Sorry for the troubles you have had, but thank you for the head's up!

We are going at Christmas and have a waitlist that I am hoping still comes through. We just got invited to do the magic bands but I don't want anything to lost or potentially not get the waitlist sooooo I am thinking of just waiting until the beginning of Dec. to activitate magic bands etc... I have dining reservations already in place including Christmas day that I really don't want screwed up. SO going to try to be patient even though I can't wait to order the magic bands etc....

I agree and if I had it all to do over again knowing what I know now, I'd likely do the same thing. The only downside are hard-to-get FP on e-Ticket attractions which will likely be gone at the 30 day mark, especially around the time you're going.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't at this point. It all depends on how lucky you feel, I guess.

I only want to comment on the availability of FP+. Last Wednesday, I decided to try for a FP+ for TSMM for yesterday, Sunday. I hadn't realized that the Osborne lights would be lit. I got a FP + for the perfect time! The window opened an hour after our ADR at Cape May Cafe.

The other FP +, which I didn't ask for, were for TOT and RocknRoller Coaster. So less than a week out, FP+ were available.

That was great that it was available and worked for you but December and Christmas/NYE are a whole different thing. It will be interesting to see if FP+ are available to make same day or a couple of days out during that time.

Bingo on the above. I'm sure it all depends on the how busy those particular days are.

Having said that, my MBs arrived today and all in my correctly selected (again) colors. We shall see where the truth lies on the 29th.

So sorry to hear about these problems. I'm a bit nervous of doing the online check-in; it seems like any additional interaction with Disney's IT increases the odds of something bad happening to all my MDE reservations and the 3 linked DVC reservations I have next month. I think I'll just wait to check-in in person and keep my fingers crossed that we won't loose our linked tickets or FP+s just by using the darn MagicBands to enter the room! (I love the other poster's "Tragic Band" reference.)
