In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

E - Have fun! TRACK. Yes, track. You can do it.

Paula - Have a great time!!!!

Kat - do you realize you are less than 10lbs away from goal??? You can do it! Even though you have a big weekend coming up, do not be deterred!

I am off to spin class, then the Disney Block Party with Emily and my friend and her kid. I do not do children's music, but I do love They Might Be Giants, and we all know I love Disney, so this should be some good fun and also indoctrination for the child. Gotta get them Disney addicted at a tender age!

Tomorrow night we are going to a game at Shea....but not just any Mets game. My friend is turning 40 and she has rented out the largest suite, the Diamond suite, and invited 38 people to the game, catered with an open bar and a server for us for the night! No, she's not rich, although we figure this is costing her 10K. She is single and this is her wedding, of sorts. Both her parents died in the last 2 years, so she has some inheritance, and she is just going for it. After all she's been through, we are so happy she is celebrating 40 in a way she loves. So that's my big swanky event of the weekend!

Ok, gotta go spin. It's sick that I am happy to spin b/c it's not a run day. So dark side, the lesser of two evils. :rotfl:

Gosh everyone is headed out for the weekend. I plan to chill. And hopefully buy some new underware.:rotfl:

Isn't there something inherently WRONG with having wi-fi capability while camping? I mean, really.

Actually, I think there is something very, very, right with it.

Whooo doggies. That sounds amazing. I bet Nick is excited too.

Well everyone, have fun going.

Get your lazy bones outta bed! :rotfl2:

So I am getting ready to leave for the week-end in a couple of hours, but this will be a first for me as I am bringing my laptop. Isn't there something inherently WRONG with having wi-fi capability while camping? I mean, really.

xoxo

I might get my DH to go camping if our local campground had wi-fi! :rotfl: No, not really. But it would be worth the try!

Introduction: I started working out a month ago today! The scale was stuck for a while, but I've lost 7 lbs in the past week! :lmao: No, not really. Probably more like 3. :yay: (Is there a bike-riding smiley?) I was sweating no loss for 2 weeks, then DH realized that the scale was not zeroed; it was reading 4 lbs when no one was on it. :rolleyes1 But it's 12 lbs in 4 weeks, so I'm loving it! My mini-goal is another 12 lbs in the next 6 weeks. We head to WDW the Thursday after Labor Day for one last long weekend before the APs expire. I figure I'm still in the honeymoon phase of the workouts so I can make it happen!

Steph - how was the fair? Did you eat any yummy food you'll feel bad about later?
Oh God Yes! I had a sausage sandwich w/o the onions and peppers then half of a blooming onion. Then I went on the Avalanche 4 times! Let's just say the blooming onion did last long! Rides + greasy food = Oh there were GOATS! With big signs DO NOT TOUCH THE ANIMALS!

Either way, Molli did awesome. She was confident and smiled the whole time. (I know I sound like a nasty, petty mother. But I'm ok with that.)
I'm glad she did well! ( No you don't sound nasty):goodvibes

:welcome: :welcome:

Welcome Astro Orbitor. And yea, I've been victim to the incorrect scales too. But it wasn't in my favor.

YUM - Bloomin Onion.

EriKa - I hope you don't think it's acceptable to sneak out of dodge without posting a pic of Steven Tylers Castle? This will be grounds for punishment.

OMG, she totally snuck out of town on us! WRONG! :rotfl2:

Welcome, Astro orbiter! Tell us more about yourself - your name, if you don't mind, because I SUCK at typing handles, but I will remember your real name! 12lbs in 4 weeks is amazing! Good for you!

Steph - was it a good sausage and peppers? Yum.

So, I went to the Disney Music Block Party today. Exhausting, but not in the omg, I want to kill my kid way. Thankfully. They had all these activity tents, and the music was quick and good and there was a lack of merchandise. Which is good. But the basically had the world's worst pizza for dinner. Yuck. Now I want something before bedtime. :sad2:

I did do spin and yoga, and I have my weekly points, so i can dip into those. Which is good. Love those weekly points.

Okay, what's shaking tonight, girlies?

