DW and I run to WDW quite often just to get away. 5 trips this year so far. 4-2 nighters at CR and 1-4 nighter at POR 3 rooms with rest of family. What if any chance is there of getting a DVC room anywhere on short notice, 2 to 3 days, if no restrictions on where or what type room at WDW of course. I do understand weekend days would be a waste of points. We try to avoid weekends now just because of crowds.

Several people have reported getting reservations on short notice recently, so I certainly would ask. With the flexibility you have expressed, I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to find something (though multiple nights in the same accomodation may make things a little bit tougher). Except for days in "really high demand," like the Sunday night before a Federal Holiday, we've had a lot of success with last minute reservations for short, 1-2 night stays...

We've called twice and gotten ressies for the very night of our call.

And - it "is" possible to call the resort directly and arrange a point-stay, should MS be closed (like on a weekend.)

We had ressie for VB for months - and less than 72 hours prior to check in called and asked to change resorts to any WDW resort and we got a 1bdrm at okw - which is GREAT!!! GOOGLUCK!
