In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Steph, OMG to the cow thing. I suppose that's the norm on a farm, but, oh my.

Kat, lunch sounds good. Mexican food is my favorite. Love me some gucamole.

Vicki - you went back to thread #1 and found goodies. What stood out? And, super neat that your son can record people. Have you had him record you?

Goof - thanks for checking in. I was starting to wonder.

Nancy - that is so scary. I hate the thought of a fire. Yes, what could have been is just awful. I bet you're counting your blessings tonight. Big "things" tend to do that.

Jodi - I can't wait to hear about the open house. It'll be interesting. Are we gonna see pics of your new "do"?

Darla - we like dining plans too.

But I miss the old "silver" plan.

The first year we went, we fought so much about the price of food. I had a 5year old that would take one bite of a $100 hotdog and then be done. After that we got the dining plan and both love it. It's already paid for. No thinking involved. And there is a TON of food, but we like to eat, so no biggie.

Dawn - those dang popups kept messing with me too. I finally just had to download the program to my laptop and pc and then the popups were not an issue. If you've already done this, then I don't know how to help.

LizSince you lost, I guess the head of brocolli worked.:rotfl:

I can't believe those of you who homeschool. My kids can't hear what I'm saying normally, their never gonna learn from me.

Ok - so I went to a Parade of Homes for a new drive in a very posh neighborhood. The houses are pretty big, 6 - 9,000 sq ft, but more than that, they have all the bells and whistles. Movie/Media rooms, bars, one even had a dog suite. With a tv in it, playing a dog show.:lmao:

Of course these are out of my league, but I can day dream can't I?

Because my hubby is a custom builder, we are very critical when we go to these things. We notice it all. But at this show, usually, everything is just A+++++. And the interior design, OMG, just the best. I get lots of ideas for my dream house, when that day comes. I have a file, donchaknow.

Ok, I need to get to bed. See ya in the morn.

Oh I know sometimes I think it is worse than being married to an OB. Calls all hours of the night. I still cringe when he comes home saying he had to use CHAINS:scared1:  to pull a cafe out!!:faint:

Oh tell me about it I would go insane I love my kids but I like my "MY TIME" selfish I maybe but I need a few hours on quiet no spongebob no Hip Hop Harry No monster trucks, no kids jumping on the bed and smacking their heads.

Did you take Pictures? I would love to see something like that! They have something like that over in the town I used to live in in VT. It was around christmas and it was the Christmas house tour. That way you could see your neighbors house all decorated for the holidays

Here are some pics. These houses are new, they have not been lived in yet. The are on sale, and some sold the first day of the show.

I don't have that many, because I only take pics of things that are outrageous or I'd like to use in my "dream house." My pics aren't the best - I snap quickly so not to hold the line of people up.

This is a basement tv room. Behind the couches they placed a counter top with stools. We liked it, because we could have pizza at the bar.

This was one side of a movie theater. I love it. That's what I want to do with my life sized Mickeys. The other side was lined with movie characters also.

This bar was just awesome. I wish I'd have taken a better picture. Above the alcohol were 4 televisions facing each side, just like a real deal bar, but in someone's basement. :confused3 We don't know where all the guests would park. This is the same house with above theater, it even had a kitchen for caters.

The last house had a coat closet that was set up as a coat check. It really amused me. Everyone needs a coat check, eh?

Hey all!

Nancy--glad it was not more serious! WOW! What a scare.

Steph--same...glad it was not more serious! So here is the thing on my kids and injuries, etc. My kids never get sick. Never. None of them have ever had strep, the flu, or that ubiquitous "stomach bug" that seems to be the school nurse's mantra when a kids goes to the office sick ("well, there IS a stomach bug going around...". The only school my kids miss is for Disney trips...and when they get injured!

Nope, no regular run-of-the-mill illnesses here. BUT each of the three of them has had surgery (at least twice each....Kelly is more), they have all had stitches and/or broken a bone, etc. I swear, one more trip to the ER and I am going to have social services at my house!

