In and Out in a Day

Nancy - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much you love your furbabies!

Katie's party went very well. The girls all had an awesome time, and I had every mother call me, yesterday, to compliment me on the good time! I'm just glad it's over, and that we don't do parties like that every year! Whew!

Today starts our last week with Alan before he leaves for London. I'm not sure what he's got planned, but he really wants to cram in a whole bunch of family activities. We'll see.

I also need to make an appointment for Timmy to see a pediatric dentist. He had a problem with a tooth that we can't ignore for any longer. I really want to do it while Alan is here, because I'm a wimp when Timmy starts to cry. Wish me luck!

No idea on dinner, yet. It's all up in the air!

Hi girls

Nan ~ I am so sorry for your Sassy. It is so hard to lose a fur baby. Hugs (they moved it again and I can't find it)
I am so darm mad at your family for the way they are acting. Thank God for you!!!
Very glad and hopeful for Bud and his brother. I hope they work things out.

Glynis ~ Happy Birthday to Katie!! I can't wait to hear how her party went. It sounded fantastic!! You are such a great Mother.

Vic ~ Sweetie, I so understand. I really do! There isn't a Mother that is closer to her son than I am. It was so hard to let go. But you will and they will be ok. You have raised him right and he will always be your little boy - no matter how old he is. It is hard but you both will be ok!!!

I sound like a broken record. The weatherman even said so this morning. Some thing - HOT Hot hot!! No rain in sight and everything is burning up. We finally made the decision over the weekend that we are letting our yard go. We tried so hard to keep it up but there is no way we are winning. There are a LOT of yards completely brown - I guess it goes dormant so it will come back but it sure is sad. And the pastures are finished for the year also. We got word last week that the irrigation ditch will be turned off the 1st of August. The corn is tasseled and ears are on but the beans are in big trouble. We are just devestated.

Thanks again for the well wishes for Matthew and Liz. Things are back to normal - Thank Goodness!!

Make it a great day!!

Nan – I am so sorry you lost your sweet Sassy. That is one of the hardest things in this world to do.

Glynis – Hoping Timmy’s dental appointment goes well.

Ellen – Wish I could send you some of the rain we’ve been having, sounds like you sure could use it.

Out for now…..

Glynis - Katies party sounded like great fun.
What a great theme to have, I love the Beatles.
Did you get pics ?
Youse must to excited for London.
Its kickin in ower here...well in England anyways...not so much up here.
Its hard to feel part of it,there is football up here but the not so glamorous ties.
And with the cost rising daily its a sore subject...that and the whole " Britishness " of the thing.

Ellen - I know what you say is true.....but.
I also wish I could send you some rain, we have had awful weather.
Yesterday was the first in 32 days it stayed dry.

We are on holiay this week, no big plans , weather wont allow.
Today we went shopping, the boy has money burnin a hole in his pocket.
He wants new trainers, but they have to be a certain trainer.

I have a wedding on Saturday and had to get something to wear....it was a nightmare.
I dont do dresses....I hate dresses....I look stoopid in dresses.
I got so stressed the boy and Colin did a runner, they knew I was gettin ready to blow.
I didnt blow, I cried, I had to buy a size I swore I would never buy.
I would like to blame the crappy weather and some other " stuff " but the truth is I have eatin myself up a size by being a lazy bissom.

I now really, really, really hate dresses AND myself.

Good news is that C is doing great, still no pain and the blisters are starting to dry up,sorry TMI.

Glynis- I am so glad that the party went well. I still remember all those neighborhood parties you all had so I knew this one was going to be a winner!!!
Are you all ready for London?

Ellen- I have been worried about you. We have terrible heat here but it has been so much worse in your area. Buddy and I were talking about your animals and wonder how the drought is affecting them. Years ago when Buddy raised replacements he had to sell them all. It was so sad but the feed was way over what we could justify. Dan had two pretty heifers, a blue Holstein and a red one. It broke his heart. Anyway- I am praying for rain for your area as well as ours. Buddy is about to throw in the towel. We have a mountain between our home and his farm. That mountain affects the weather pattern somehow. If it storms sometimes the storm sails right over his little patch, other times we get nothing and it is crazy down the mountain. This time there was almost no rain down there and it is about over.

Vickie- I hate dress shopping too. I don't think it is the size, it is the material. There is a spandexy stuff in clothing that makes a dress fit way too snug............not always a good thing IMO :rolleyes1 Did you find something? I have to tell you I don't blame the guys for taking off. Buddy tried to shop with me one time and it was a disaster! Now I find myself sneaking new things in the house. Yes, I needed a larger size and I would have had to murder Buddy if he said one word so I bought things and brought them in when he was at work. This weekend I told him I was between sizes (I am:woohoo:) and that I was going to need to shop soon. He doesn't need to know the reason I am between is because had to add a size :p

Vickie - I feel your pain...I HATE dresses and I HATE shopping for clothes in general. I would take grocery shopping over clothes shopping any day!

I hope to be back later....

Hi everyone sorry I avent been in much life is a BIG mess.

Oh Vickie I also so do not do dresses. I'm proud of you for doing that not sure I could. So glad to hear C is doin better.

But he is only working 3 days a week when he has always worked 6 so hes crabby and doesnt know what to do with himself. (I cant wait for school to start so I can go back to work.) well enough complining so I'm out be back later I promise.

