I have no doubt that Kate will desperately try and find another show, but other than doing one more round of some talk shows about the end of her show, I'm just not seeing it. She filmed the pilot for the "Kate Tries Some Mediocre Jobs" series idea, but the networks passed. Yes, she was on DWTS, but that show already had excellent ratings on its own (before and after). I didn't watch any of it, but I understand that Kate didn't exactly Wow them on The View... so I don't see a talk show in the offerings. Another problem dogging her will be the recent viewership history that points to the general public tiring of the Gosselin family... and that includes Kate. So what type of show do you think that Kate would be well suited for? About the only good fit for her would have been Hollywood Squares, if it were still around. And who's going to offer her a show with the kind of $$$ that she's been reportedly getting over the last 6 years???

Do you have a partner or are you a single mom of seven (did you have multiple multiples?) I don't care if she's an obvious shrew, that doesn't mean she can't be stressed out by life and a houseful of kids. I am very grateful to not be in her shoes . Her life is no bowl of cherries, whether self imposed or not.

There are plenty of single moms worse off than Kate is. The ones who don't have their children's father around, due to death, deployment, lack of interest or whatever. Kate has a nanny and the kids spend time with their dad. She gets plenty of "me time", as her toned and tanned body shows. She is photographed all the time out running, coming out of the gym, shopping, at the salon etc. Alone. There are MARRIED moms who don't get that much time to themselves. I know I didn't.

I just found this thread! I was an avid follower of the Jon and Kate thread back when they were constantly in the tabloids and Jon was found to be having an affair. I stopped watching the show and really haven't been on these boards much. I was SO relieved to hear that the "show" is FINALLY cancelled!!!

Unfortunately, I doubt the kids lives will get any better as they still have that thing for a mother. But at least the freak show is off the air.

SO, I am skimming through the thread and I noticed that everyone seems ot feel the same about Kate. Back on the old thread that lasted over a year - the thread finally fizzled out because we had supporter of Kate (some of us thought it was Kate herself - since she was such a fanatic) that would relentlessly go blow for blow on EVERY post defending Kate. It was exausting. This person even had a few extra identities set up to agree with herself and make it look like they were the majority. I'm not noticing any Kate supporters here, is that true? Either the Kate lover saw the light, or if it was Kate herself - she got too busy to come on and spin lies?

She used to be....when they made the church rounds and collected love offerings. Good luck with that now! although SHE thinks she is extremely motivational, and I'm sure she will try.

I don't mind Kate- but don't feel the need to defend her either.

I do find it ironic that those who find the show so vile and repulsive know so much about it.

I also do not know why her ex Jon has to pay child support. I am all for dad's doing their parts, but she makes way more that he does. I can see him putting money in for college, but the daily expenses should be on her dime.

He probably pays a percentage of his income, as he should. I'm shocked to see a post like this in this day and age.

When the show first came out, when they lived in their old house, I enjoyed it. As things wore on, I just couldn't stomach how she treated John, how he was so spineless and how she yelled and micromanaged everything. It just kept sinking further. I stopped watching it but dd would sometimes watch until she too got sick of the repetition of Kate yelling and looking like the proverbial bad guy.

I would always wonder, was Kate a witch because Jon was sap, or was John a sap because Kate was a witch?

We (dd and I) were both done with the show long before Jon got caught being a cheater.

Kate to me is the symbol of how reality shows change the "real" people into some sort of celluloid celebrity and seldom for the good. She has had plastic surgery, hair extensions, and gone from an overstressed mom to a diva all because of a 30 minute show that started out very fun to watch.

I hope they really are done and that those kids somehow manage to lead normal lives.

Jon never cheated, Kate did.

I saw pictures of him sneaking out of his girlfriend's place at dawn. Now, that's not proof he was fooling around of course but it WAS dawn, he WAS trying to hide, and there WAS a young lady living there. Odd way for a devoted husband and father to be acting, you'd think he'd be home helping get the kids ready for their day.

Me and some ladies from the church I attend all went to see her speak one time!! That was really the turning point on my not liking her too much.

This is an interesting post, since you accused me of this very thing on one of the earlier threads. If I am still the person you are talking about, I have one id..have only ever had one id. I have never posted under any other ID, even though you said I did.

I ask the same question I asked then. Why is it I can't say I just don't hate her, but it's ok for people on this board to use swear (by blocking out letters) words to describe her, quote as fact that she has had surgery, is having an affair with her security guy, say she doesn't love her children and they should be taken from her, diagnose her with all sorts of mental issues, etc. I refuse to apologize for not hating someone. As I have said, I wish she had done some things differently, but I truly believe, if more people hated her than liked her, and stopped talking about the shows she is on, might be on, posting on hate sites, she would go away.

It's posts like this that really remind me of the hate sites. They say things like the below..and I just wonder, where do they come up with 'facts' like this? That's what makes it hard for me to believe any of the 'facts' they come up with. It's always 'someone said'. Like you saying someone has multiple ID's. I guess that's better than you having to believe that several people didn't hate her. I find that says a lot.

I still stand by what I said. Unless I'm given proof that Kate was having an affair with a married man or any of the other accusations given, I go by what I see and what I know. I know this show is over and I hope the kids are done, yet, I still hope Kate is able to get a job that will make her happy and the kids continued to be supported...even once the contract is done and their mom and dad both stop getting a paycheck from TLC. I will never believe the hate sites that day Kate's kids are not loved by her.

I too hope Kate can support herself and the kids. I'm sure that once she gets another nursing job, sells the expensive Audi sports car, sells the mansion and moves into a more affordable home, she and the kids will be just fine.
