Is this song (show/parade) still being performed at Disney?
We were there in December, and I was hoping to see it (I love this song), but I don't recall seeing any mention of it. If it is still being shown, when/where/what is it?
Thanks

That's the show where they are on the trolley, right? I don't know exactly when they do it but I've personally only seen it earlier in the day (like before noon). They just did it on Main Street, kinda in the middle of the Emporium and the jewelery shop I think..

It's a Christmas Parade. We love it too.

Hey, where did you take the picture of Steamboat Willie?

Thanks, Denise

When we were there last June, the did it in the mornings, shortly after opening. I think we were by the Bakery.

The picture of my kids with Steamboat Willie was taken at the back of Town Hall. If you enter Town Hall, and then go all the way to the back of the building you will find some tables set up, and a couple of stages. In this same area there are 3 or 4 different cut-outs that you can pose with - Snow White, and the 7 dwarves, Steamboat Willie, the 101 Dalmatians, and a rocket ship. It is almost somewhat of a secret place (I learned about it here on the DIS), because no matter how busy it seems to be outside, there is almost never anybody in there. Also, you are allowed to eat at the tables. So if you want a nice quiet place to eat, get some food, bring it back there, and enjoy a peaceful meal. I believe the stages are also used occasionally for shows, but we didn't catch that, so I'm not sure.

No need to guess.

This is a great site to keep BOOKMARKED for future reference.

The following site posts the stage shows, in-park and other on-property shows and their times for the CURRENT week.
(It is updated every weekend.)
The times may be "similar" for other dates as well.

Near the top of the page,
click on the colored links for the various parks
and their show times.

Be sure to check back to the site as the actual dates of your trip get closer.

The name of the show you are discussing is the Main Street Trolley Parade.

Here's this week's sched.-
Main Street Trolley Parade
Daily at 9:25, 10:15 & 11:00am

If you don't mind a spoiler, here's a version of the whole show I shot (one-camera) last year-

Sorry that the quality must be so severely reduced for posting on the web.

At about 10-am ish - On January 30th, they were doing it...

:goodvibes

I think you're talking about the Main Street Trolley Parade, which is done daily at 9:25, 10:15 & 11:00am.

Wow!

Must be an echo-echo-echo-echo-echo in here?

:goodvibes

Thanks Robo, and everyone else. I hope that the next time we go (hopefully in about 2 years), we'll be able to catch this show. It's one of those songs that gets in your head, and you can't stop singing it all day long (but in a good way, not a IASW kind of way). :thumbsup2

We have the Main Street song on the Disneyland Sing-a-Long Songs and it's my 2 yr. old's favorite!! You should see her put on her fancy dress and dance right along - jazz hands and all :rotfl2:
I had no idea they actually still performed this one...and at WDW!! ...Where we will be in about 62 days :goodvibes :goodvibes
I will DEFINITELY put this on the schedule.
Thanks for bringing it up! See, you never know what good info you'll find on the DIS:banana:

It's actually part of a song from the movie "Meet Me In St. Louis" starring Judy Garland. She did an entire song number on a trolley car, and that part is incorporated into this song that the performers sing. They've added some new music to it. If you ever get at chance to see the movie, it's all about life at the turn of the century culminating in the World's Fair at St. Louis. It takes a family through every season of the year. Very sweet movie.

I love that Trolley song- a great way to start your day at the MK.

When we did Keys to the Kingdom- the guide had us stand at a particular spot on Main St. and looked at her watch and said " in 30 seconds you will have the best spot for the Trolley".

They did their show and one guy looked at me and my bf and said "looks real doesn't it?" because they were obviously lip-synching. :rotfl2:

Hey a little OT but in case you have the VHS; they released a DVD during Disneyland's 50th. It's available on Amazon :thumbsup2 It's not different or anything, I just like being able skip through songs easier.