I was at the playground a few weeks ago and a little girl fell off the monkey bars (she ended up being fine), but the mother was in a PANIC..."Omg she might have broken her arm!!!" I am not being insensitive here...I certainly get concerned when my kids get hurt. But this mother was far more hysterical that her kid! So I am trying to help out and keep her calm while another mother was checking on the little girl. And apparently I did not have the right words to soothe this woman. I said, "Listen, the absolute worst case here is that she broke her arm. And that is not life-threatening..." and on and on. Well, as soon as I said the she might have broken her arm, the mom just gets uncontrollable. And I am like, "What's the big deal? It's a broken arm...." :lmao: Just so used to stuff like that. Plus, I have a kid who had a true life-threatening illness, so broken bones...bah, no big deal.

Sorry for that tangent! But seriously Steph, glad Ty is ok.

Jeff arrived home safely last night, though not without incident. He missed his connection in DC and had to make all sorts of crazy plans in order to get back home. So he got here at 11 last night...and things could not be better! He had some sort of epiphany while away and well...things are just amazing. We had a long talk last night (and plenty of exercise as well...and we exercised again first thing in the morning and again just now. Steph, I am gonna need the points for all of that! :rotfl2: ). But seriously, we had this amazing talk and well... life is good here.

We are spending today getting a bunch of stuff done around here so that we can spend the week-end on the boat.

Ok, off to the gym....yes, for more exercise! :rotfl2:

All i can say is OH MY F****** GAWD! I have to show Dh these when he gets back from shuttling the kids! One going to school one coming home and one lost book bag! KIDS!:rotfl2:

WOW, Lyz! I would have killed to go that parade of homes! I can see why it is your favorite thing of the year! Thanks for sharing the pics! Yeah, I am going to have show J, too (he built our house).

:rotfl2: Ok so if EXERCISE IS OF LOW OR MODERATE THAT I SAY WOULD BE WORTH 1 =10 MODERATE = 2 FOR EVERY 10 MIN:rotfl2:

AS FOR THE BROKEN ARMS AND stitches I've been to the ER more times than I can't count with TY he went in at 10 months for drinking Jewelry cleaner. Then 2 months later because he could breath asthma attack. I was just pissed because they were told no playing (wrestling) up stairs because I knew this was going to happen because last time same thing and he had his head superglued in the ER.

lol...yup! Forgot about that one...my kiddo got his head super-glued, too! (for those not in the know...often times they now use this medical "super glue" instead of stitches! Jeff was like...ok, good to know. Next time I will just get out the crazy glue at home and save us a trip! :rotfl2: )

Insert Hallajuh Choir Here.   That is great news. Guess a little time away was a good thing.

We're not too sickly or break anything. So a trip to the er would scare me for sure.

Glad Ty is ok.

I have tons of comments, but I have decided I'm a phone person or face to face. This typing makes me crazy!
I have awful ER stories. Top 2: Sara at 5, watching Olympics, doing stunts, with me and DH watching her, round off, lands wrong, bone snaps, elbow dislocates, awful sound....I can still hear it. She never flinched or shed a tear, let the ambulance guy wrap it, she never knew her bone was sticking out until they took the cast off, I didn't either. My Dh knew better than to show us. Smart man.
Josh 10- Fine all evening we are watching ER. I go pick Sara up from youth, 3 blocks away. Jake(12) is home with Josh. 10 minutes later. Josh is leaving in an ambulance- Asthma attack-totally quit breathing, fell and hit his head. 7 days in an induced coma, total recovery. He could read, knew everything he knew before, could not do fine motor skills-writing, had to relearn all of that. We live blocks away from our fire dept. They know us there.
Glad Ty is Ok.

Lyz, love the pictures!
I'm not sure I could watch a movie with the creepy guys watching me.....

Off to eat lunch with my mom and Aunt- and I wonder why Im fat..... All anyone wants to do is eat!
Vicki

Okay, I am back from my geek conference for today. I managed to eat fairly well... filled my plate with salad and green beans, took the skin off a fried chicken breast, and had a few bites each of pulled pork and mashed potatoes.

Also, I was down 1.6 today to 163.8! Lowest weight yet!

Erika, I am so happy for you. :yay:

He is totally cute. But I can't believe that you let him on the furniture! :rotfl2:
