I'm.........

Great news!
Yes, am very happy! Can get on with life!

i am also happy because today I saw a “baby” goldfish. They are brownish green, and usually they don’t make it to be this large because they get eaten. I look every day when I feed them, but today I saw it!

....two of my fish were preggers but non of the babies survived...:sad1:

Bobbi, great photo - very relaxing. Are your taste buds back? If not, eat all the icky-tasting healthy foods now! :teeth:

Getting my classroom ready for students next Thursday. Had a wolf spider in my sink, thank God my son was there helping out! Spider is now enjoying the playground while staying away from the mower.

Hey all….it’s seems like forever since I’ve stopped by - life has been busy.

I’m excited that Katie joined The DIS, but I’m not sure how active she’ll be, especially once she’s in school. She barely posts on Facebook or Instagram so she’ll be more of a lurker than a poster - LOL!

I’m trying to jam as much fun time as I can with Katie before she goes to school - move in day is 8/19. I think we’re going to take her to Chicago on Sunday for her annual bday dinner, so that will be fun.

Have a Good Friday everyone!

Well, I post a lot here, but don't do any facebook, instagram or any other social media.
But school is more important anyway. What is she going to study? How far away will she be?
The kids here go back to school the 4th (which is DS's birthday). It will be quite an adjustment for them.
They wear uniforms to this school and so far DGD only has one shirt. The rest have not arrived...and their washing machine is leaving gray residue .....not good for $30 shirts. I may be doing their uniform laundry until they can figure out what is going on with their washer.

Thank you for asking🙂

Biomedical Engineering - this is a tough degree, especially with being an athlete. She’s up for the challenge - we’re super proud of her.

She’s not to far - about 2 1/2 hours. The drive is very easy, so she can come home whenever she wants. I think we’ll be going there more - I don’t think she’s going to have a lot of spare time.

Good for her. And good luck to her. College was a challenge.
My DD went to college 5 hours away and it was a boring drive after going over the mountain. She only came home every month or so and we went a couple times a year.
DS went across country for 2 years. Only came home on major holidays and summer. Then changed to an in state college about an hour away.

I’m in the month I’ve been dreading for years - August 2022.
Why? Because Katie leaves for school this month.
As many know, we are like peanut butter and jelly.
I’m very excited for her though - great great things are ahead for her.

We booked a girls WDW trip for June, so we’ll get some quality mother & daughter time then - something to look forward to - we will have an absolute blast!!!:mickeyjum

Yes, it is a hard adjustment.
We started doing mother/daughter trips (long, short) every year when my DD was about 5 and still do them. Now sometimes a grand kid or 2 will come along (the grand kids are DS's) but we want them to do things. This year was the Alaska cruise that the 4 of us went on.

That's how far DS is as well. I call 90 minutes to 3 hours "the Goldilocks zone" - far enough that you're not expected home for Sunday dinner every week, but close enough to get home (or get there) for anything that's really important. :goodvibes

Excellent!

Hi! We head to WDW August 29, for a fun trip before our health procedures in September. We have a MNSSHP and DVC Moonlight Magic in AK. We will see our Florida friends, Bev and Tom and swim in my favorite pool, SAB.

After this, our next Disney fix is the cruise that’s in my timeline.

We do have a Dollywood trip planned in November. We have friends who live in GA and this will be our third attempt to get together for Dollywood’s Christmas celebration.

We enjoyed our trip to swim club this morning. Fun exercises in water and a chat with friends. Things are good here in Cape May.

Gus has continued to be normal as far as eating, eliminating and general activity level. He brings us toys to throw, and when he’s done, that’s it. :dogdance:
