I’m taking another gut punch today - my oldest DD, the one who’s husband stole her from us is having her 2nd baby today - a little girl. I found out about it from others and social media. Another grandchild I’ll rarely see - I haven’t seen my 16 month DGS since last January. Life can really throw you some curve balls - sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a bad way.

I'm so sorry.....can't imagine not seeing my grand kids.
Sometimes I want a break, but so glad they are close and visit a lot

Good morning all,
I came back from Omaha, and then immediately had to go to Denver. While I was in Denver I found out my brother passed.
So, my Dad came to visit as soon as I got back and we are planning his celebration of life.
It just seems to never stop around here. there is always something pulling me in a different direction.

I have been away, and was to board the DCL Wish today, but I had an eye problem pop up, and a bad cold clinched the deal, and I came home after our family cruise on the Dream.

When we landed, we got a text from the kennel that Gus has been having digestive problems, and they called the vet.

Lots of things to deal with here.

It’s not a cold. We both have Covid. Off a cruise yesterday, but tested negative a week ago. Guess we got it on the cruise.

Oh, Gus is rallying, with some meds. We will meet with vet once quarantine is over.

It happens. I caught it on our cruise too. And brought it home to DH.
Mine was very mild, his not so much because of his lung issues.
This variant that is going around now is the most contagious.

I hadn’t remembered that you had it, and your DH. Has he recovered? DH is sleeping soundly, I can’t.

Yes, he felt like he had the flu for a couple of days. Then just the cough.
He got a couple prescriptions for that and now is normal. It took him 2 weeks to feel better.
I just felt like my allergies were there.....normal for all summer.
I didn't test until he got sick and found positive. The only real symptom for me was fatigue.
Hope you are doing all right with it.

My DSis is on the Wish, she had Covid less than 90 days ago, so, she had the release letter, not a test. Her DHoney feels good. He’s in NJ, not on the Wish. So, it’s only DH and myself who are ill.

We both are tired with different cold like symptoms.

DD, DGS and DGD had it around Easter and went on the cruise. They got tested.....didn't need a letter.
They didn't catch it again. I guess with this new strain you can

I’m grateful for all your thoughtful replies in regards to DD24. Sadly, as long as she’s married to her husband there will be no reconciliation - he or his parents won’t allow it. It’s almost like she’s trapped in a cult - she’s so brainwashed. Enough from me about this - what will be will be.

Gus is doing very well for now we need to learn exactly what we should expect going forward.

Tom and I are tired and still with mild cold symptoms. We slept a bit this afternoon. Gus has a dog bed in our bedroom, he took a nap too.

Gus is a Black and Tan coonhound, and average life expectancy is 10-12 years. We adopted Gus when he was 5, and he’s now 10 1/2, plus he has had cancer and undergone chemotherapy. Gus’s body is tired.

They will be fun for our family trip in Oct. (but $$$)

Bobbi, I am so sorry for what is going on. Keep napping, and maybe read a trashy novel while eating ice cream. Good thoughts your way for all of you to recover soon.
And please, give Gus a good belly rub for me. I hope he is okay....by the way, what happened to his "new" hot dog toy? Demolished or is he still enjoying it?
