They served rum punch on the ride back...it was soooo good

Then we had bushwackers...it is very popular on the island

We went on the Bacardi rum factory tour in Puerto Rico

They gave us each 2 coupons for a free drink...so we had mojitos at 9am

Then a rum and coke!

After the tour we went to El Morro in Old San Juan

Dad found an iguana

Some Disney touches in San Juan

That night we went to the Carnival colors party...each deck on the ship belonged to a certain team. We were on the red team. Here is Dad getting down with his badself on the dance floor...a true hightlight of the trip for me!

Our final stop was Grand Turk

They had a Magaritaville there which had it's own pool

Friday was a fun day at sea so we took the behind the scenes tour...it was very interesting! They delivered chocolate covered strawberries for us after!

All are wonderful.....you and dad both look fantastic on formal night, and enjoying all those yummy drinks (well the 9am one you look a little tired! LOL)

DH and I (and DS) visited Puerto Rico and the Bacardi factory 16 years ago (and I cannot believe it was that long ago, but DS was a teensy babe, three months old!)

my girls are on a winter retreat with church
so I am using my solo time to catch up on all the dvr shows I don't let them watch
like the View and Greys

today we had a swim meet in the neighboring STATE
yikes!
I would have liked to opt out
but DH said DS could use the practice time
get his times down so he may qualify for state's....
so we went

DS did well, he sees he does need to keep working!

PAD reminded me about the "give a day, get a day" Disney promo this year
and I just signed us up today
for the same on she is doing

you make blankets to donate to children's hospitals and other places
kids can participate, too.

I bought the fleece material at JoAnn fabrics today while we were in Ohio
we don't have a fabric store close by

I can't wait to get started
but it is a family project
so I need to have my family here!

my house is ina shambles again
last night DH and I went to Home Depot and bought primer and paint
and then moved all the furniture again
and taped off the walls and ceilings
and coated the floors with old sheets
and draped plastic over stuff...


DH got a primer coat on the ceilings in two rooms
and it looks great, bye bye water marks!!!!!!!!!!

DS has no "wheels" now
and he wants to go visit GF

DH and I are thinking of skipping church and painting instead...

then we need to pick up the girls at one (home from retreat)
so we want to get the ceilings done before they are home if we can

Happy to report the ceilings are now painted and working on drying

then tape removal, touch up if we made any oops, run the sweeper, and put all the furniture back! That wasn't too bad for a weekend project

and then we will get to move everything again once we decide on carpet....
