In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

What is with all the nice weather it is only 60 here and it is raining! Send some heat and sun this way!
Paula how is your way your going to be in your own weather climate soon! SL is always about 15 degrees different than here! Especially in the winter when it is 20 here it is 0-5 there! but summer are great!

I am not sure if that info is supposed to inspire me or scare me.... Right now, the storms that have been rolling up the coast are hitting here so it is rainy and stormy this morning. Once the rain clears, it is supposed to be hot, humid and generally miserable for the next week. I am hosting a 40th wedding annivesary open house on Sunday for my parents so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain. They are calling for the temps to be in the mid 90's so I better stock up on cold water for everyone...

On the plus side, I got to plan the menu so there is healthy food all around so I shouldn't be tempted to overeat. I am doing my four mile walk tonight, tomorrow and Sunday in an attempt to offset all of the crap I ate while in Maryland. I tried to be good down there, but the food choices we were given were less than stellar so I did the best I could.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. I am off to get some skim milk so I can eat my breakfast of Jenny Craig cereal, fresh raspberries and a cup of hot tea.

Talk to you later,
Paula

Same here...rainy and in the 60s but the heat and humidity are coming in for the week-end. My guess is we will spend the week-end on the water (stay on the boat) if it is truly that humid.

Just back from the gym and a boxing class. Today is a rest day from running (after yesterday, ya think???). But if anyone has the opportunity to take a boxing class at your gym...DO IT. I swear, it is the best workout imaginable. It burns about 800 calories! And LOTS of core work (so I don't have to do an extra core workout today).

But even better than all of that is the stress release. Any issues you might be having, well you just pound the ever-lovin' hell out of the bag and then leave all of that emotional junk right there on the gym floor. It is awesome. So cleansing!

Ok, gotta shower. I can't even stand myself....:rotfl2:

I love boxing... especially kickboxing, with the bag. So much fun.

It is currently 92 here... high will be 99 today and for the remainder of the weekend. It was 89 when I was on my way to work this morning, at 9:45.

I was 167.2 this morning... 1.2 up from my pre-WDW weight, but 8 lbs down from last Friday morning, so I will take it.

Hello ladies,

Just thought I would let you know I went to my first excersise class (Body Jive). My fear of being the biggest in the class was confirmed right when I walked in the door, but I still went in. It was a really fun, lots of moving, dancing, ball work, floor work, some yoga, thi che, and other things I know I looked redicules doing. I think the young girl next to me was either worried I was going to have a heartache or could not figure out how I was keeping up, she kept watching me. I was very proud of myself. :cool1:

I am sitting here with sore abs and many other muscle groups throbbing, but it's a good feeling. I am going to do her class 2 times a week, I also see my trainer 1 day and do weights 3 times a week. She said if I am going to be serious about losing I have to go 5 to 6 days a week. Yikes, better find some better exercise clothes or a few more as much as I was sweating today.

My weight is going down I can tell more in my clothes then the scale, that is a little frustrating, I wish the scale would move faster. I am down to 256 and down from a 24 to 20's I can just get my 18 teens up but not zipped.

working out more should help, my food choices are so limited that I don't think I am eating enough. One of you wrote about how you need more food to lose. I am going to try this powder drink in between meals to see if it will help.

Well, that's all for now have been reading, but not getting all the way through, I will catch up. Weather here has been rainy, cold one day hot the next. Lots of storms. :(

Take care all.

JODI!!

I am SO super proud of you! You GO!

Goddess status for you!

I was so so bad tonight.!!!! i had fried potato skins and then a sleeve of ritz crackers!!! yell at me please!

JODI! That is so awesome! Scary and you fought back! Way to go. I'm so proud of you.

And, maybe your scales don't work. Do you know for a fact they do. When I had gained 10 of my lost pounds back, a few years ago, I wasn't all that worried. Then my scales full on died. Said I weighed 18 lbs. Ok. So I buy a new set. Nothing fancy. And I had really gained 20 lbs. My old scales had been lying to me. Stupied Bi$#$@^!

I was so so bad tonight.!!!! i had fried potato skins and then a sleeve of ritz crackers!!! yell at me please!

Stephanie! That was very bad. (although I laughed out loud when I read it. I am in the same position all the time.) Very, very bad.

Seriously, Jodi--I have been thinking about you all evening and am just glowing for you! I have been a gym rat for most of my life (always into fitness....used to be a fitness trainer in a previous life, etc.) and often times I would have bigger folks come in for training (both men and women) and they were truly committed to losing weight...but they let themselves get intimidated by those at the gym. But not YOU!

Not only did you go, you stuck it out through the whole work out AND you kept on! Rock on, sister!

Remember the WISH team motto:

Dead last finish
beats
Did not finish
which greatly trumps
Did not start

And today you had the courage to start! Wicked proud, I am! :goodvibes

I was so so bad tonight.!!!! i had fried potato skins and then a sleeve of ritz crackers!!! yell at me please!

OMG--a whole sleeve??? Really?? Sorry, I am just giggling at that! :rotfl2:

Ok, now it is time for the butt-kicking! It is over and done with, so you can't undo it...BUT...you can PAY for it. With a kick-a$$ hard core workout. You owe me one tomorrow.

I'll make the same deal with you that I did with Paula...whatever you do for a work-out, I will match it (on top of my regular work-out). Burn those Ritz right off, baby!

Lyz, that is so cool! I have totally looked at those! Tell me how you like it. Greenie and her husband bought new bikes - road ones - and gave us their hybrids. Their "old" bikes are like 4 years old and in great shape, meticulously maintained. We are thinking about a trailer for Em, but she is turning four so how long is that going to be useful??? The family biking sounds nice, though.

Well, so far so good. Maddi and I went for a short ride this afternoon. Gus Macker is in town and the streets are closed off. So we took a look see. She was behind me and we could see ourselves in the downtown shop windows. And she talked the whole time. I'm not kidding; The. whole. time. I'm only catching snippets because it's too much to take in. Stuff like, "and it'll have a pretend bucket. With pretend straw for the pretend bucket. And elephants..." and on and on it goes.

I'd say it'll be good for a couple years. Up to 75 lbs.

Great news on the bike! DO the girls mind being at the office? Get those padded bike shorts that Nancy and I wear. They really do work.

The office is boring. They will play on the computer, color, fight, sleep, tv, fight-stuff like that. I could leave Molli home, but all she'd do is sleep and eat, and I don't want that.

Supposed to be 99 tomorrow... I don't think that 80 = 99 even with the extra weight!

Ok. I'll give you that one.

On the plus side, I got to plan the menu so there is healthy food all around so I shouldn't be tempted to overeat.

Paula, I'd like to hear the menu if you have time. Love hearing about party planning, espically the food.

I was 167.2 this morning... 1.2 up from my pre-WDW weight, but 8 lbs down from last Friday morning, so I will take it.

I guess so! Good job.

I was so so bad tonight.!!!! i had fried potato skins and then a sleeve of ritz crackers!!! yell at me please!

I'm going to reply in full later, but I just HAD to reply to Steph first!

Steph, you are on WW. You can eat whatever you want as long as you track it, girl! Best choices? No, but that's okay. It's only one snack, one night. If you bite it, you write it, right? So track it and use your extra points and it's over. No need to feel guilt!

In the interest of full disclosure, I had a small hot fudge sundae tonight - DQ, 7pts, part of my weekly points and...it was worth every bite!

You know I have never, not once, done a workout to make up for food - I do use my activity points sometimes, but not always. I just track and don't feel guilty and don't go over my point range for the week. Exercise is awesome and it makes me feel better, but I don't use it to make up for eating...just what works for me.

Promise me you tracked it and all is well! :rotfl:

Liz makes a great point (cause she is brilliant)...that is what WW is all about. It is a wonderful program because it allows for splurges or "mistakes." And she is so right that tomorrow is another day.

I default to exercise because it is my comfort zone (I know, Lyz is getting ready to hurl something at me...:rotfl2: ) and I feel in control that way. I feel out of control when it comes to food sometimes, but always in control when it is about exercise (if that makes sense?) so that is where my advice comes from. And I will stand by it if it will help you.

But I think the bottom line is...there is NO need to beat yourself up over something like this. You have made AWESOME progress and you will CONTINUE to make awesome progress. :goodvibes It is not like one bad night and you are gonna wake up in the morning with the 20 pounds back on! Not going to happen because of some flippin' Ritz! :rotfl2:

Gee girls I feel so much better and yes I did track my food (points). I also did al lot of packing today and lots of trips up and down the stairs so I got some exercise in and I am on my third bottle of water (20 oz) So I am good there plus I need all that water to flush out the salt from those ritz!!!
Last night I didn't count my points because the girls at here at work threw me a surprise party with yummy high cal food. and the stephen had dinner waiting for me when I got home, so i ate small at both and skipped the cake. Well I have another hour of work! I will probably get on AIM when I get home so if your on:wave2: :wave2: Say Hello

Okay, here is my big long reply!

Wow, 40 years! That is so cool. Next April is my parents' 40th - and my 10th. We talked about a big trip, but maybe we'll have a big party instead. Of course, I have to make it another year with this guy! :rotfl2:

So, the shindig is at your place? How many people are coming? Are you giving a toast?

Same here...rainy and in the 60s but the heat and humidity are coming in for the week-end. My guess is we will spend the week-end on the water (stay on the boat) if it is truly that humid.

Jodi, you are doing SO AWESOME! I am so impressed with you!!!

I feel like dying in the middle of every class I do, too. And I am sore for ages. But it's kind of fun, no? In a weird way. Ssshh...don't tell Erika, she will come after us to exercise more! :rotfl:

Well, so far so good. Maddi and I went for a short ride this afternoon. Gus Macker is in town and the streets are closed off. So we took a look see. OK, we so have to get Maddie and Emily together! That is totally my kid! :lmao:

The office is boring. They will play on the computer, color, fight, sleep, tv, fight-stuff like that. I could leave Molli home, but all she'd do is sleep and eat, and I don't want that.

