In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

To calculate points ive got a WW points calculator, and the slidy ruler whatsit as well - we calculate points on Calories and Saturated Fat, no fiber grams. Very strange. Maybe I'll move countries! :lmao:

That IS strange. :confused3

For example. I have protein bars here on my desk.

Calories=210
Total Fat= 7g
Saturated Fat= 4g
Fiber=3g

According to my little calculating gizmo that would be 4 points. What does your calculator say? :confused3

HA! On the ice thing, I totally wasn't thinking of the ice rink when I posted that. Just being plain ol' snarky!!

:lmao:

I try to check in at 96oz as well. Sometimes it is closer to 64, though, and sometimes it is closer to 128. Fat-flushing fun!!

Exactly. It's been quite an eye-opening experience for me. I will never again underestimate the importance of water.

One thing I really like about a class-based workout like that, is that it pushes me to an extreme that I wouldn't get to myself, if that makes sense. However, I am not really into spinning, and usually classes are more like happy-happy and less like Jillian. I just lucked into this one. Think 30day shred, with punches and more kicks than anyone should do, for 45 min, and with Jillian there yelling at you....

I miss my class workouts. :sad2: Planet Fitness doesn't have 'em. Never will. Just not their "thing". Sadly, the gyms around here the DO have classes (with the sole exception being the Y which I will not join) are really too far away from me. A minimum of a 25 minute drive. And not in any direction that I would normally be going.

For now, I'll just read about your classes and daydream about the old days :rolleyes1

Wow, NONE of the classes at my gym are happy-happy. They are all a$$ kicking cry fests. That's why I don't go to the gym when I am feeling lame. :rotfl: Spin is spin, Step makes me cry, boot camp is terrifying, even the yoga/Pilates one is scary hard. I don't go near the dance-based ones. And I danced for YEARS. They use this company to develop all regular classes, and all of them change every three months. So once you get it down, it's gone. Some instructors do their own, like their own Pilates, spin, etc, but not one of those has been easy.

I need to go to your gym. ;)

Ok ?QUESTION HERE? Does your body adjust to all that water or do you spend 90% of your time in the BATHROOM Because when I drink 64 oz I am in the bathroom all day!

I think kickboxing might make you cry. Esp Thurs, when she adds step!

Not sure whether or not step is a$$-kicking but I do know the instructor is way too happy-happy when she teaches it, which what I guess I mean by that. I don't want any cheering, telling me to count, and being perky and upbeat. I want boot camp.

Spin is just not my thing, and they don't offer it anyhow. I think there is boot camp and pilates in the evening but I have yet to make it to one, they start at 5-6 which is too early for me.

Nancy, I used to belong to PF but I have the opposite problem, it is just too far for me now.

You would LOVE my gym. Everyone is nice, no one is perky. Scares me, perfect for you! :rotfl:

The first day, I was going like every 15 minutes :scared1: Ok, maybe not *quite* that often, but a lot. But my body has adjusted. Not quite so frequent anymore.

ack. I feel like one of those old-people-who-pee-constantly commercials :rotfl: Ask your doctor about....:rotfl2:

Sounds like my kind of place :lovestruc

As well you should, veggie killer. :darth:

Poor celery

I go maybe every 1-2 hours or so now? And every time I do, I think, more fat flushed!! :thumbsup2

I'm like that after lunch. I usually have a large coffee and a 20 oz water. I generally float back in to work. :rotfl:

Actually, us Non-Amish folk have indoor plumbing aka water-closets aka bathrooms so, it doesn't take so long because we don't have to go so far to use the facilities. Just Sayin' :)

:lmao:

LYZ--woo hoo on the TAXES! I will even allow the banana usage! Awesome!

KAT--great job on the workout! Love me a kick-a$$ workout!

LIZ--yes! I feel like apologizing to the veggies, too! :rotfl2:

And as for gyms and scary people vs. happy-happy classes, etc. You DO realize that I am perky, right? :yay:

NANCY--I am going to up my water since you now swear by it.

