Please don't laugh. I Just bought a laptop for work, and will be bringing it to WDW (tomorrow! ). I understand that there is in-room internet access, but am now wondering how it actually works. If I plug into the cord supplied in the room, will I still have to have my own internet connection software on my laptop or will something come up putting me on to Disney's network (if that is the correct term?) :scared: Sorry for the dumb question, but just trying to see what, if anything, I need to install in terms of software. Thanks for any help you can provide!!!!

Something will come up that will put you on Disney's network. :-) I just went through this in December at the AKL. I had software for my AT&T Aircard installed on my laptop but I didn't use it (technical issues).

All you need to do is plug your ethernet cable (or use the one provided by Disney in the closet) into the back of your laptop, start up your laptop and then click Internet Explorer (or FireFox). In a short amount of time the web browser window will display the WDW HISA of the hotel in which you are staying. You just follow the instructions to agree to the amount charged to your room for HSIA for the day and you're off!

Oh, FYI, you can browse the WDW website at no charge while you're there.

I think it helps to see the setup, so here you go!
