I'm 41 years old and today I laid down in the grass near the top of a hill, and rolled all the way down.

It was almost as much fun as I remembered it being. :cheer2: That is, until I stood up. :crazy2:  I felt like I was going to puke.

Still, dd3 got a kick out of me joining her in her game, so it was worth it. :goodvibes

What have you done lately that made you think "I'm too old for this"?

:bday:  :cool1:

Old is just a state of mind and it's always someone who is 20 years older than me. ;)

However, after riding Mission Space 2 times in a row, I felt the same way - I'm too old for this. :crazy2:

I have such great ambition when I head out on that stupid trampoline! :yay:

After a few minutes and a bad case of the giggles, the kids know that when Mom says she's had enough that really means she just wet her pants.

climbing in the McDonald's play tower/house/trap. Oh my knees were killing me! My youngest was crying b/c she didn't want to go down the slide. She cried all the way down the slide as we went down together.

I, in all sincerity, climb trees!!! When I am too old to do that, I QUIT!

Just a number!

I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday! It seems we share one. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!

I hope you have fun today!

been there, done that :teeth:

Don't let your kids talk you into trying a somersault. On hard grass. Down hill. Ouch.

The flippy bar on the swingset wasn't a good idea either.

lets see,

found out the other day I couldnt get past the first 'monkey bar'
when I sit on the ground I look around to see if there is anything I need to do when Im down there.
cant ride some of the coasters I use to be able to.
cant eat some of the stuff I use to eat(indigestion)

Anybody tried a *head*stand lately? (not hand)

OH MY GOSH it feels like either your brain is gonna explode or the weight of your body will crush your skull. :faint:

First of all, Happy Birthday! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Showing my DD6 how to correctly land her round off back handspring  Yea, I landed it, told her "See you just have to keep everything nice and tight", walked in the house, and swore to myself that I would never, ever do that again and immediately took 2 Motrin. Yep, I felt it the next day, and even the NEXT day. OMG, when did I get old!

I also get dizzy a lot easier. When I pick my son up and swing him around (I mean just one swing, nothing too crazy) I just about fall over. :lmao: And no more headstands for me. Yep, makes my head really hurt!

I have a hard time swinging on the swings... get dizzy and feel like I'm gonna hurl.... :rotfl:
I used to swing for hours!
A couple of weeks ago went snowtubing at a ski resort up here... was scared silly.. felt like I was going 60 miles an hour! :rotfl2:
The tubes were pulled up the hill on a pulley sytem and at the top I had to basically throw myself out of the tube to get up.. real flattering :lmao:
Boy did I feel it the day after too! Every muscle hurt!

I rode Tower of Terror last weekend at Disney. My kids made fun of how scared I was. I guess I am too old for that!

Whenever I get a scrape on my knee or elbow... it takes forever and a day to heal now. I remember wipe outs where I must have lost serious skin, but I never hurt the next day and I don't remember taking any time at all to heal.

Ok- I'll preface this by saying I'm not old (I'll be 25 in May)- but I can tell I'm certainly headed that direction..

Last weekend DH and I CHAPERONED his 8th grade cousin and her two friends to a concert. I guess since they aren't old enough to go by themselves, we were a step above her parents. Since when do I chaperone things? :rotfl: I felt OLD. NOT TO MENTION that this particular concert was of the LOUD BANG YOUR HEAD AND MOSH UNTIL YOU BLEED variety. Geez. I felt like yelling, "Turn it down! That's not music- that's just yelling!" :lmao:

oops!! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that it was my birthday. It's not really, but thank you so much for the good wishes. I'll hand them over to you, ziggystardust. :bday:

txgirl and rachie, I've learned to always go to the bathroom immediately before getting on a trampoline or in a jumpy castle. ::yes::

Tinky, I am very impressed that you could even do the roundoff-backhandspring without breaking a few bones! :thumbsup2 I'm afraid to even try a cartwheel anymore, I don't think I'd land on my feet. :sad2:

Oops, you didn't say it was your birthday. I read your post wrong. I read it as ..... "I'm 41 today...", not "I'm 41 AND today..."

Geez, I guess I need to wear my reading glasses more often....a sure sign of being old! Darn! :teeth:
