In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

My mother is a cop show freak. She watches all the CSI's and NCSI or whatever it is. She get's angry when I make fun of The Ginger Vampire. :lmao:

Liz - I want a honking big house. It's my dream. We build too many, I have so many ideas and opinions. Must. Win. Lottery.

EriKa - you have an assistant? Who knew. Are you tight?

As you should - that's what you want.

I'm bolding so this is clear. I would love to have more space. Love it. Not much but definite alone space and another bathroom. But I adore downtown so had to choose. So nothing against space. Would adore a townhouse downtown. But don't have million. Yet. :rotfl: I just like to point out why a small space has its pluses so I don't seem like a complete lunatic. It's 440 Kat

Liz, yes, I do. I think people around me are constantly a bit baffled about how I live. Mostly due to the lifestyle, though, but also the stark surroundings.

However, my closet is probably as big as E's, or close to it. This house has a lot of space, a lot more than 2 people and 2 cats probably need. We have two bedrooms that are barely used, and even one bedroom closet that is virtually empty.

Lisa, how big is your place again? 400? I lived in 500 sq ft when I lived in Chicago and I loved it. It was an open, airy space with great views.

E, loved the princess half links. I SO want to do it. Even with the pink shirts! ;)

But you love it, right? That's all that matters. I think some people don't love their houses but thought they wanted size.

I wish I had been sleeping. Instead, I was at the gym. Had my 8:00 am "beating". OMG she totally kicked my @ss. Totally and completely. I am SO whooped. She laughed and promised me that I would be thinking about her tomorrow - when the thought of stairs made me cry. Yep. I'm toast.

Hi Steph! Good to hear from you. :goodvibes

I saved mine from the WDW marathons.

I find it very interesting to see how others live. I'm not into "excessive". Just don't see the need for it, kwim? But others just have this need to be living in a museum-like house. I won't even call it a "home" because you feel like you have to be uber careful with everything. Not my style. I mean - I have GOATS in my house every now and then. I gotta be practical! ;)

The Harry Potter Child. :upsidedow

I have a different perspective now though. Our house is big enough - about 3500sq ft. For our area, it's pretty average size. And yes, I have 3 kids so it's been great. But I'm seeing the light at the end of my "kids living at home" tunnel! As one gets ready to leave for college, and the baby headed for H.S. I can't help but wonder how much longer I *need* to live here.

The bigger the house, the more crap that you fill it with - the longer it takes to clean :rolleyes1 Not that I'm ready for retirement or anything...I dunno. If I were to move today, I would look for a house that was a step down in size I think.

That's awesome. Love it :goodvibes

We do it just to annoy you. :lmao:

BEAUTIFUL day here today. Simply gorgeous. If I weren't so whooped, I'd get my bike out and ride. But I'd probably fall off right now :scared:

Besides - gotta go sew. less than 2 weeks until the show, and I just want to be done!

Killer workout. Nice. I'd love to see pics of your backyard. Is it glorious Nancy?

Hey thanks Nancy I forgot to say hi to Steph awhile back. Hi Steph. :lovestruc

Where the heck is Paula? Is she having an affair with Jesse? :lmao: ;)

Still waiting.

That's right. Good work. Hound her I say.

Roddy. She treats it like a booty call.

Too funny.

I am in the sun now. :)

Nice Kat.

When we get to goal we do get extra points so we can maintain our weight. Not sure if its 4 points - knowing my luck it will only be one! :rotfl:

Triathamom. I love it :lovestruc

:lmao:

Me either!

:lmao: So funny!

You make me snort-laugh! Which is good. Not so good on the nose though but hey ho!

Todays food:

Breakfast - Bran Flakes 2.5 points
Skimmed milk - 1 point

Snack - WW Blueberry bar and an apple - 2 points

Lunch - Can of tomato soup - 1 point
WW Yoghurt - 0.5 points
Sugar free jelly - 0 points

Snack - 2 marmite flavoured rice cakes - 1 point

Dinner - Turkey curry - 5.5 points
Brown rice - 3 points
Naan bread - 3 points

Total - 19.5 points

Snort laugh. Love it.