Good to see you my friend. I am so sorry for Brian. That has to be hard for him and for you!! Hopefully things start looking up real soon.

Glynis ~ Are there going to be pictures? This party sounds like so much fun. I am so glad Katie had a good time and her friends thought it a hit.

Nan ~ all of our babies are really suffering. And you are right. This might be the year that we sell it all off. Doug is talking the talk but we shall see. It is just so sad!!

Kat ~ I so agree - I would rather do anything than go dress shopping or even worse - swimsuit shopping. :scared1:

Glynis ~ Don't beat yourself up to bad. I just really think a lable with a size is a suggestion. I have clothes from a size 6 to 10. And they all fit in a different way. Sometimes a 10 is snug and a 6 is too big. Just find something you like and to heck with the size.

Elizabeth went for a run last night and brought the boys out. We had a ball with them. Liam is starting to wave bye bye, and blow raspberries. So cute. We have some new baby barn kitties and Ethan was in 7th Heaven playing with them.

I need to get to work this morning so I am out for now. You all make it a great day!!

Timmy's dentist appointment went pretty well. He had an IV for the procedure, so he's a groggy little boy, right now. The dentist had to pull one tooth, put in a spacer, and then he put sealant on a few other teeth that had cavities starting.

I think it was way more traumatic for me, than it was for him!

Dinner tonight is ham fried rice.

Quickly popping in.....glad to hear Timmy's appt. went ok, poor little guy.

I'll be back tomorrow to catch up!

Oh Sweetie, complain away! I keep hearing that the economy is doing better and the unemployment rate is going down but I don't see it. I feel so badly for Brian, it is terrible to be used to working a certain amount of hours and then have those hours cut. I hope things change quickly for him!

Terrible! The news said the drought in your area is the worst in 50 years. I should not be complaining about our area. It is no where near as devastating. I am so glad you enjoyed your babies! I bet they bring a smile to Doug!

Those barn kitties are adorable, aren't they? I am surprised that the kids can get close to them though. You must tame them really young!

Oh, poor baby! I remember Kady's issues with her teeth and you are right, the trauma does not stop with the children.

Yesterday was a crazy day. We tried to go tot eh beach but I don't do well sitting in the rain so that was a bust. Of course the sun was out by the time we got home. We took Kady to see Ice Age as a consolation. Cute!

When Buddy got home he called Kady to go swimming so off we went! He picked up Nola and Rylee. What a whirlwind those two are :dance3: They are just hysterical!

I have them on Sunday so Welby can go to a wedding shower. Nola informed her Dad that she needs Nana time with no Mommy there :goodvibes. OH, she makes me smile!

I am working to day and it is supposed to be cooler so I am happy about that!

Out for now!

HI girls

It's Friday - Yea!! This week has been brutal. I feel like I am wishing my life away at times. I can't wait for the weekends. :rotfl2:

Elizabeth has Liam in a Mommy and Me swiming class. So last night I went along and played with Ethan. We had so much fun bouncing around in the water. We played for an hour and 1/2. I did about 5 laps and believe me my leggies are hurting this morning. But in a good way. :thumbsup2

Nan ~ so sorry your beach day didn't work out. But the movie sounds good. Did you like it? I can't wait to see it.

Kat ~ Hi sweetie!! How are you today?

Glynis ~ I am so glad Timmy's dentist appointment went good. I agree it is always harder on us than it is on them. Hopefully this is it for awhile.
Are you getting excited for London?

Wishuponastar ~ Sorry :rotfl2: We are just a bunch of friends that keep in touch with each other. You are more than welcome to stick around and let us know what you are doing.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Stephanie called last night and might come for the weekend. Marty has a Bachlor Party this weekend (he's the best man) Stephanie does to (she is a bridesmaid, but can't bring herself to leave Lilly) and is thinking of just coming home. I told her to think really hard as we would love to have them.

Make it a great day.

Lauri – I’m so sorry to hear about Bryan’s job situation. Don’t ever apologize for talking about your worries my friend, that’s what friends are for, to listen and offer support and prayers. I am here for you always. I think I’m facing the same thing but I’m choosing to bury my head in the sand. Smh….

Ellen – I am so happy for you, having Ethan and Liam in your life. What a blessing! I would love to see them!

Nan – Gotta love that Nola wanting her Nana time with no Mom…priceless!!!!

Working from home this morning then hitting the gym this afternoon and dinner at a fairly new Sports bar right by the Superdome. Have a great weekend everyone, out for now.........

I just want to let those of you who were on the dinner thread....Alison's friend Arline took a turn for the worse and has been removed from life support. She just posted on the WFD>

Hi, y'all.

I miss you. WE miss you. I wish there were more hours in the day.

I'm stopping in for a REAL "in and out".

This summer has been SO busy, y'all. Between my dad's visit, J's birthday, traveling out of town, etc. etc. etc., and all of my cooking (*snort*) I haven't even had time to relax.

My summer vacation is 1/2 over.

Today I cooked and played with some new kitchen toys. We cleaned some, and we're ready for the weekend.

We have another short trip out of town planned for this week. And J has offered to take us to the movies...he wants to go see Spiderman. What a sweet kid. :lovestruc

UncleR is good. J and Big C are good. But, we spend a lot of time trying to escape the Texas heat.

Love y'all.
