i've been phoning around today and am still waiting for some to get back to me with prices, so watch this space! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :wizard:
I am so excited now, can't wait to have a new countdown :flower: :earsboy: :cool1:

Thats great new Jeanette :cheer2: Where you staying?

Michelle

Lucky you :sunny: I am still working on DH to try and persuade him to book for us and my 2 DDs for next September.

Go for it - it might take your mind off your Sciatica. One word of caution though, you will have to declare your back problem to the insurance company and they will probably not cover you for it.

I had to cancel the day before a trip to the Far East last September because of Sciatica - no way could I have sat on the plane for so long - luckily as it was a new problem I was covered, but as yours will be pre-existing - I doubt they will cover you.

Great News Jeanette, let us know how you get on. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

On another note with regards to the travel insurance as long as any pre exsisting conditions are declared to the travel company, you will be covered, your preimiums may go up a bit, but as long as you declare them, you will be covered for cancellation. I only know this as I just had to sort this out for my mum, who has 2 pre exsisting conditions, her premiums went up by £25.00 compared with the norm, but well worth it to insure she is covered for cancellation or any medical treatment needed for these conditions.

My Mother was quoted an extra premium of over £400 to cover her existing back condition - they actually told us they loaded it so much to make people exclude it!

It must vary. DH & I both have what you would deem pre-existing medical conditions. We received one quote which was over £600 more than the norm (!) but shopped around (extensively ;) ) and ended up with one that was only £20 or so more than the quote for people with no medical conditions. This was for the same cover exactly.

Definitely shop around!

hi!!
i will definetly be booking the flydrive with skydeals as no one can beat the price.
its flying with virgin, and even the charter prices were coming in a lot dearer :confused3
i am just waiting for dh to clear it with his firm to let him have 3 weeks of instead of the usual 2, so hopefully it will all be booked tomorrow.
so watch this space!! :Pinkbounc
also thanks for the advice on the travel insurance, i'll give them a ring tomorrow and see whats what. :flower:

HI :sunny:
Dh firm has said he can book the 3 weeks off for next year which is great news!! I am now waiting for skydeals to come back to me in the first week of september when are seats will be confirmed on the virgin flight. if the price quoted to me is the same , then i will go ahead and pay the deposit :sunny:
I am not bothered really who i fly with, all i want is to fly direct into florida.
the charters were coming in dearer than virgin.
i think the days of cheap tickets are gone, unless your lucky enough to get a late deal. we cant do this as there are 2 families going.

Thats great news :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2: Happy planning.
