In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Hi I'm home ;)

Tonight was dress rehersal night. It went fabulously. I'm so excited for tomorrow nights "opening" :woohoo:

Dawn: So glad that you have rejoined us. And recommitted to yourself. Figuring out all the pieces to your puzzle can be challenging - but I think it's fun in a twisted sorta way. I love playing "numbers" games. Like trying to get the most quantity of food for the least amount of points. I'm a bargain shopper! And posting it daily. A huge help to me.

Paula: Thanks for that post. It was wonderful. And making Kat teary eyed!

Stacey: um yeah. Don't make me get my whistle :rolleyes1

Roddy: I miss you <pouts> Where are you :confused3

Liz: hope Mom is feeling better. Your Guys & Dolls show is coming soon.

Everybody: Hi!!! I'll be back to my normal self next week. After the play is over. :thumbsup2

Tracked. 23 points today (huh. Too busy to eat them all. Go figure)
Exercise. Nothing
Water. Pretty good all things considered.
alcohol. none.

Nance--does this mean you are out of costume hell??? Are they really all done and made and everything?? WOO HOO! Hope the show is GREAT!

Awesome that everything went well with drama! Ohhh, wasn't there a promise of pictures with purple satin? I am a more bang for my buck kinda gal too. Boca vs. Cheeseburger or 1 cup Shirataki vs. 1 cup spaghetti. The numbers speak clearly.

Ok, I am putting the thread to bed. :lmao:

And LISAPR--I am expecting you to wake it up in the morning! Where are you???

Morning everyone!! :goodvibes

Sorry I took a mental day (literally). I was freaking out about the marathon and trying to run the whole way and the run/walk plan not working for me either so I was in serious consult with some marathoners. That and just plain freaking out!! :scared1: See I have this thing that happens around mile 12 where my legs don't feel like they are mine anymore. Like they go numb and just need to keep moving, not walking, moving. I can't get rid of the feeling even with more miles so I was freaking. How am I going to finish 14 more miles when my legs need to move at a 10 mpm pace from mile 12 on????? So you see my whole position in manicdom....:rolleyes1

But I'm much better now......:scared:

Paula, I like your mushy side. You have learned a lot and it shows through your hard work and pounds shed.

Shopping, I ALWAYS take 1-2 hours to shop. Mostly because I get some things here and some things there and most things at the health food store and on and on and on. I make between 3-4 stops just to get everything I need and when the farmer's markets open up, I just get worse.... I have stopped reading labels because I usually buy the same things over and over again so I'm all good in that area. One day I had a lady follow me around the store and buy everything I did. At the checkout she thanked me and said she wanted to eat more healthy and I was basically her guide through the store.

Erika, sorry I let you down with my a.m. post yesterday (everyone else too) but I hope you see from my panic attack that I had good reason. I am mourning B2B as I really enjoyed the race last year. I turned my day off back in and that made me sad too. :guilty: I hope you get a bootleg entry. The race is totally worth it!

Dawn, you are on the right road to success, now it is the follow through that is the hardest. Keeping track of everything and reading labels is an awesome first step!! You will learn a lot just in this stage alone as I am sure others will attest.

Everyone else, great work with the last challenge and hoping for continued success for everyone!

As for me, I had a staff meeting yesterday which entails me driving an hour for a 2 hour meeting and then home again. It totally blows my day (not to mention that the meeting blows too!) and I did not get any exercise in. I could use it after the meeting too...:sad2: Today is 5 slow and easy miles. It should be beautiful today and I am going to enjoy some spring!! Not in my step mind you!! Last night's dinner was burgers made with our "organic" beef, sweet potato, onion, carrots, oat bran and spices. The kids have no idea what they are eating on a normal basis! :lmao: My kids eat strange things too, tofu, broccoli, cauliflower, quinoa, etcetera. They have just gotten used to it. Shelby says that cookies at other people's houses are too sweet. :confused3 I guess I have done something right??!!

Oh and did we decide on a race? Erika, I checked the other day and I can get a flight in October out of Bangor for $201 RT. I nearly passed out. It was cheaper than Portland which is a miracle in itself (and sad at the same time). I have a shirt that I got from runningprincess.com which says "Running Princess" on the front and "Run Pretty" on the back. I was wearing it yesterday and I thought of all of you!!! That and the tiaras.....priceless....

WORD.

Good to see you back, Lisa, and OF COURSE you needed a mental health day. More to say but gotta run.

I have a big meeting this morning. BIG. Send positive vibes my way.

See you on the flip side.

Nance--does this mean you are out of costume hell??? Are they really all done and made and everything?? WOO HOO! Hope the show is GREAT!

Soooo close. I have 4 dresses here that need my attention. 3 need to be hemmed & the 4th needs a zipper replaced. Other than that, (crosses fingers) I think we're done.:yay:

My "costume cohort" took TONS of pictures last night during dress rehersal. Hundreds. I'm hoping to get a cd from her.

I was freaking out about the marathon and trying to run the whole way and the run/walk plan not working for me either so I was in serious consult with some marathoners.

