iMac or iBook....I'm SO CONFUSED!

I've narrowed to the imac desk top or the ibook laptop and can't decide. I have minimal needs, just internet and email, photography etc so either would be plenty of machine. The price is the same...but can't decide if I should keep a laptop or just get the desktop. I don't currently move around with my laptop often but it is hard wired to so many thingshte new one wouldn't that it wouldn't be the same hassle. But, I really probably don't NEED a laptop and the desktop is the newest technology and a much faster processor.

Any opinions? Has anyone switched from a laptop to desk top and hated the desktop. Does anyone LOVE the new dual chip imac?

I switched from desktop to laptop and I love it.

I have some co-workers that love their new intel imac. I also like the new intel mac mini. If you always use your computer in the same spot, go with the imac, if you want to go wireless and move around, get the laptop It's really a matter of personal preference.

One good thing about the laptop, it can travel with you. I use mine to get the pics off my digitial camera daily.

I just can't decide. Does anyone have the newest ibook and feel like it can't handle or isn't powerful enough. The most I do is get online, print digital photography and word processing for which I will probably have them install Microsoft Office. Any more opinions?