Isn't that the beauty of being 12? Just doing nothing all day long in the summer? Sigh. The good old days.

Paula, I'd like to hear the menu if you have time. Love hearing about party planning, espically the food.

Yeah, me, too! Tell us about the food!!!

So, today I spent 7 hours helping my friend clean out her house...same person as Wednesday. We have two rooms cleaned out and 90% of another. There is still stuff to be gone through, like the closets and dressers, but the obvious junk is gone and the floors are vacuumed or washed. I introduced her to the beauty of Swiffer WetJet. ;) Next week we will hopefully finish the third room and get the playroom/front porch set up. Then it's onto the office, kitchen, kids' room, her bedroom. I took before and after pictures - I just had to, so we could see how much work we did!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. I am off to get some skim milk so I can eat my breakfast of Jenny Craig cereal, fresh raspberries and a cup of hot tea.

Talk to you later,
Paula

Super on the 4 mile walks, I enjoy my walking, but I do like having someone with me, I am a talker. This is no joke, I had a dream last night I was grocery shopping and I found the biggest raspberries ever like the size of a big strawberry. I know my sex dreams have come to a hault now its all about the fruits. :rotfl:

Boxing too
how do you stand up or even walk. You must be in terrific shape, the crown should be yours. Keep it up :worship:

I agree with the rest, just keep track and move on. I think every one has had a over indulge night.

I like the motto: And I would like to thank all of you for your surport and kind words. Everyone on here inspires me to keep on moving. I have a really long journey, and my abs really really hurt this morning, even to cough I have to hold my ribs. But it is a good hurt :woohoo:.

I'm going to reply in full later, but I just HAD to reply to Steph first!

See I love this, friends keeping friends on track. Wow did that sound like a drunk drive commercial.:)

I must have missed the story on Wed, who's house are you cleaning and are they moving? Or is it just spring cleaning in a house that sounds like they have a lot of stuff.

It was raining this morning, kind of nice to lay in bed and listen to. Now the sun is suppose to finally show, but I bet it gets really muggy today. going to clean house this morning, then head to the Y and pump some iron. Right now I have my three kids plus 7 extra's to feed, I promised them pancakes this morning and I finally hear some movement upstairs. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. :hippie:

Erika better NOT come after me to exercise more! I am already at 400 min for the month and it is only June 7th... and I am about to head to the gym. So there. :p

Not much to report here... going to be 100 today, fun stuff.

Morning all! It is a drop-dead gorgeous day here in Maine and we are water-bound (after I go for a run, of course!). Have a happy day and make good choices! :goodvibes

Morning everyone...

I have been reading for 1/2 an hour to get caught up....

Last week was end of school - I was up to my eyeballs helping Treyner and baylor esp..with last minute reports etc...

Chad who was a teacher...did not seem to remember that an adult responsibility is instilling homework guidelines...Baylor is trying to get away with whatever he can NOT do...and literally going to summer school because he failed math. Chad of course wants to say...I have no responsibility in this...and I am at my witts end of crying trying to make him see his lazieness is hurting the kids...whenever he has them for the night..Baylor gets 0 done...because they watch tv...or Baylor lies to him and says he has nothing to do...and Chad...knowing Baylor's math grade...doesn't doubt him....

Yesterday morning...Baylor had soccer...I had told him before I left the house to get his room done or no soccer in the morning....guess what was not done?

So i told him we were going to sit and not go until his sh!t was done..and surprise...he had it accomplished in 2 minutes...then we were in the car and ...I asked if he had rememebered to brush??Nope???? Then I will wait ...turned off the car..he ran in...and we were at the game with 10 minutes to spare...not 30 like he should have been...

And then Chad calls me...saying..I told you you had to leave at 8:45 to get there on time...I said...then maybe you should have enforced him to follow through with responsibilities...

Then I realize I am talking to the giant turd...who is not responsible...and need to get to the point I just hang up...because there is no reasoning with poop....

Have appointments Monday to move this divorce into FF...long story I do not want to share via boards due to Dan's ex reading....just please know...I have not been making great food choices...popcorn::
and the TR thread was a source of anything to look forward to..I just did not have enough energy to beat myself up last week about my weight...which I would have...

Soooo....last night saw Kung Fu....loved it sooo much...great lines...very inspirational...dealt with a fat panda and his belief within himself...even talks about emotional eating...I think I need to see it again... it was that good for me...

i will post more about it later...I am off to soccer with B again...we had a good day yesterday...just me and him the whole day...and stayed at Dan's empty apartment..to give us a day to talk and a day to try and influence him to understand he is cheating himself by his schoolwork...he is very smart...and I think it was one of the best days i have ever had in my life...

We do not get as much alone time....Treyner has taken over a lot of time lateley with college searches etc....
It was a good day...:thumbsup2

Now I need to take care of me...cause I am cheating myself...::yes::

Kat and EriKa and Liz and Jodi - great inspiration on weight - :goodvibes

Catch up more later...
