OK, by no means is this a political debate or statement but -

Is anyone else tired of hearing that line from Kerry/Bush in the begining of every commercial???

I didn't realize how much of a catch phrase its becoming until today when I witnessed by own 12 year old use this line (with his own name) for the introduction to his speech for the student body elections!

AAARRRGGGG!!!

haven't paid much attention to it really.

Maybe it's just our area, but geez, we get at LEAST 4 an hour during primetime!!

Yeah, it is kinda annoying, but I hate all the political ads period.

That's too funny about your 12 yr old though! LOL!!

It's the law. The new McCain-Feingold campaign law requires candidates to take responsibility for their ads. It makes them say it out loud, and show their faces.

It is supposed to cut down on the number of nasty campaign commercials.

Annoying as it is..... I don't need a commercial to help me decide - I already know who I'm voting for.

I've been wondering that. They used to have to say something at the end about how the commercial was paid for, so now they have to have the actual candidate state it? It makes sense about cutting down on the silly, childish, nasty ones.....Or will it???

I don't watch much tv, so I probably don't hear it as much as you, but your 12 old saying it sure is cute. :sunny:

So far not !

"Three-quarters of the ads aired by Bush's campaign have been attacks on Kerry. Bush so far has aired 49,050 negative ads in the top 100 markets, or 75 percent of his advertising. Kerry has run 13,336 negative ads -- or 27 percent of his total. The figures were compiled by The Washington Post using data from the Campaign Media Analysis Group of the top 100 U.S. markets. Both campaigns said the figures are accurate."

I'm sick of all politicians :)

two4ruff I love that photo in your signature. My son, who is all grown up now, started playing hockey when he was 4 and continued until he graduated high school. That photo makes me remember the "old" days and they are sweet memories.....well, except for all of those "away" games early in the mornings ;)

What a sweet picture, faithinkarma. I'm all puddled up now. I remember those days :)
