In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Paula - I can't imagine you doing anything so wild your parents were not ready to hear about.

Tell us more cause I always think of you from birth so organized and careful and grown up! Not a crazy college kid! Maybe cause I know how hard your studies must have been! :worship:

You would be surprised is all I can say. I am by no means the perfect organized soul. I have had my fair share of stupid human tricks along the way. Nothing too crazy where I landed in jail or anything like that, but I had my fair share of drunken college parties, general mischief, going out with the performers who came to campus after the show - you get the idea. Some of which my parents are aware of and some of which they are better off not knowing about (I am the daughter of an italian father after all). Unfortunately, I won't be sharing any of the details here for they could come back to haunt me.

Speaking of which, with the whole social networking craze I am not sure how much today's younger generation realizes how damaging some of that stuff can be to their future. Do they not realize that potential employers will google your name, check facebook, myspace, etc to see what comes up and make their decisions about you accordingly? Got to protect your reputation in all forms is all I can say.

Not much going on here. Workout last night was good although something was a bit off because I was sweating like mad last night. I was dripping while doing my inchworms - yes eww... Not sure what brought that on, but I am still chugging water to hydrate. Oh well...

Hope everyone is having a great day.

E - good news on you MIL. Sounds like she understands that her fear of flying is contagious. Good for all!

Dawn - good that Treyner has your cousin to talk to. Age is close enough to be cool, far enough to be wise.

Paula - I hear you. DGF's nieces put stuff on FB that I wouldn't dream of saying out loud. They fail to understand that there is no delete key. It's cached somewhere forever.

Okay, back to work...

Ronda

E - I went back and read your MIL story again and you are in my prayers this weekend! :littleangel: Your Mom sounds so cool - like being raised by a female Indiana Jones!

I too envision a petite female Indiana Jones woman!

Many of them don't, Paula. It's rather disturbing!

I got rather lucky this morning! I opted to go for a bike ride, even though it was cloudy and a bit ominous. The weather report calls for scattered showers later today, so I figured I was safe. Indeed, I did get my ride in, but we weren't home more than 5 minutes when it downpoured! <phew>

Nope, I am the only shorty in the family. Recessive gene? Not that anyone is really tall, either. My mom is 5'6" though. I have her bone structure for sure. All of my athleticism is from her--we have the same natural jock build. Broad shoulders and upper bodies and muscular legs. We have some facial similarities, but not a ton. I guess you would say that it is obvious we are related, but that's about it. Certainly not clones. I'll find a pic and post it.

As for Indiana Jones...:rotfl2: No, not really. She is way too hippie/earthy/crunchy for that. Where I am aggressive and outgoing and competitive, she is quiet and peaceful and self-assured. On the other side, where I am loyal and resourceful, she is a complete flake. I like to be with a crowd of people and friends and she prefers solitary time. So, we have a lot of similarities and a lot differences.

Here they are. This is actually 4 or so years ago. My mom has since let herself go gray (which I disagree with) and before my dad's debilitating illness.

Paula - you never cease to amaze me - someday you will have to write a book! As far as the FB posts etc. - Treyner has had the lectures and the NCAA actually talked with them as well. He does not drink - "as of yet" are his words exactly but he knows what the ramifications are for stupid posts and pictures that are forever. One of the FB players at a nearby college just got booted after a pic of him snorting coke was posted. I think it hit the point home that i could not have done alone.

In looking at the kids FB pages - it seems to me that girls tend to be the worst of posting self -incriminating pics and info. We like to talk as a whole and girls tend to be more Kathy Kodak's.

Erika - That is an awesome picture. She is stunning and your Father - is so handsome. They look genuinely happy and that you cannot fake! I am so sorry your Dad is goiing through all this and your Mom too.

Hi Everyone!

Ive just got back from the Gym! That is something I thought I'd NEVER say! Whats even more unbeliveable is that I really enjoyed it! :cool1:

What did I do whilst I was there - loads of stuff! The instructor showed me round the machines and explained what would work best for me.

I did the treadmill, cross trainer, adductor, abductor, leg curl, arm curl, leg extender and chest press! Hes set me up a programme to follow using those machines, its great!

Im sure this gym high will wear off eventually but for the minute Im just going with it! :lmao:

Just breezing in to say have a great week-end! If I check in at all over the next few days, it will either be remotely or drunk...or both. :lmao: We have 4 parties and 10 soccer games over the next 3 days! :scared1:

It's raining again (insert Supertramp song here). I think it's the 4th day this week. I'm so sick of it. Channeling Noah, come in Noah.

I hope everybody is hanging in there. Might have to get a bottle of wine.

I agree 100%. Seems that the girls do more stupid things than the guys. The kids are very open and comfortable around me (almost too much sometimes...) so I always tell them, "if you wouldn't say it in front of your grandmother, don't post it." Too many things can come back to bite you in the @ss.

Raining here too. And pass the wine, would ya? I just killed my bottle of red, and might have to hit the bottle of white (ha. Cue Billy Joel! ;))<sigh> my exciting Friday night

Do you like sweet wines? I have a bottle of Moscato di Asti.:lovestruc

Nancy - forgot to tell you... Dad started the next batch of wine and it should be ready by Christmas. 20 gallons of red and 5 gallons of white are doing their thing in the basement as I type this.

Enjoy the wine ladies...

Hello, my dears. Checking in. Tracked all my food today - oooh scary. Must go weigh in tomorrow!

Catching up! More um news today, but rolling with changes.

Two parties down. Two to go and all 10 soccer games still ahead. Drinking, but not a lot. Eating...meh. Not great but I passed on all of the desserts. I have no problem treating myself, but these just weren't worth the splurge. I have plenty of time between all of the games tomorrow, so I am hoping to do 3 separate 3 mile runs. We'll see. Shins seem to be fine when on the TM but still scream on the roads. Tomorrow will have to be road. If I can't run, I'll walk. And be pissed about it.

Liz--let's talk while we run tomorrow, k?

I hate cold weather. Why do I live here.

26 degrees outside and snow on the roof and cars. Dan is heading this way from NE and he says he has less than a mile visability and there is inches of snow everywhere.

I cannot remember it being this cold/snow this soon ever. Last year was early but it started at Halloween. Next year will be Labor Day in Igloos.

Making a nice dinner tonight - Dan's youngest will be here for a week and was hoping for good weather for the apple orchard and pumkin patch and taking some hikes. Maybe we will be ice fishing instead! They are predicting more snow - Nancy I can't imagine this is good for the produce at the orchards.
