I'm.........

....I went through a 6-day dosage of the steroids and felt GREAT within the first day - so much so, that I didn't have to even take Tylenol. However, the last day was on Tuesday, and Thursday the symptoms returned, each day a little worse. He gave me a second round of meds (sorta like a Z-Pac) in case it's from a virus. However, he strongly suggests I see a Rheumatologist. There are some [obviously] serious side-effects with these type of meds, but this disease could affect my arteries, and could be inked with cancer.....my doctor is an internist, and he's pretty much on-the-money when diagnosing. We're both hoping it's just the last remnants of a virus...

Oh, Kim! This sounds so like DH in 2012 even though his was eventually diagnosed as a virus with heart and lung complications. He was on cortisone for 18 months I think and gout meds etc. and he was under the care of a rheumatologist, pulmonologist, cardiologist and so on. Every time he went off the cortisone he relapsed and even with extremely gradual weaning he did not get off them for almost 2 years.

Definitely see any specialist recommended by your primary as well maybe an infectious disease doctor. Your symptoms could indicate a number of different things.

My thoughts and prayers for you .

The Sinner is only 9 episodes. We're watching it. Last episode is next week. It is odd and confusing to me.

I just watched all the seasons (7 of them) of Blue Bloods.
Just finishing the last of Justified....that's on Amazon
I like all the superhero ones Netflix has....Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and then Defenders.
Also Stranger Things.

...than you....my doctor seems to think that it originated from a virus.....too many unanswered questions though....

....well that's just it....within 24 hours, I felt SOOOOO much better, but just 3 days after the last dosage, the achiness started up again....I called him [dr] back and he was explaining how my "ced" count (?) was elevated and that I presented all the symptoms....I think there were traces of muscle protein in my blood too....so, I had to get a refill and now I am starting that 6-day dosage again....after that, we have to see how it goes - next step is a rheumatologist.

.....funny thing is, it's not excruciating or anything, but a constant dull, achy feeling....remember back-in-the-day when we got birthday punches? It's sorta like that, but just never goes away. The hardest thing is the getting out of bed in the morning, or sitting on the toilet [or getting up again]....TORTURE! I have a Ford Explorer and I actually have to lift my left up with my hand to get into the car...

I am reading "My Pride" by Alton Fitzgerald White. This book was given out on DVC's Member Cruise. He was from Cincinnati, and I have enjoyed all of the performances I have seen with him on Member Cruises.

Good choice of a gift, DVC!

I'm supervising Tom making dinner, meatloaf! I am looking forward to a home cooked meat, veggie and potato meal cooked for me!

I agree about The Sinner but it started to make sense to me by the most recent episode. It is a bit odd but intrigues me.

I might do Blue Bloods soon but I have seen episodes here and there over the years; always good!

Haven't seen any of the superhero one yet but Justified is on my list.

Only one episode of Sinner left. Should wrap it all up.

Needed a short series to watch now since all the regular ones come back next week. So watching Fortitude.

Blue Bloods was enjoyable.....long seasons. I binge watched. I always try to see what they are having for Sunday dinner :rotfl:

Dis is back in slow mode for now

I'm watching the rain that's here from Jose. It's not particularly windy. We are not by the ocea, so I do not see how big the waves are.

Well, we did not get much rain, and for the most part, it is cloudy and windy! So, we got the winds.

I am reading. Tom is going out to submit some travel insurance forms to the doctor. We had to cancel our EBPC cruise that we booked nearly 2 years ago. We had passed the paid in full date. Now we hope to recoup the rest of the money. DCL refunded 50%, we need the rest, now.

I've got one more episode of El Barco.
I see season 4 of Blacklist is available so guess I'll continue with that. Have tried watching a few episodes of Last Man Standing but it is leaving Netflix on the 30th so don't want to get hooked on it.

Currently reading Christ The Lord--Out of Egypt by Anne Rice.