Good Morning Ladies!
So I hope everyone has a great weekend! Think of me WORKING While your all off having fun!
So I told you all about how my boss made a mistake on the schedule and how she said that she had lost her head, well yesterday I had to go for training and she failed to mention to anyone that I was going to be late coming into the lab. So when I wasn't there at 3:00 The person in charge called my house looking for me. My poor daughter was so upset because she knew I had left for work at one. And now here it is three and I am not at work, she tried calling my cell which I muted, and did not answer. Then she panic and woke Stephen up from his nap and said that my work called... etc... , etc. So he called from his cell and Kim the lady that was training me said to answer it. Stephen said WHERE ARE YOU?? I was like I am at work doing that testing!!! YOU ARE INTERRUPTING ME! He said well work just called here saying that you haven't come in yet! So long story short, I called work and straightened the whole mess out. My boss was like oh ya! I forgot all about that she has been here since 1230. UMMM NO 130. I think she may be needing a vacation to recharge her brain.
So again Have fun this weekend think of me while you are all having it! STUCK IN THE GLOOMY HOSPITAL! and I say that in my best EEYORE voice.:rotfl2:
LIZ I want to hear all about this baseball game party!!! Pics included!!

Hey!

Baseball game was totally awesome. She had rented out two suites for 38 people, fully catered. We had our own server dedicated just to us, named Paula. Paula was awesome. (I always make friends with the people bringing me food. Don't you?) A few of us had a some really great conversations with her, about weight loss and recycling in NYC - businesses claim to recycle but don't, and the state/city doesn't penalize them AT ALL like they would a citizen.

Anyway, the food. We had pretzels, popcorn and cracker jacks. Lots and lots of beer and wine, and bottle of anything you could think of - vodka, gin, run etc. Mixers, of course. Sausage and peppers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, cheese fries, penne with vodka sauce, pasta salad, green salad, chicken ceasar salad, crudite, cheese plate, hummus and other spreads, cookies, brownies and cake, and some other stuff I couldn't even get to. There was a lot of food.

I mostly drank, but I did track every single thing I drank and ate. I used a lot of points, but I'm not over my weekly yet! Whoo-whee!

And oh, yes, there was a game. They lost in extra innings. We got home really late, like 130am. I owe my babysitter a ton of cash now. The guys had the time of their life, though! All the Mets fans just loved the seats and hanging out and were all wearing Mets gear. So, good times even though there was a loss.

Today is Emily's birthday, so I have to go be Mommy. I will try to post pictures of the game tomorrow, and then pictures of her birthday, too. We're party central around here!

Happy 4th Birthday Emily!

Hey--I am back. Have to unpack, clean up, blah, blah. Will post and respond to all later tonight.

E.

Steph - Your boss sounds really distracted right now. Scary for your hubby and Sam.

Liz - the ball game sounds awesome. Ohh the food. I hope you took pics.

Happy Birthday Emily!!!

E - glad your back.

Nothing to report from Ohio. Just making list after list after list for next week and buying and compiling everthing on the lists. Whew!

I've been a slug tho and my head hurts from being such a slug. Ready for Monday. I know! Shut up EriKa.

:lmao: :rotfl2: HI LAR IOUS! Ok, I have a problem...the Steven Tyler castle pics are on my camera (not hard drive) and I can't find my camera! I may have left it on the boat last week-end??? Not sure. Just GONE. But no worries (other than your patience! Sheesh!) we go by his castle every time we are on the boat, so I will get it eventually even if I don't find my camera right away. (I can use my old one if I have to...)

I've been a slug tho and my head hurts from being such a slug. Ready for Monday. I know! Shut up EriKa.

LOVE IT! Yes, get back on the TM tomorrow and I will get back to tracking, k? OMG I have been eating and drinking like there is no tomorrow. Well, ok, I wasn't terrible. But I wasn't good either. I ran on Friday from the campground. And yesterday I rode my bike (but not that much...like 40 minutes). And today I did zero exercise. So I have no run since Friday. Tomorrow will have to be my long run day. That means like 9 miles or so. I am scared sh*tless.

Ok, I am disgustingly busy after not being online for 3 nights...

Hey! On the phone with Kat...she's on her way home from her weekend visit. She says hi!

Emily's parties went really, really well. Her bowling party was good - simple, not too much fuss, kids had fun, and the best part, it wasn't at my house. And her cake was delicious!

When that was over, we had close family and friends over for dinner. That went really well. In fact, this was the least stressful and best planned birthday yet. I can't believe she's four!

Liz - Happy Belated birthday to E.... she is absolutely adorable... I am loving those curls....

E - glad you had a good time on the camping trip... Sometimes, you need to just take some time to chill...

Steph - I would be having some serious words with your boss for those actions... can we say unacceptable????

I got home a few hours ago and between laundry, my workout (I am back to my Biggest Loser tape for a while) and such, so now I am finally getting a chance to check in.

My weekend was awesome... it was great to see my friends again and even better to hear their reactions to the changes I've made in me... Call me shallow, but compliments are always an immediate mood booster...