Kat - RED. No black. That's old people candy.

Watch what you're saying 32. Almost 42 is listening.

Red is definitely the way to go. Black is awful. Can't even stand sambuca.

.

:lovestruc black. :lovestruc Sambuca. But love red too. ;)

Not when will I find time, but how am I going to fit in all the different kinds?
See why peanut butter cups were an easier choice? ;)

First of all adore peanut butter cups. Second, this is so what I suffer. I'm in a tremendous battle, all the flippin' time, how to get in all the workouts I want and I love. All the time. I never heard anyone express this. I feel so understood. :lmao: :lovestruc

Plus, how to limit ones that do funny things to my a$$ but do great things to my legs. I go there too. Right now something is building my calves, which are huge already, and I'm pissed. It's like when I figure out which of you little sh!t exercises are doing that sh!t - you're out of here. I suspect plank jacks. :lmao:

Yes, I'm mentally ill. :lmao:

I just want my second bathroom so I don't have to hold it while my four year old reads books on the potty.

Jodi and Greg have the same house we do.
.

:lmao: on the potty reader. Too cute. :lovestruc

And Jodi - how is she doing Liz?

I got a Bondi that just says TRI on it (in the oval sticker style).

And I got my mom and I matching shirts. On the front it says Triathlete with big graphic in the center of the swim/bike/run. And on the back it says:

Swim
Bike
Run
Tri
Finish

Just like that in a line down the center. I will post pics. And the kids gave me a tech shirt that says Triathamom. LOVE that.

Love it.:lovestruc Nice. Triathamom. Love both sides. Can't wait to see them.

What the flip?

I can sit here all day and no one will post. I take my time logging in and thinking there may be a few posts when I do and there's like 3-4 pages. :lmao:

Funny, eh?

Kat--so jealous of your outdoor time, but happy for you! :goodvibes

Yes, red licorice only.

And I would never hire anyone I adore, as I do you all. Because I can be a b*tch to work for.

Ok, time for family time.

Nancy - good question.

Thank you. And I'd be delighted to know if anyone has a good answer :confused3

Ok, so I broke down. We walked to the candy store. It was wonderful and now I'm eating licorice laces. Just sayin.

My first thought was red. I hope they were red. Then I realized. You WALKED to a candy store? How far is that from you. Criminey. I live in the friggin' STICKS.

Steph walks to the tanning salon. You walk to the candy store. The closest *anything* to me is a solid 4 miles. Well - except our little post office & library branch - we have little "satellite facilities" for those of us stick people

Killer workout. Nice. I'd love to see pics of your backyard. Is it glorious Nancy?

Currently muddy and brown. Not an attractive view quite frankly! :sad2:

Where the heck is Paula? Is she having an affair with Jesse? :lmao: ;)

Paula is off for the weekend. Boston.

Hi all - barely concious in the middle of another narcotic haze :guilty: but i thought i'd check in. Kind of sick of being in pain.... oh well.

So i noticed a lot of house chat, wanted to chime in because we finally have all of the mortgage preapproval out of the way, paperwork is in order, so tomorrow, we go househunting for the first time. I'm very excited :woohoo:

I finally was able to eat semi-solid food today. Bruce grilled me a little hamburger, and i was able to little by little eat almost half of it! Yay me, i'll be back to chewing in no time! :headache:

Oh yeah. I forgot seeing her friend. Thanks Nancy.

Everything is two seconds from me. Everytning. A myriad of food within minutes/seconds. Beyond choices. In fact, are you ready Nancy - I have a convenience store in the building where I don't have to go outside. :lmao:It sits right beside the elevator. I could go in my PJs if I so desired.

Oh Stacey. So sorry. Good to hear from you though.

So exciting about the house. Have fun. Can't wait to hear. Hey! Look across your lake there - lots for sale. :lmao: I'm waving. :wave2:

Feel better, Stacey!