I understand your moment of panic completely  Did you get some good advice?

Headed for the gym. TTYL.

Morning everyone

Went over points yesterday haven't figured our by how much but I will track it! I did get my walk in.
So I am off to breakfast with husband this morning then tanning and then to get the car inspected! Then who know what because I am off for the day!:cool1:

It's snowing here. First day of Spring, and it's snowing.

Oh my word.

Erika - good vibes

Lisa PR - welcome back!!!

Nancy - can't wait to see pictures.

Lyz, how was the HBA dinner?

Paula, I like what you wrote. It's so much a journey, not a destination. You've had times when you were stuck and you let yourself be there and then you moved on when you were ready. We all need to recognize that we sometimes do this and it's okay.

I have to go sort out my life now. Catch you all later!

Liz, Snow?!?! That is unacceptable! It must stop, now!

I had my little rant for the morning. I'm over it. Is everybody ready for the weekend?

Nancy ~ so close! That shouldn't take too much to do, right? Clueless becasue I don't sew.

E ~ good luck at your meeting!

Have a great Friday! :flower3: Think Spring!

Ok just put my points in and the damage was 41... way over my thirty!
I have just 4 bonus points now till monday.. I have my 5 activity points but I rather not use them.
I owned up to eating my Biggy Iggy Ice cream sandwich which is like 14 points instead of eating a skinny cow that is only 2. My sweet craving kicked in at work and I ate a magic bar... yeah magic my A$$, the magic that is does is it goes straight to your HIPS!:lmao: If it where really magic is should just not even count! It would be a 0 cal 0 fat 0 everything!

I have already tracked my breakfast for this morning!
Love having the computer more accessible.

Liz~ I am watching the snow fall in NYC all I can saw is WOW! It's sunny and cold here!

Nancy,
you want to come help us sew for the skating show this week?:confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I will be sewing on Monday & tuesday. Then I get out of it because I have to work! My mom is the person who sews in this family.

Ronda - how is C25k going? Still loving it?

I am. Yesterday was the end of week 6. 25 minute run. I made it and had something left at the end. The interval part of the program has ended and it's just running from here out. 25 min next week, then 28 and 30. The race I plan to run is April 26. The timing is just about right.

I have been running really slowly. I have become the run slowly school marm on the C25K thread. I feel fortunate that nothing hurts and credit sticking to the plan.

We have joined the Y. They offer several free sessions with a personal trainer. I'm intrigued. You are having so much success with Jesse.

Ronda

Just a quick check in for me. I am swamped at work today (something new and different right?) so not much time to chat. I am tired today and looking forward to a few days of no gym time. My body needs a break. Jesse noticed that I was swearing a lot during my workout. Yeah – I was tired and my body was fighting me.

Ronda – so happy that the C25k program is going well and you are enjoying it. I love reading how people’s plans are coming together. It gives me hope that mine will as well. You should definitely check out the personal trainer at the Y. I love, love, love my workouts now and that is something I can’t ever really admit to saying before. The trainer will push you to do more than you thought you could do (within reason) and teach you the right way to do things (which I so needed). The accountability factor of having someone to report to is a great incentive for me, but the financial aspect can be a bit daunting, but it is definitely worth it.

Kat – I didn’t mean to make you teary eyed, but I am happy that I touched your heart.

Nancy – hope the show is fabulous this weekend. I’m sure all will be great. Try to get some rest this weekend. You deserve it for all of the work you have done.

Erika - good luck with the meeting.

Stacey – how was the gym? Just checking…

OK - off to work for me... contractors want to get paid and I have some filing to do as well. Talk to you all later...

Resident Accountability Officer Reporting for duty! :lmao:

Stacey?? Do you have something you wish to share with the class?

Paula? When is your next scheduled day off from the gym? :confused3

Dawn? You indicated that you wanted to post your food. Do you need an accountability officer for assistance or are you good? :rolleyes1

who else?

anyone? Trust me - I don't want to leave anyone out.

Roddy. Where ARE you? Kat - has he gone into hiding? Witness protection program maybe? :confused3

Yes, Roddy, where are you?

Gym - check!

Food is a struggle this week. Oh, joy.

But the snow has turned to rain! YES!

On plans and first steps...

IMHO, the hardest step to take is not the first. It's the second, third, twentieth. To keep walking. I can start anything. It's keeping it going that's hard.

And as for plans, there is a best plan. It's the one that you make the decision to see to the end.

It's all, God forgive me, like a relationship. Honestly, is it destiny or timing? Is it true love or lots of choices to love? I can start any romance - with diet, exercise, or a man. But sticking to it when times are tough is the hardest, and most rewarding, part.

Paula? When is your next scheduled day off from the gym? :confused3

Nancy - I am not setting foot inside the gym until Monday. I am in Long Island for the weekend for Odyssey (part of the reason why I crammed so many workouts into a short period of time - big mistake...) I packed a DVD if the mood strikes to move on Saturday night, but I don't know if I will do it. I may just go for a walk with my dog on Sunday when I get home instead to keep things easy and light.

Thanks for checking in with me. :goodvibes
