In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Be proud of your a$$. Remember my haram!

Okay, dolls. Here's the dilly-o. I'm going on vacation on Friday morning. It's like, wake up, have my parents show up, drive Em to last day of theater camp, see performance, get back in car, drive to Myrtle Beach. Yay.

Um, not so much on the yay. I am sooo busy and scheduled, I have no time to post. I am reading, though. I hope to dear God in heaven we have internet access next week. I NEED internet access!

So, love to you all, completely caught up, will reply when I start breathing again!

xoxo!

Oh - did I tell you what Jesse said last week? I was doing leg curls to work but what woman wants to hear wow - your butt got big? He so needs to work on his delivery... Don't worry, I gave him crap for it.

Ummmm - ME!!!!!!:lmao:

HOMG, Paula! What a comment! But you know, that is the exact same thing my physical therapist said (thought not to me quite that directly). She was like, "women athletes need to be PROUD of their butts. You worked hard to get it to be that way..." And I was like, um NO thanks. I would much rather it be petite and small, thank you. :rotfl2:

What is wrong with you two? :rotfl::surfweb:

I would so love that.

You know - words are powerful. When I was about 12/13 one of my totally outgoing friends said, "you know what Lisa - doesn't matter what weight you are - you have a good butt". And I wonder - really - seriously - if I've carried that. Words do matter. They really do - all ways - good and bad. Cause Lord knows I hate things. :rotfl: Like did I mention my legs? ;);););) Like how the genes got effed and how I am the offspring of two people nearing friggin' mid seventies with model friggin' legs. Whatever. :lmao:

Hey Erika!!!! Ms. Legs - watch it with the cutie usage. :lmao:

Have fun Liz! Myrtle Beach is like the eleventh province - Canadatown :lmao: For every person flocking to Florida from here - one pulls into Myrtle Beach.

Did I tell you what I'm so worried about in Collingwood? All the white people. :rotfl:

Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world. Now Liz - let me explain why I think we win that. Canada lets in countries that the US doesn't. That's my guess. Toronto is now over 50% non-white. Brampton the suburb I'm laying my head these day is Gosh - I would honestly guess over 70% non-white. South Asian heaven. Heaven because I love them and even more I love their food. This pink girl is scared of whitetown, don't mind me white people. :lovestruc

Liz--have fun in Myrtle Beach!

did I ever tell you all about how my college BFF and I sold a beanie baby for 800 dollars on ebay and went on spring break there?? Lizzie the tie dyed lizard bought us a sweet spring break!!

my best wedding dress pic..this was 6 years ago and I am about 15 pounds lighter now..

And FYI, my wedding was teeny tiny, by choice. If I had gotten my way, there would have been no wedding at all. Just a ceremony on a beach somewhere tropical and then a big party when we got home.

I'm so you.

You don't watch Grey's, eh? Meredith and Derek could care less. And were in hysterics about the unlimited alcohol in some island package. They're like "great free drinks during the ceremony".

Aaaah. So pretty Amy. So pretty. :lovestruc

And :lmao: on the beanie baby trip. Love it!:rotfl:

Just checked...no wedding pics anywhere on my computer. And I don't see me scanning some any time soon. :lmao: And what about YOURS cutie? ;) I know you didn't have a big ta-doo (SUCH a Lyz word!) but I am sure you still have pics of the day.

WHAT!!!!! What are you doing to increase your butt, you athlete? NO NO NO, that is not what we want. That PT is a wackadoodle!!!

So my wedding pic, maybe I'll scan it. I got married in the courthouse and I was 7 months pregnant. Not exactly ideal, kwim? My hair is big and my husband had a crew cut. I think we look better now, lol. Maybe I won't scan it in. I'll have to think about it.

AMY - Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa - scared of too many whites, that is CLASSIC!

Liz - you must have internet access. I miss you now and your just getting ready to go.

I miss you, too, and I'm not even packed!

Okay. My wedding. It's SO 1999. My 10th anniversary is Aug 21st. Maybe I will scan it in for that.

Good Morning.... Time to rise and shine everyone!

Liz - have a great trip. Safe travels and may there be a high speed internet connection waiting for you in SC.

Am - beautiful picture...

