In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

My goals a bit wishy washy I suppose, but I can give them to ya anyway :)

Drink my daily requirement of water (48 oz)
Track food/points daily
Do some sort of physical activity 3 times a week or more.

My legs are slim up to my knee, after that it all goes pear shaped - literally! :lmao:

Mine are not too bad until you get to just above the hip, where I turn into a balloon. So, I wear short skirts and scoop-neck blousy tops, in the hopes that people will look at my legs and not the pumpkin parts...

As to not trusting these crazy Americans, may I remind you that WDW is here?

Welcome, Stephanie. You are so pretty! I think we can all relate to your struggles. I sure can. LOVE that you shared your pics.

Steph! Hey, girl! Missed you! Scary crazy man! Oy. I'd not tell my husband. He'd take care of it too well, if you know what I mean.

WORD on Lisa V's post to EE. WORD. Put your own mask on first, babycakes. Remember that. It's so hard, I know.

Cathie. Yes, I get this too. You call your therapist, I'll call mine. Or, take comfort in the fact that I, too, love sitting in my couch and not doing all the hard work this good stuff takes. :goodvibes

Lisa V. thanks for getting it. Kat, you are right. Deal on the Sept trip! :thumbsup2

My goals...track 5/7 Exercise 3/7. Get my head in the game. (Sorry Lyz, I know that's going to make you start singing!)

xoxo Gotta go eat big family breakfast.

Morning!

I need challenge goals. Let's go, team!

I will be around to post challenge stuff, but I may be scarce in between. I'll be reading, just not posting much.

Welcome new friends!

Okay, here's my challenge goals.

1mile walk with the puppy 5/7.
Yogurt breakfast and 2Pb&j lunch with no extra snacks during the work week. There will be one day this won't apply since I'm going out for lunch but other than that I will stick to the scheduled work meals.

I need to check my gym bag for a tee shirt and if I have one I plan on hitting the gym for a little bit this afternoon. Now should I try for a mile on the treadmilll or maybe the bike for 20 min since I walk with the doggie?

I know - think about it Kelly. They refused to pay your simple little taxes - not so politely asked you to get the heck out :rotfl: and then tried to annex little ol' me. :scared1:

Should we really trust them with spelling? :lmao:

:rotfl:

YEAH!! (good one Kat)

Now should I try for a mile on the treadmilll or maybe the bike for 20 min since I walk with the doggie?

Do the bike, that way you won't say, I already did the walk. It's all in the head.

:Do the bike, that way you won't say, I already did the walk. It's all in the head.

I vote for the bike too, but I hate the treadmill so I am a little biased... ;)Maybe focus on minutes pedalling instead of miles because it is a bit different than walking. Bring some good tunes... and the time will fly...

Btw, just want to say: my scale is a mean, lying, sack of crap. :crazy2:

If you want, I can take it behind the barn and shoot it. :goodvibes

Hi guys, hope you still remember me! It's been forever since I've posted anything -- seems like I'm always running around, and last week we were on vacation. A week up in the mountains right on the lake -- absolute heaven!!!

I'm up for a challenge -- I've been back on track with eating this week, but could use a little peer pressure.

goals:
exercise
eat well/snack smart

I'm hoping for a few more pounds, but I don't want to jinx myself -- since I've been sitting in the same spot for at least 2 months now.

Hope you're all enjoying the summer!

Ugh. Pizza party at work today. SOOOOO hard to avoid all the crap!

So, I had a slice of veggie pizza (figured it was better than pepperoni?) and diet coke...only one glass....and no cake. yay. Was proud on that one.

Speaking of cake, I make specialty cakes. I love it. It's fun. Downside, well, someone's got to taste the frosting to make sure it's the right flavor along the way....and I have at least one cake to make in pretty much every month for the rest of this year! Eek! Gotta buy some gum...it helps avoid the tasting along the way and eating cake carving scraps!

If you want, I can take it behind the barn and shoot it. :goodvibes:

That works!! Or something more like this: :badpc:.

Good to see you!!!

Lyz, it's just mean. I don't like the number. Bleah. I feel like I have been trying really hard the last couple of weeks and it is just sitting there, mocking me. Maniacal laughter and everything.

