IMPORTANT MESSAGE!! Is your stuff being stolen?? Im am sooooooo angry at the staff and vmk players!! everytime my i log off of vmk something is stolen from my file. idk who know my file info, but i talked to the staff, and wow big suprise! they dont care!! they dont even tell me how to change my account info! im so upset!
These are the things i lost
cowboy suit
pink dress
haunted mansion
blue dress
yellow dress
many more rare clothings
all my magic pins
(i have not even dared to look at the furniture)

I dont know if im more sad or angry, but if this has also happened to you, plz post ur story. Is anyone is willing to make any kind of donation, plz pm me. (i can understand if you dont, cause most ppl think im lying, but i swear, im not.)
Thank you for your time. maybe if the staff has enough complaints, that will knock some sense into them finally. but right now, im totally furious and sad. (maybe we should plot against the staff. lol just tring to lighten my mood)

Im really Sorry to hear that,Do you remember giving your account info away?It may be just a glitch,I've heard of people who log on there stuff is gone and a few minutes later they log on and it's back,believe me I've lost my friend list before.Try using the Contact us button on the homepage.Hope you can get your stuff back.

Rumor has it that there is a guy that knows everone's info. once he stole my caundy cauldron. but thanks to mewmewpwr, she got me on ( ty again mewmewpwr ) The staff has been tring to catch him, but no one seems to know who he is.

Click on Already registered

then type in the user name and the vmk password and it will take you to the next screen where you do the changes.

Changing your password will prevent others from getting onto your account. Remember not to let ANYONE know your password.

There is noone that "knows everyone's info" - hat "rumor" is quite false, if that was the case, he would be smarter about it and steal a little from everyone, not alot from one person. More than likely, you gave out your password to someone, or made it too easy to guess and a "friend" is stealing your stuff.

The rumor IS false, it simply is NOT POSSIBLE for someone to know everyones info. Period. Even DISNEY does not know your password. There are system safeguards in place to prevent that. I have been a computer technician for 20 years. There is simply NO WAY for someone to gain access to that kind of information EVEN IF HE HACKED THE DISNEY SITE.

In order for someone to go on to your acccount and steal your stuff, 1 of 2 possibilities exist.

A) you either game someone your password or used somekind of 3rd party program to access VMK, which in turn sent it to the person in question.

B) your password is easy to figure out to someone who knows you. For example, you used your phone number as your password, your dogs namee, your birthday.

If it isnt A, then it must be B and if it is B, it is someone you know, probably someone you trust or used to trust.

There are ways to make sure nither of these things happen to you:

1. Dont give your password out opr type it in any site other than VMK. And make sure you are actually ON VMK by looking at the address in the address bar, it it starts our with anything but VMK.com or secure.disney.go.com you are not on the disney site.

2. Dont use 3rd party programs or overlays, like VMK Pal - I realize everyone says "oh VMK pal is fine" etc etc - but Really, how do we really know? It is a 3rd party program which STORES YOUR PASSWORD. the original creator probably is on the level, but what is to stop others from creating hacking programs for VMK Pal?

3. Dont make your password so easy! If your favorite color is blue, and your password is blue, anyone who knows you could figure that out after a few tries. Make your password something which has little or no connection to your life. And always make sure passwords are an ODD NUMBER of charachters. Such as 7 or 9 charachters, not 6 or 8. Always make sure your password has at least one letter and one number in it.

4. Change your password once in a while, dont use the same one forever.

I believe most of these points are covbered in the Sticky post "Internet Safety" but really, you cannot say these things enough.

What mtlhddoc2 said is true. You may not use VMK Pal, but VMK Pal is an easy hacking target for experienced hackers. Be sure to change your password, and since you are a target, change it frequently. I have changed my password because some stuff was taken (not rare though) from my account. I've never given out my info, but I know my brother blurts stuff out. So I changed it and he doesn't know it. You can never be too sure about something...

VMK Pal may be safe. I really cannot say for sure. Certainly the person who created it may have made a perectly safe program. But there may be someone who wrote a hack program for it as it is a relatively simple program.

Also think about this.

Do you use VMK pal to store your password? Or is you password stored in any way so you dont have to type it? AND - do you have an brothers or sisters or friend of yours or theirs which are left alone with your computer? If you answered yes to any of these questiosn, then you probably already know how your stuff got stolen.

this happed to me. I NEVER GAVE OUT MY PERSONAL INFROMATION! But I lost all my stuff, besides for the stuff I had on me. Later it was my friend that scammed me. He came back on and gave my stuff back.