I did all right with the food plan. I brought my JC food for most of my meals and ate dinner on Saturday night with the gang. I tried to stay within reason and filled up on veggies, but I did indulge in the chocolate fondue dessert... On the plus side, I did a hike on Saturday so I think I am OK. All right, I need to repeat that, I HIKED!!!!! We did a trail that was about a mile and a half that was all uphill. I was so psyched that my back didn't bother me and I felt great. I could have kept going, but the trail ended, so we had to turn around and come back. Overall, the weekend was a great motivator for me telling me to keep going.

Hope you all had a great weekend as well....

Talk to you in the morning,
Paula

Liz - those were beautiful pics of Emily. I espically liked the 3 of you together. Glad everything went well.

Paula - whoo to the hoo on the hike! And yes, nothing like a compliment to keep you going.

"Hi" Kat! Hope you had fun!

What is this it is 8:47 and E isn't on yet? WOW must be busy getting her run in!
Liz Glad the parties went well. Em is absolutely BEAUTIFUL I love the curls and of course the color of her hair! I'm jealous! Oh to have that color naturally!

Hope everyone has a great day! I am supposed to have weigh in tonight but I have to work. I just got off scale and I am up :sad2: 228.8 I MUST get back on track and start tracking I haven't since I was on vacation and that was two weeks ago! AND IT SHOWS:scared1:

E - must be pounding the pavement. 9 miles she said. Kill me now. Really.

I walked on the treadmill. I SOO didn't want to. I was having the conversation, trying to talk myself out of it. But I did it. Only 30 minutes. But, that is still a victory compared to a month ago and considering I so didn't want to walk, period. I am feeling it in my thighs. I don't know if it's all the walking or the weight lifting, stretching I am doing every other day. Either way, I'm happy about it. Now where is my Allieve.

Steph - yes, just hop back on the wagon. It's so easy to get lax and eat casually. But you have come this far and wasn't it you that was shopping in the misses section? Big victory, so just get back on.

Hi All...

Not much to report this morning other than I am nervous about tonight's weigh in... I hopped on the scale this morning and I did not like the number at all. I think it may have something to do with the food I ate yesterday and the Biggest Loser workout. I was working some muscles as well as cardio and someone said (I think it was Kat) that the acids in your muscles can build up after a workout and sometimes cause a gain.... Oh well - the weekend was fun and now it is time to get back on track....

Talk to you all later...
Paula

run Erika, run... - 9 miles... you are my hero...

E - must be pounding the pavement. 9 miles she said. Kill me now. Really.
Erika Erika Where are you!!! I know it doesn't take you this long to run!!! You desert us for the weekend (and you had Wi Fi)Now you are a NO show on Monday HHHmmmm What's up with that![/QUOTE]

I can't bring myself to run walk or exercise The DARK side hasn't hit me yet!

Yes, today is the day! Back to tracking! Back to the water! Yes Missus! HOW JOYFUL THAT WAS! I need to keep going I need to be the little train that could! I can do it I think I can I think I can! CHOOO CHOOO!

Other news Everyone has the stomach flu! Gee How come I didn't get it that great that I could have lost this darn pound that I have gained back... Zac has it now. This is bad because of his diabetes so his now controlled blood sugar is back out of whack! I have called in and Maybe able to head to WW tonight I really need to go!
So I found this wedding journal OMG was is it wonderful I have told Sam that she has to get married in Disney! No if's and's or But's about it:rotfl2: ! I am starting a wedding fund for her NOW!!! I hope that the people that took her photo's are still around for Sammies wedding I guess I should start letting her date so We have a groom for the wedding ??? OMG if she gets married in ten years that is only 120 months away!!!:scared1: I need to start putting away 425 a month for her wedding :scared1: You figure prices will double in ten years! Now the min for a Wishes Wedding is $25,000, ten years I figure $50,000! YIKES:eek: :scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Fun, food-filled weekend means that I have to step it up this week. Two birthday parties...cake...pizza...tortilla chips... My DD's party was easy - I bought mostly junk food I don't eat and was pretty busy guiding the girls through crafting. The other one was my downfall...+ 1lbs from Fri to Mon. And it's not water weight...

Off to ride more this week - I'll have to add another 2 miles in the morning (and I'm scared of bumping from 5 mi to 7 mi) or out in the evenings. I hate evening rides because it's doggie-dodge, gnat-ingestion, and slowpoke-pass'em IF it's not raining. We have a bike/walking path. Why do people walk 3-across? Why do runners run in the middle - and listen to music so that they can't hear me say "excuse me"? Why do people with dogs walk on one side and let Fido be on the other side? This is what gets me up in the mornings at 6:10. That, and the humidity's sooo much better. (I live in S Florida)