I am guessing that LisaPR is still without power. I was up that way today and many folks are still without power. One of the women we met with today, her house is at 38* INSIDE. This is scary stuff. Hang in there, Lisa!

As for my day--OMG the snow! We have already had several storms this winter and not much has melted (especially further up north where the camp is). And yesterday's storm left TWO FEET of new snow on top of what was already there. Just getting to the camp was quite an accomplishment. We had to park on the road and climb up over the snow embankment to get to the driveway (which of course hasn't been plowed all winter). The embankment was easily 8' high.

So first it was up over that. Then we snowshoed to the house...maybe 50 yards. Not too far. Standard driveway length. But it was, no lie, hip deep. And that wasn't to the ground. That was just to the ice pack. When we finally got in the house, I went to look at the deck so I could see how much snow there really was. It was at about my nose. Almost 5' of snow.

Everything seems fine, which is good. But there is so much to do that we have to go back on Saturday. There must be 3' of snow on the roof. We have to get it off. And we have to somehow clear that deck. I am surprised it hasn't caved in yet.

Roddy - love the quote in your signature. HA!

E - I'm not anti perky. Kat is.

Remember Kat, sans sleep and coffee? Remember Kat with sleep and coffee? Night and day!

The snow in ME is insane. I would kill myself if it was still snowing here. I am ready for the beach by now!

Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have you in mind while I was typing it, Liz. :thumbsup2

I remember when Kat (who forgot to tell me that a new thread starts after 200 pages) forgot to tell me that a new thread starts after 200 pages! But that was a long, long time ago and I've since moved on.

Kat without sleep and coffee is NOT a pretty sight. Add in perky, and there might be trouble! :scared:

Anyhow, you both know I am anti-perky. E/Liz, you aren't really perky, because there is a healthy dose of realism and snarky under there. Perky, to me anyhow, has an element of naive/fake.

Hey Everybody!

Knee deep in annual reviews that must all be delivered by Friday. Eck! I do love meeting with my peep, but 15 hours plus interviewing potential employees is rough sometimes.

Off to catch up!

um - you sure about that???

Just checking in to say hi to everyone. Strangely, I don't have much to say tonight (I know - try to hold back your shock and awe).

Amiee - good luck with the reviews
Erika - good luck with your battle against the snow
Kat - please be sure to get sleep and caffeine (and tell Roddy what happens when we hit 200 pages - he is getting a bit whiny about being left out of the loop)
Lyz- get some sleep - you deserve it
Amy - hope NC is still treating you well
Steph - way to go on sneaking exercise into your daily life
Stacey - hope you found some time to stop and breathe
Lisa PR - hope all is well with you
LisaV - how are you doing?
LisaZ - when do the new classes start?
Sunny - where have you been? I saw you posted and then you were gone. Hope everything is well
Liz - sending you hugs :grouphug: I am totally loving that you are on target. Can't wait to see you in "the" outfit again
Nancy - Jesse was sick tonight. He still kicked my butt, but it wasn't nearly as much fun.
Kelly - How was your CSI time (and what was your treat with your extra points?)
Dawn - hope you have a great time in WDW

I hope I caught everyone. I apologize if I didn't.

Off to catch the rest of Obama's speech. Talk to you later.
Paula

indoor what? :confused3

NANCY--I am going to up my water since you now swear by it.

I am completely convinced. There is no doubt in my mind now that I was struggling so much recently because I was under-hydrated.

:scared1: 38* inside? I'd be at a hotel.

As for my day--OMG the snow!

Glad everything was ok when you got there. Looks like you're in for quite a calorie burn from shovelling on Saturday :woohoo:

Bummer. :headache: Erin was groggy this morning. Apparently she was up late painting last night. Groggy=freakin' hard exercises :scared1: I told her numerous times today how much I hated her

Of course, I always say that if I'm not complaining, then I'm not working hard enough. ;) "I hate you" is the ultimate compliment I think. :upsidedow

I'm watching that too. They sure do clap a lot. This is going to take for.ever. :rolleyes1
