of the horse farms if you have them. I am going through a bit of racing withdrawl now that Saratoga is closed for the season.

Amy - saying hi if you get a break from work tonight.

Lyz - Hope Molli if feeling better soon!

Erika - take care of those shin splints. Those (and IT issues) are my worst fear with this marathon training stuff

Liz - Em still like school?

Cathie - how is life in the World?

Kat - so miss you around here. Hope you are enjoying a frosty beverage or two.

Lisa - sending you hugs  Hope you are feeling better...

Nancy - don't forget to come up for air amongst all of that working.

Kelly - how are things across the pond?

I think I caught everyone... I am off to pack my lunch and crawl into bed. Tomorrow is an early day.

g'night...

Aren't you the smart one! Yes, now that I will truly be online full time, we are exploring several opportunities for next year. It is exciting to think about, though we haven't made any decisions yet.

And yes, it is time for Sue to face WDW. For me, this is "the" test for potential partners. If they don't like Disney, well...see ya! :rotfl2: When Jeff and I were dating, I had to drag him there kicking and screaming. Seriously, he wanted to just hang out at the pool (off-site, no less) because as he said, "I don't care at all about stupid Donald Duck!" So I made him come to the park with me for just one day. Actually bought our tickets at the gate. $35 for a one-day pass. (Wow, that makes me feel old, eh? :rotfl:) And then he was b*tching and moaning about that. "OMG, I can't believe I just paid that much money to see a guy in a stupid duck costume..." And then we went to get in line for our first ride. And it was a 45 minute wait (this was pre-fastpasses and it was the week between Christmas and New Years). So then his rant changed to something like, "I can't believe I paid all of this money to stand in lines all day. This is the stupidest thing I have ever done.."

We ride. He laughs--the ENTIRE time. We stumble off the ride and instantly he is "Mr Disney." He whips out his park map and all of a sudden it is, "Ok, we have to head over to this part of the park and do that pirate boat ride thing and then we have to be back here at noon for the parade...can't miss the parade you know..." And the rest, as they say, is history.

OMG yes. LOVE Abbey. And cried every time she was on the screen. I like that Daniel is back because I loved him last season. I think the right person was sent home. Not sure how I feel about Shay yet. On the fence about her. But I have totally renewed my vows to Jillian! I was SO loving how she was not buying the drama. "Of course you have a story. Everyone here has a story. I don't give a f*ck about your story. Stop being a victim and get your f'ing a$$ on the treadmill!"

Paula--

Sorry for the crap fest that is work! Hang in there!

Kat/Cathie--check in when you can.

Woo Hoo 2nd time this week to wake up the thread!

Drumroll please. Ah 1, 2, 3...

Wake up, you sleepy head, get your but right out of bed!

:rotfl:

Is everybody awake now?

Good Morning,

Still in a bit of a foul mood, but it will get better. It is a new day right?

Off to review some estimates. Gotta love it when I can use my red pen to mark things down...