Nancy--believe it or not, I don't know about the gender thing. I thought it was only for women. But when I look at the Wish Racing team list of who is running, there are men listed. So...:confused3 (just for you, Roddy!).

Ok, it is 7:45, which means 8:45, so I am heading to bed to get some rest before the big day!

Thank You, Erika. I needed another ":confused3 " to get an extra life and more ammunition for my bazooka I used to fight off bad guys.

Stacey- your mouth pain. I can't even imagine. I can understand why you're just *done* with it all!

Wow. So different! I'd feel like I was living in a hotel!

The race is promoted as a women's event, but I haven't seen anywhere where it says it's for "female participants only". :confused3 Just curious.

I hope you can get some sleep, Erika! Can't wait to hear how it went. Kick some @ss, ok?

here - let me help you achieve your next level :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

:lmao:

We are Harry Potter fans here as well. Watching the HP Weekend on ABC Family. Prisoner of Azkiban just started. While I do enjoy the movies, I like the books much better. Impossible to do them justice in movie form, IMO. But even better than the books themselves, are the books on CD. :lovestruc :lovestruc They are read by Jim Dale - amazing. As a matter of fact, I had just told DH the other day that I need to start again with Order of the Pheonix and go thru the last 3 books again before the next movie comes out.

That's just overkill, Nancy.

I'm watching that too.

You know what I like about the movies?

No reading.

Only takes a few hours then I can take a nap.

Just a friendly reminder....don't forget to change your clocks!

LisaV & Kelly - do you guys do that too? or is it just an American thing?

Good reminder, Nancy, I keep forgetting. :thumbsup2

Geez, just as soon as I get used to EST, we have to change again to DST. :sad2:

Um, did all of you take your posting pills today. I just can't leave ya unattended can I, lol.

Be back after I catch up!

We have fancy alarm clocks. They set by themselves. Wonderful. Anyway, my husbands must be a day off, cause it jumped the hour last night.

Watch what you're saying 32. Almost 42 is listening.

Nancy - I live in the sticks too. Well 2/3 miles from town. Truly it's perfect. Close enough to run back and forth when necessary, but far enough we are in the country.

My office. It's downtown. Right down town. Historic District and all. We just had to cross one intersection to get to the candy store. Maddi's dance class, right down the ally. I drop her off and go back to the office for an hour. It's great. The "office" is 8 miles from our house.

Hi all - barely concious in the middle of another narcotic haze :guilty: but i thought i'd check in. Kind of sick of being in pain.... oh well.

This has gone on waaaay to long Stacey! Poor girl.

Wonder if EriKa's getting any sleep?

Amy - having fun in Disney World?

We told Mol she needed to play a sport. (7th grade) Track or softball. Her choice. Well her choice is to lay on the couch after school. That wasn't an option. Tomorrow she has her first softball practice. Today we went to the sporting goods store to get gloves (her and me) a bat and a ball. Um, this equipment is expensive. But we had fun practicing. The weather was so freaking awesome today.

Ok, off to bed. Night all.

Just got back from Watchmen, dinner, and drinks. Nice night with Jodi, Greg, and our friend Mary. We decided Watchmen was good but too much gratuitous violence. And a sex scene none of us needed to see. Not for kids, this one. But a good movie that i liked but I wouldn't own, if you know what I mean.

Dinner - sushi, good. Drinks, wine, yum. We discussed being the Spice Girls for Halloween this year - we were Rocky Horror last year. I got voted as Posh. Shocker, right? :rotfl: Jodi as Sporty, Mary wanted and got Baby, and we drafted another friend as Ginger. And I told Greg he has to be Scary. Because a man being Scary is awesome.

So. Have to go to bed so I can exercise tomorrow. Oy to the vey. This will pay off, right?

How is Jodi doing btw? Yum, sushi.

Jodi is doing well, thanks. Sorry I keep forgetting to answer that. Totally normal thus far. Crazy but normal.

I, too, love HP and can't wait for HBP.
