Now I'm not usually one to improvise on food prep.....not very creative, etc. when it comes to that type thing and really prefer to work from a recipe. Got home yesterday, started browning the ground beef.....get the can of Mamwich out of the cabinet......I knew it had been in there a while but noticed it expired in Oct 2008
.
Well, can't do hamburger as beef is already scrambled......look for some taco seasoning.....we sometimes do what we call taco burgers.....same as mamwich you just use taco seasoning instead and top with a slice of cheese and taco fixings if you like. Well, no taco seasoning.
What am I going to do?
So I get out the worstershire sauce (I know I probably didn't spell that correctly) and add a little to the meat, pour in a couple of TBSP of Heinz 57 sauce, sprinkle in some garlic powder and stir it up. Actually turned out really good. Personally I don't really like Mamwich but my family does, these were much, much better!!!!!
So what have you improvised on that turned out really great? Share your tips and recipes!!!!!
