I'm.........

wow....how long did it take them poke the needle....so standard finger poke to swab blood to drawing blood....last time I looked like that was preparing for chemo needle...we have poor pokers here in yuma
...actually, it was very uneventful.....didn't even hurt at all. She punctured the skin, draw one vial of blood, and then put on a bandaid...took less than 2 minutes.

I’m happy to be back in NJ! Uneventful Dental check up today, hopefully uneventful eye dr visit tomorrow!

Dyed some Easter eggs, and weeded my small strawberry patch. Plenty of flowers already on the strawberry plants.

Well, DS got Covid :( He won't be here for Easter.
Everyone else in the house tested negative, so he is in isolation at home. When everyone was gone, he moved a TV into the guest room, so he is set for days.
Vaccinated and boosted too :( Hopefully it will be mild. He said he just felt like bad allergies (which he has all the time) and then a fever hit

researching my purchases from estate auction...empty, tired crowd.....real off season deals...thank goodness I read the start time wrong our would have come home with more, but happy with finds....according to my research the 25 sets of bolo tie parts are worth 4.00 each, have 25, paid five dollars for the lot, not to include the leather string. and a gallon jar of bottle openers... paid 10.00....early appraisal 200.00 to 500.00 of bottle openers.

I’m sorry to hear this.
I hope he feels better soon :wizard:

I’m DREADING today.
I‘m in charge of the cookout at Katie’s games today, which will be all day, and the temperature will be 36 degrees when we start and never get higher than 48 degrees today.
I am so tired of being cold and doing a cook out in cold windy weather is awful.

This is my day (yes, I’m whining - LOL)
8:00am - arrive at the field
4:00pm - leave the field
4:15pm - pick up my mom’s birthday cake
4:45pm - go home, get ready for church and eat dinner
7:00pm - arrive at church
10:30ish - come home from church
Then I’ll be up until midnight to get ready for tomorrow.

My whining is now over - LOL!

Slo I would hate being out in the very chilly wind. I hope you are busy enough that the day goes by quickly.

Here, our pond fish are still dying. There’s one more floating this morning. There’s some sort of parasite I think. We will add more Kosher salt today as it seems to have helped some of the fish.

I’m sorry to hear this.

He has a lot of medications to take, so hopefully that will get rid of it fast.
Sad he is vaccinated, boosted and wears a mask most of the time. The only time he doesn't is at work with his own little work group......4 of them.

That is a long day.
It is warm here.........all my prep work is inside for tomorrow.
DGS is taking DH out to lunch today (it was one of his birthday presents).
DD is driving them and she is taking DGD to her first archery class today since DS can't. DIL is taking them to swim lessons this morning,
DS loaded DGS's wallet with money so he can actually pay for lunch :teeth: He is so excited.

Are you DGC old enough so they could be vaccinated?? I hope these are mild cases.
The grand kids are both fully vaccinated and DIL has also had her booster.
So far they only have cold like symptoms.
DGD is still sleeping. If she is negative, she comes here  That is a lot for us. She is a handful, but we will manage.
We'll see in an hour or so

Thanks, we'll see what happens.
We leave for DLR next weekend, so we're trying to be extra careful.....not that we aren't careful anyway

Well, DGD is positive also.......kind of good. They family can at least stay together.
DD will test again tomorrow before she comes to Easter.....we are down to 3.....but I am making everything and taking a lot of it over to them in the morning......baskets and egg hunt stuff too.

And Slo...Yikes! Bundle up, don't forget to breathe, and after church - take time for you! Go hide in a closet and eat a Peep or some chocolate.
We're supposed to hit 90 today. Too hot for Easter!

Happy Easter!

Yesterday went somewhat smooth. It’s been so darn windy here that it was hard to keep burners lit, food warm and stuff from blowing off tables. At least it was dry - thank God!
Katie had an awesome day at the plate. She played 3 games and had her first 2 home runs (#41 & #42 career totals) since her knee surgery, multiple hits and RBIs. She needed this to build her self confidence - she was feeling a little down in the dumps because her rhythm was off and she wasn’t hitting like her normal self.

We didn’t get home from church until 11:00pm and I just went to bed - I was so tired. So I need to get myself moving in a few minutes to finish my Easter preparations.

@Meriweather - I’m so sorry to hear about your family having COVID. I pray that they feel better soon.

I have the baskets and eggs for hiding packed up.
Need to get their food boxed.....and find our if DD is coming here. Hope so, she is the egg hider.
I need to finish a couple of things for here too
