Important Dining Information!!!

Anyone know how tough it is to get into Nascar Cafe? I noticed they weren't on the list of restaurants taking ressies/PS. Planning to spend one day at IOA, and would like to do lunch/dinner at Nascar and Margarittaville. May try for a PS for lunch at Margarittaville, but afraid the wait may be too long for dinner at Nascar. Any advice???

Hi, I just tried to get a PS for dinner for Mythos on April 27th and they said that it closes at 3:00. The park doesn't close that night until 8:00. Does this sound right to you?

Thanks, Karen

Yes, that's correct. Mythos usually closes at 3:00 P.M.

We've only eaten dinner at Mythos is July. The parks are open until 10:00, so Mythos is open for dinner then.

Most of the year it closes at 3:00 PM, at least the times I've walked by. I'm assuming it's open later during the busy times like summer, Christmas, or spring break times. In late April it isn't busy.

I was at Mythos just last week (4/20?) and my family of four walked in w/o a ressie at 12:00 noon and was seated immediately. The restaurant was only about 40% full. The food was excellent!

And on the same topic....on our last day (Sat) we went to Disney and had lunch at Cinderella's Castle w/o a ressie. We showed up at 1:30, put our name in...waited about 20 mins...and was seated! Best part was that while eating, it started raining outside and stopped about 5 mins after we swere done. We walked out and got front row standing for the Parade which was just about to start.

I should have played the lottery last week too!

BarbaraMB,
The first time we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, we went to have dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. The line wrapped around the building. We went up to the front door and showed our key and were seated in five minutes. When we stayed on site last summer, Hard Rock Cafe had a sign for a separate entrance for on site guests. The room key works wonders.

Does this still hold true??? Off to read posts from 2005! (the above is from 2003 lol)

from my experiences for eating at hard rock cafe, it is very crowded on the weekends, mainly on saturdays.......

show your room key or magicorlando card and you get priority seating.

during the week for the evenings it is not much of a line unless you go right when the parks are emptying out.

for the last , say, 8 years i have had dinner there, never had a longer wait than 15 minutes.

it's a great place to eat at.

Thanks bunches!!! I am glad US/IOA's onsite hotels are so small... they can really afford to take care of their guests!

I have a question & hopefully someone can help! How's the food at NBA City?
You know, what type of food? & if it's pricie(money is no prob.) I just want to know.

I'm also curious since we're headed next week & my DH wanted to try NBA City. The menu looks pretty good. Here's a link for the menu, it was updated Oct. 2005 so it's pretty recent. Hope that helps !

I thought I read somewhere that you can get a dining discount by showing your AAA membership card. Does anyone know/experienced this?
