Oh dear! Sorry! Did you report it? Probably not a good chance of return, sadly.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to report it since this happened at the start of the holiday. Unless it was a real emergency, I couldn't make the call.

Every year, over the holidays, there are so many robberies since people know that most are synagogue for the evening, till late, and for almost the entire day during the day. We're also not really supposed to use the phone unless it's a real emergency. (and even then, many won't use it)

I heard some noise, but by the time I realized what was happening, it was too late. I screamed and banged on the windows, cutting my hand badly, but they just took off. DD and I were spooked all night (DS and DH were out for prayers). I still am!

I had a headache all day, too, Sarah.
It never morphed into a migraine, thank goodness
but I probably did serious kidney or liver damage with all the ibuprofin!

I am so sorry for you!!
I can't count how many Tylenols I have taken!

DD13 is making us crazy with all the homework
She has advanced everything, which is ridiculous.
Advanced basically means more work, in my opinion

Advanced Science, Advanced English, Advanced Math
etc
her schedule scares me!

I hope that it's just a matter of time before she gets more used to the new subjects and schedule. Good luck!!

and while I am on a school kick

DD10's teacher has really annoyed me today

she said to the class

"I am sick of this b and d reversal! That is a preschool skill, if you can't tell the difference you have no business being in fifth grade!"

I am putting DH on the warpath, he is to CALL and speak directly to the teacher tomorrow, no email letter, but actual conversation of how unhappy we are with comments like this.

Who says stuff like that? Only the ignorant.
DD10 was in tears.

I hope that DH gets this taken care of and puts the teacher in his/her place. The children don't desserve to spoken to with any less respect than the teachers expect!

DH had an interesting talk with the very defensive teacher. He was very patient and used his nice voice. She insists she was NOT talking to dd10, and she did apologize to DD10 (privately) today. She told DD10 she wished she had a whole class of DD10's, that she works so hard. (this pleased DD10) (it amused DH)

Cable repairmen left about 20 minutes ago.
They replaced the wires, which were outdated. We hope to have working internet service, permanently.

I just took another 2 Tylenol. Many of the headaches that I get last 2-3 days. Though, today, it is better than before.

It's pretty chilly right now. No heat yet.

Our temps are in the 50s in the morning and they go up into the 60s during the day. We are expecting 70s over the weekend.