Kat - Scales are evil torture devices... I so vote for taking it out and shooting it!

LisaZ - welcome back... hope you had a great vacation!

Cathie - another baker in the house. Cool..

Quiet afternoon around here. Just catching up on some paperwork (great more crap to file...). It is almost the weekend - yeah!!!!

I am heading out soon and then am off to get my hair cut and then to train. My legs and butt are still a little sore, so this should be fun...

Hey everybody!

I haven't read a lick yet. I'm hoping get back in the swing over the weekend.

My challenge goals:

Lose some (nothing specific)

Water ~ at least 64 oz a day. This time I am allowing my Crystal Light mixed because I just don't drink at work. Completely get lost in my day and forget to drink even a sip.

Exercise ~ 3 times a week 1/2 hour, 2 times for an hour

Eating ~ healthier, watch the bad carbs and fat

Hi all. I have been reading faithfully, but, I think it was Cathie said, I can read more easily at work than I can post.

Goald
exercise 6/7
run faster. I don't know how to quantify this, but I'll know it when I do it :)

DGF and I have been REALLY busy the last few weeks. This has been a much quieter, normal week and we have a weekend with no obligations coming up! The long to-do list is going to get some attention.

Ronda

Hey y'all! I need in for the challenge.

Water 64oz each day
Exercise 3/7
Track 5/7

I went back to WW tonight. Thought I could do it by myself, but need the motivation of the weekly weigh in I guess. Oh! And I got Jennifer to go with me. (She is my 23 year old daughter that needs to loss weight also. ) I am super excited that she is going to try and lose some weight with me.

I know - think about it Kelly. They refused to pay your simple little taxes - not so politely asked you to get the heck out :rotfl: and then tried to annex little ol' me. :scared1:

:lmao: Lisa - that made me laugh right out loud. thx ;)

Speaking of cake, I make specialty cakes. I love it. It's fun. Downside, well, someone's got to taste the frosting to make sure it's the right flavor along the way....

my job? I work at a local apple orchard where I bake in the Farm Store kitchen. Today....carrot cake (w/pecans instead of walnuts) w/ cream cheese frosting, Honey Oatmeal Bread, Chocolate Chip cookies, Supernatural Brownies, Choc Mousse & Ganche (for a wedding cake)....uh....??? I've forgotten what else I did...but you get the point.

I had a very busy day today. Up at 5:30. Had my torture session w/Erin first thing this morning @ work by 9:00, then off to drivers ed w/ Nate where I had to attend the newly mandatory parent/student drug & alcohol class. Home just in time to take Becca to her voice lesson, feed the goats, make dinner (grilled shrimp YUM!) threw the laundry in the dryer, another load in the washer, cleaned up dinner dishes and here we are. 10:00. wheeee.

was that all more than you wanted to know? :rotfl:

Hi LisaZ!!! And Ronda! And Sunny! :goodvibes It's so nice to see all of you!

Erika - core? Did you fit it in earlier today?

Kat - you need to teach that scale who's boss. Try givin' it a good swift kick

Steph - how's Mocha? :dog:

Paula - did you say Birthday cake for Dad? Is that what I read? If so, Happy Birthday to Paula's Dad :thumbsup2

For my goals today:

I did my exercise

I drank my water

I ate pretty well. I'm happy with my choices, all things considered.

Alcohol: well, yes. I did have one drink. But only one. And not a ridiculously huge one - a normal one!

I'll call the day a success overall. :thumbsup2

Ok, looks like most have posted their goals--awesome! I will put the chart together. Of course, if you still want in, just post and I will add you. :)

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday was a win for exercise. I went to the gym at work and rode the bike for 20 min, then took the bad puppy (he used the living room for a bathroom) for a walk after dinner.
Ugh, I'm already breaking one of my goals - we ran out of bread and I didn't have a chance to run to the store so no PB&J, however the caf at work has veggie soup today so I'll get that and a salad and I'll still stay in control.
I'm so glad its Friday, it been a busy week at work. Not that next week will really be any better but at least this one is nearly over.

Have a great day :)
