In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Squats require too much of me moving everything. I want to lay down and exercise my ask. What else ya got?

Well I guess running the stairs in out of the question now, eh? :lmao:

Or inline skating or playing hockey with Kat. Or kickboxing. No, eh? :rotfl:

A bridge. Lying on back - knees 90 degree bend - keeping everything stationary (you like that?) lift tush up and hold and squeeze. Can do variation with the ball as well.

But nothing like squats and lunges cutie.

Yeah, unfortunately, squats and lunges.

Kickboxing is all about the squats and lunges, we do dozens of them in each class. She is a sadist, though.

I guess hockey works it, too. Never really thought of it...

I'll work on getting you an agent whilst I am away! (Hi Kelly!)

May I compliment you on your excellent use of the word 'whilst'! :rotfl:

So, just a quick fly-by for me - Ive just watched the first episode of the two part Grey's Anatomy finale, the last episode is on in 50 minutes. I was doing so well until the last 10 minutes then BAM, it was Gip City!

Oh well, its a good excuse to drink lots of water.....ive got to keep my body full of water so theres plenty to come out of my tear ducts! :lmao:

I have read back, I promise, but theres so much I want to say and ive had no time to say it today - its been crazy busy at work! I didn't get my lunch until 3.45pm :scared1:

Dawn - Have a fun trip!

Paula - You rock on the exercise, and doubly rock on the weight loss. Seriously. Im proud to be on the same thread as you.
In fact, that goes for all of you

Off to get ready for the next sob-fest on Grey's!

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone :upsidedow

Oh Im following on from myself! Weird!

Ive just watched the finale of Grey's Anatomy :sad1::guilty::sad1: I did not see THAT coming :guilty:
Im going to bed now, my head hurts, my eyes hurt and DH is mocking me for crying so much over a tv show!

Ok, 3 posts one after the other is weird, right?

Im still awake, I was just going to bed and I thought I'd quickly catch up on the news and Michael Jackson has died?

Grey's.

Here is what I've been waiting to tell you. The ENTIRE season I've been saying to Jean and mumbling- you know I don't see the love/chemistry between her and Alex. Not to the have to have each other sense. But saying to Jean - I still see it with George. I don't know if they wrote it like that. I guess. But the entire season I was "hmmmm".

And that scene where George told her "Izzy! You know. You know what to do". Loved it.

Yes, it was quite the shock. And tell your hubby I bawled. Just bawled.

On the comedy side I loved - just loved - Meredith and Derek laughing about having a wedding with unlimited drinks and talking about drinking through the ceremony.

Lyz--Lisa was nice in calling that exercise a bridge. It is really pelvic tilts. Or pelvic thrusts. Yeah, like you are humping the air while lying on your back. Don't squats sound better now? :lmao:

You realize that I am just talking about free-standing squats, right?. No weights, no ball, etc. Just stand there and bend your knees while sticking your a$$ out. You are not moving multiple body parts at all here. Literally just beding your knees. Make it feel is though you are going to sit back into a chair. Like Paula said, keep your weight on your heels as you go to "sit."

You can do these anywhere. I always do them at the bus stop. Today I did them while waiting for the kids to get out of tennis lessons. That's right...the courts that are located in the center of town adjacent to the park where every mom in the freaking world is. I'm off in a the corner doing squats and lunges. :scared1:

But I have to say--even though my gut is B.I.G. right now and I am still heavy from the cruise, my legs looks freaking fabulous right now. In fact, I may have to take a picture of just my legs....:rotfl2:

Just do the squats.

Such a lovely thing to wake up to :rotfl2:

Good morning after, everyone! Graduation was wonderful. The weather *finally* cleared yesterday and the ceremony was held outdoors, then we had a housefull of family & friends for a cookout. Lots of fun.

and now- summer vacation begins. :scared:

Just do the squats.

WORD!!!

Lyz - I hated squats when I first started doing them, but I much prefer them to some of the other crap Jesse has me doing with the ball and pelvic lifts and such. Squats really are much easier.

Nancy - so glad that all worked out well yesterday! Spending time with friends and family - what a great way to mark the event.

Jesse was on his hamstring kick again yesterday... ugh... is all I can say to that, but it was all good. Feeling strong and feeling confident right now which is a good thing. I am off to VT for the weekend and won't have internet access so I will check in when I get back. It should be a fun time with the gang from college. Many haven't seen me since this time last year so their reactions to my weight loss should be fun.

I'll try to check in before I head out after work....

Ok, so that doesn't sound as bad as I had it worked up into my head. I will do them. I ended up doing leg lifts while laying across my ottomen last night. Ah the height of doing no more than necessary.

Yes E! - legg pics.

Nancy - I'm glad everything went great. You're going to give us a report, right?

Paula - have fun with your friends. I can't wait to hear their reation to you. You've been "on" for 8 months now?

It's big that MJ died, but what about Farrah. Golly, she's getting no screen time at all.

Lyz - you will be happy that you did those squats... they do work.. :goodvibes

Almost ready to call it a day and hit the road.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Finally people the day has come!!!:rotfl:

Finalized a real estate deal yesterday. It's been killing me not to say a thing but I wanted it to be finished first. Jean and I decided that although downtown was our first choice - there were some very strange things happenng. Many. And honestly we felt it was a sign to make a leap in life. So we're moving to our favourite town - Collingwood. It's always been downtown or town for me. I need to walk. It's a resort town. Ski resort town on water (Georgian Bay/Lake Huron). DVC people you might have heard of it- we have a direct trade with Intrawest there (Blue Mountain - it's really a hill :lmao:). So the sort of town where people come every weekend - have chalets or condos - 2nd homes etc. Bike trails everywhere.

It's the model I showed you months and months ago. But we got it resale which is great. This older couple just bought last fall put over 20 000 worth of upgrades and then were not seeing their grandchildren enough.

The best thing. It's got a glass shower. :dance3: Like Kidani but not as huge as that one.

So this page is the builder's. Go to Bluewater I and press "floor plans" to see the layout (2 plus den one). If you want to that is. ;)

And even better press the virtual tour under the Bluewater II. the VT has a finished basement and only has one bedroom upstairs. Ours has two plus den. But the office/den in the VT will be my bedroom.

And here is the MLS for our actual home (semi bungalow - we got it for
228 000 though):

And aerial view. You can't see Blue Mountain in that picture. It's a four seasons place - golf and beaches as well.