Lisa - you totally crack me up... :rotfl2: Someday I will learn to love my new butt. However, when you are trying to get smaller in general, the last thing you want to hear is wow - your butt got big... It just doesn't go over very well.

Not much going on here. Just work and a restful night at home. Can't wait...

Later...

Morning! Off to take the kids to tennis and then go for a run--only 13 hours after my last work-out! :scared1:

The sun is out and shining and it is supposed to be a great day in the mid-70s! SO happy about that. Track meet this afternoon. At least I will be sitting outside, though I would rather be at the pool.

All this bummocks talk is too much!

Paula - yes. While I *get* what he means, Jesse definitely needs to find a better way to phrase that! and George Clooney? :lovestruc must be a way to photoshop him into a picture

Erika - sun? Really? Thank GOD! Totally overcast here. Hope it doesn't head your way...good luck to the kiddos at the track meet.

Liz - have a GREAT trip. And have fun at Emily's performance. LOVE when little kids do things like that. They are so cute!

LisaV - sorry. Didn't realize you had a copyright on "cutie" :rotfl2: Don't be scared of us white people. We're really just like everyone else ;)

Amy - BEAUTIFUL PICTURE!:lovestruc

Lyz - ok. If I have to show my totally 80's picture you must show yours. OMG we look so YOUNG. and awful  On second thought I may rescind my offer :scared:

Dawn - decisions, decisions. Good luck with that!:upsidedow

Back to work for me. Doing too many un-related things at once. My brain is starting to hurt. :headache:

Becca is once again the publicity guru for our County 4H Fair. Makes *me* the insane administrative assistant. And I'm working on the whole 50th Anniversary dinner for my parents. Just received some menu suggestions from the caterer. OMG they are amazing. Gotta assign more tasks to the siblings now.

Amy, beautiful pic!! Your dress is a lot like mine.

Liz, have a great time in Myrtle. Wave to me as you pass by. :)

Here is my wedding pic, which I think most of you have already seen:
headshot-1.jpg

Amy/Kat - Beautiful pictures! I will post one of mine when I get home from work - I know most will have seen them, but its the only time I was at my target weight, so any excuse to show them :rotfl2:

Dawn - I didn't have any idea of the dress I wanted, except that I knew I didn't want a huge pouffy merengue dress that 'highlighted my problem areas' :rotfl:.
I ended up picking the 2nd dress I tried on - the first dress I tried on was just a 'courtesy try' to satisfy my mums curiosity!
My bridesmaid dresses I had seen online, showed the girls and then ordered them, didn't even look at any others!

Everyone - :wave2:, swamped at work!

Amy - thanks for the info! I did not want a June wedding either but the huge problem is all the kids schedules. Dan's daughters have spring break in April, my kids have it in late March and Treyner has it early March for college. If we try and pull the kids from school it would mean dealing with missing schoolwork for 2 high school kids and 2 middle school kids while we were gone and thus - not very stress free. Treyner missing a week of college would be impossible and he is done with school April 28th next year. The last few weeks of school is too important to miss for reviews for finals etc. Dan's kids end school in the end of May - Carsyn and Baylor in the first part of June. Too much schedule conterversy and one thing I am trying hard to do is learn my limmits of self enduced stress.

The wedding ceremony will be short and sweet and then everyone can have app's and beverages while we take pics. In fact I am planning on serving iced tea and lemonade to the guests as they take their seats so they can be cooled for the 1/2 hour we are up there max and use fans as program's.

I agree the 11:00 a.m. sounds better - and that way they can head back to the airport for an evening flight for those who may not choose to stay. I just wasn't sure that a big dinner was as appropriate for a 1:00 p.m. lunch. Then again - we are not supposed to be eating our biggest meal late at night right?

Vero said that the amount of rain they have had there has been crazy this year. Don't want to risk it with the guaranteed late afternoon rains.

Love the pics Amy and Kat - they make me excited!

Kat - simply stunning...

I love seeing bridal photos and hearing the stories behind finding the dress, etc. Have any of you seen "Say yes to the dress" on TLC? Those dresses are gorgeous but yikes - who has $5000 to spend on a dress you will wear once? I love the stylists' tips though.

Can't wait to see more...

and yes, Lyz - since you started this ball rolling, you are kind of obligated to post a picture... :)
